    *Giannis the Greek Freak is the ONLY Big man in the league that matches the physicality & insensitivity of the 80s and 90s*

      Both ar to blame and the version of Giannis you are seeing his year shows you that the players hands are jus as dirty as the exec`s. His 3 point attempts are under 1 per night while he`s leading the league in scoring and getting to the line almost 12 times per night. From a players perspective, that takes a whole hell of a lot more effort than just hunting step-backs.

      I think there's no rivalries cause is a much more competitive league, so teams dont look for their rivalry, before lakers and spurs were the west champions 11 out of 12 years between 1999 and 2010 and that was a big rivalry, lebron's teams heat vs spurs were 2 years of amazing finals and cavs didn't have competence in the east so warriors were dominant 5 years, right now you dont know who's gonna go to the finals in the west, cause okc and rockets are young teams but the best this season, but minnesota, denver, mavs, grizzlies and clippers have something to say, west is a 2 team competence, obviously cavs and celtics but knicks, magic and bucks I think are not that far away

    • @duffman4655
      @duffman4655 29 дней назад

      There's nothing competitive about a 3 point contest, it's a pick up game where whoever wins both sides seems satisfied with the game and dap each up afterwards. GGs but rivalries would carry that loss over and straight up be telling them mofos that they ain't gonna win twice and play harder against them the next meet up. They play exactly the same and win or lose, dap each other up afterwards. If they ain't passionate about winning, why watch?

    The competition from 80's and 90's to the early 2000's are what brought the aesthetic of the game to the peak of the art form. But it's true Stephen Curry is a legend for single handedly ruining the game further by his green light at the arc. But he too has added to the aesthetic of the game and it's noticeable now and more noticable after he retires. There will never be another Steph Curry.😎

      Curry didn't ruin the game.
      Lebron team switching and Stat Padding for rings, Load Management and players not wanting to compete, No fundamentals nor team offensive movement, too many 3's, no defense and no violations called ruined the game. And the "Woke" agenda was icing on the cake.
      Curry didn't ruin the game, you supposed to be able to shoot good. People who not good shooter trying to be Curry ruins the game.

    • @dreskee8422
      @dreskee8422 Месяц назад +5

      @@truthiscensored I dunno. Shooting three pointers is one thing and shooting at the end of the quarter to beat the buzzer is another thing that would fly with any coach. But Stephen Curry is the only one given the green light to shoot the three pointer on a fast break, and then became the only one to have the green light to shoot from near logo center court in regulation. Everyone that played "Small Guard" doing it afterward didn't help the league, but Step Curry is the first to normalize it due to making majority of those shots to compete. Jason "White Chocolate" Williams tried the same method of three pointers on fast breaks and he would get benched even if he made the shot. It was technically just the worst basketball i.q. decision to make with a wide open driving lane for an easy non-contested two points. M.J. set the bar too high with style of winning at will and streaks with a winning team. Shaq came afterward and tore down rims to further demolish the game. LeBron started from 18 years old and averaged almost 30 points for his 22+ year career to obtain the most points scored record. So that can only be done by someone given the same opportunity. Then Steph Curry was given the green light to break the myth that shooting teams couldn't win championships as long as big dominant centers played the post game, so they removed big dominant post game centers when Shaq bruised all of them for hacking him. Now Steph will hold a 400 three pointers in one season record forever.😎

  • @LaCheleWallace
    @LaCheleWallace Месяц назад

    The physicality of '80s and '90s NBA is something that comes from within, fellas. You cannot learn how to play like that. That was the gift that God blessed y'all with. I was just watching old footage of Mr. Jordan and...man! He knew what the other players were gonna do before they even did it. It gives you chills and make yo' eyes well up. Today's players are not blessed w/ that type of seasoning. I try not to say that it comes "once in a lifetime," but looking at how things are going... Anyhow, being called a "hater" comes w/ the territory, fellas. You're gonna be a hater for being passionate about something you gave yo' life to and want to see thrive. I'll be 40 years old next year so I understand exactly where the OGs are coming from. I feel like the players of today move kinda slow and basic. Just a far cry from what I remember. The seasoning, magic and soul is gone.

  • @mikeomalley2460

    1:15 I dont think the players "dont want it", I think it's more likely that the status quo has become so friendly now that dudes are afraid to cross the unspoken picket line and be the "villain" so to speak. There's like a taboo on being that level of competitive nowadays, and that can be hard to break out of.

Why should I drive it in and bang up when I can just chuck up a 3. Why should I play defense when the rules and refs allow players to travel to the next planet.

      @@MakaveliCVW All things you said are the same things i don't like too but make no mistske the game is more advanced now, you can't put the same lineups of past eras and expect to win in today's nba, you can't win if you don't shoot good enough from 3, you can't win if you don't have fast and versatile players who can switch positions. Yes it's a totally different game, yes the way player behave are part of the society we live in, yes I miss the post game but no era is perfect. Each era has pros and cons and present different challenges. There is so much talent out there and the best teams play very good team basketball that I absolutely enjoy. Unfortunately too many people of my age are stuck in the past, sure no era can replace the rivalry and my memories of 80's 90"s and 00's basketball but the game has evolved a lot and the offensive strategies are constantly evolving make it very intersting if you are an hardcore fans and put time into understand the intrecacy of today's nba offensive and defensive strategies.

      @@MakaveliCVWThe officiating is another story but you didn't understand. I'm not saying players are overall better i'm staying basketball comcepts are more advanced and better because they fully take advsntage of rules and the 3 point line. You can win with past great players playing with today's comcepts but not with entire old school lineups with poor shooting on the floor and bigs who get exploited on defense. Trust me i know what i'm talking about. The officiating is a problem no doubt, devalue the game and makes players look better but that's another topic.

    Embiid is the exception for not playing back to backs because his knees can not do it. He basically is Patrick Ewing's knees reincarnated. It shortened Pats prime for sure. Embiid is getting up there in age. If I was gm I would sit him until New Years, then he can play minus back to backs. Weak ass east, 40 games makes the playoffs.
    I am not against load management to an extent. Pop did it for years to his big 3, they had a resurgence in their mid 30s and went to back to back finals. MJ retired twice and missed a full year for his foot. Lebron has missed 2 full seasons if you add them up. It worked for them. I wish Shaq, Barkley, Admiral, Ewing, D Wade, Dirk, Hakeem, Yao, Tmac, Isiah, Bird and McHale would have done it, their careers would have been longer for us to watch. Kobe's career was cut short because he was going to hard to try and make playoffs, tore his Achilles. I remember watching that season, Kobe was playing so good, but every minute of the games and OT. All those dude were broken towards the end, and as an investment you want them healthy for as long as possible. Maybe Dominiqe, and KD don't have their career threatening injuries if they did it.
    The coach needs to figure out the 10 games the veteran star will miss before the season starts and make it public so that fans do not buy tix and networks do not air the games. You just cant do it like Kawhi. It's gotta be like missing 2 games per month max.
