- I WAS LOOKING FOR A NEW WELDING CART FOR THE HTP PRO PULSE 220 WELDER I HAVE. IT IS A BIT WIDER AND HEAVIER THAN SOME OF THE OTHER MULTIPROCESS WELDERS I HAVE HAD. SO I FIGURED I WOULD LOOK AT GETTING ONE FROM THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE WELDER. I AM GLAD I DID. THIS CART IS SO MUCH MORE STABLE AND SECURE THAN THE OTHER ONE I HAVE. MY HPT WELDER, PLASMA CUTTER AND ALL THE GEAR I NEED TO RUN THEM FITS NICELY WITH ROOM TO SPARE. I OPTED FOR THE DUAL GAS ADD ON BRACKETS AS WELL. THESE THINGS ARE STOUT! IF YOU WOULD LIKE ONE, GO TO USAWELD.COM AND USE THE DISCOUNT CODE "J.C.SMITH" FOR ADDITIONAL SAVINGS. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE VIDEO!
A ratchet strap cut to length is easy and quiet way to keep welding gas bottles in place. I’ve used 1 1/2 inch straps cut it to size they are easily fixed
You guys do AMAZING work, JC!
I understand completely about the issues you struggle with regarding "house cleaning." It's a daily struggle...and when you basically run out of workspace, regaining that space is a heckuva task!
Keeping a "clean, organized" shop is a job in itself.
Well I'm impressed with the quality of the trolley and I'm not surprised you're going to modify it a touch . All should be good when the cash flow on the outstanding projects starts coming back in . I'm sure there's a fair few of us with 1 or 3 in the process holding a fair bit of cash until finished . Like many aswell I'm sure we all have a clean up and remove piles of non essential parts and bits after a build either to be sold on or replaced with other parts . Always a great video to watch thanks for sharing
Oh I hear ya J.C, I've got a ton of stuff to catch up on too! I like the welding cart. Hopefully it works well for you. Take care 🔧🔩
I really enjoy the way you do things. I would enjoy spending time in the shop with you.
Nice! My temporary solutions often become the permenant solutions as well.
that is exactly why i dont like to do anything "temporary". i never make the time to go back and address it again. one and done is best for me.
Looks like a quality welding cart J.C. That’s the same concept I had with my welding table I sent you a photo of the other day. It’s so much more convenient to have everything you need in one place that you can roll right where you’re working instead of having to drag multiple things around constantly.
Great video J.C.Smith very nice welding cart makes it easier to use your welder or plasma cutter. Thanks for sharing stay safe J.C.Smith 👍
Dear J.C. Smith projects couple.
👍👌👏 Yeah, get rid of the welders and plasma cutter that you don't use any longer. Shove it in the back of your store but keep it as substitutes if needed. 2) I had the same problem with those chains that hold the shielding gas bottle tanks. I pretty much wanted to do the same what you are thinking of. Instead I simply shoved two small wooden boards between the tank and the chain, additionally 2 common wooden wedges. This typical interim solution does fine since almost 4 decades now! 😁🙈 I store my welding gun and welding helmet in absolutely the same way you do. But I always put an old olive green steel helmet (maybe from the German army?) over my gauges to protect them if not used.
As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and especially health to all 3 of you.
By the way: How's Jeff doing? Better I hope.
Suggestion I used rubber hose that I split to go around thr back of the tank as a cushion
Like the way you did the cart.Good job
I welded a length of e-track on my torch cart to secure my tanks. A short ratchet strap keeps the tanks very secure nestled back into the curved supports.
I did garden hose on my tank brackets so they don't rub, your stuff is way better then my 1/8 th gauge brackets.
The welder cart looks great Looking forward to seeing more projects.
Thanks. I’ll watch ANY content you upload.
I ran out of space in my garage years ago. I hate it. I need to do a major cleaning day for my work bench.
I can't wait to see the future projects.i myself love the content and enjoy your and you wife
I used L brackets for my primeweld tig225x and drilled holes in the cart and used existing case holes on the welder.
Great video ! Can't wait for project Overkill 👍👍
CLEAN UP IS GREAT TO CREATE A LITTLE SPACE FOR MORE PROJECTS WHILE WORKING ON OTHERS THAT NEED EXTRA TIME ,YOU HAVE FOUND SCRAPE METAL IN SHOP TO MAKE BRACKETS TO AIR BAGS SURPORTS AND OTHER STUFF WITHOUT MAKING TIMLEY RUNS INTO TOWN .
PROJECTS EQUALS TIME CRUNCH THAT HAVE TO BE DONE FOR OTHER THINGS TO BE DONE IN A TIME QUOTED.
Your cart looks good
Love it
Looks like a good, heavy-duty press, almost.😊
I took a garden wagon and made a cart to holds a Millermadic 211, cutmater 42. Along with a bottle mounted over the axle. With the 10" tires it can be drag anywhere with easy. The handle can be flipped around to be pulled by a atv. Its low to the ground.
One of my better projects i cobbled together
nice set up I think
Awesome job with the cart!
That cart came out pretty nice!
I’m enjoying it!
hello j.c. and mrs. smith it's is randy and yours video is cool thanks friends randy
Your shop sounds like mine, I have 2 f550 in for major repairs, f450 engine, personal suv engine, still have fix the hualer truck soon. Plus work 84h at a northern site. Just piles up, plus it's not customers job, it just burns money both ways.
I am guessing the labor was different deal, that is what killed your pocket book. Hopefully your not acting like a bank on parts.
Not beating on you, just been there before.
Wait, you weren't paid for all the Peterbilt work?
That confused me too. I hope he did!
One more here confused lol
i have been paid in full for the parts.
@@j.c.smithprojects 👍👍
great video
I need a nice cart
i was going to build my own but this cart works well and saved me all the time / effort.
What is the other plasma cutter you have? I've been looking for one and looking for people's opinion.
its the htp microcut 45 dv. i have been using it exclusively since i got it. it works extremely well. i havnt touch my hypotherm since i got it.
Nice cart. However, always puzzled why a guy that welds and has an abundance of scrap buys a cart?🙂
i cant build this for what it costs to buy. if i used the steel that i have, this cart would weigh 300lbs by itself. it would be a waste of my resources.
True. Interesting build.
😮😮😮. NOT IN YOUR LIFE TIME
