Thanks for putting these videos out. 4 years healed up from throat cancer. Having to re-learn how to control my breath and speech again and your videos really help. Hope you're well. Keep it up!!
Hi, great video and really helpful exercises! I have been struggling with running out of breath and not managing to project the confident voice that I want, but luckily I recently discovered your channel and you have several excellent videos so thank you!

When I think I need a small breath for a shorter sentence, I always run out of breath. I think I'll do better if I always take in a deep breath, and do a short pause to let out the extra air and take another deep breath. I've always felt uncomfortable doing it, because I don't want there to be a pause. What do you do when you don't want unplanned pauses?
I wouldn't take a deep breath and let out the remainder. Try and gauge how much breath you need for each phrase (takes practice), although thinking about the in-breath as the amount of air you need to smell a flower is a good guide. Don't be afraid of the pause...
I'm enjoying your videos and finding them very helpful. So I listen, learn, read books on speaking, articulation, etc., but my biggest problem is remaining conscious of all these tips and insights once I start speaking. Once I start speaking my consciousness goes 100% into my material and I unconsciously fall back into old speaking patterns. Perhaps it's a matter of taking sufficient time with exercises. Anyway, thank you for your great tips.
This is a common problem with all of my clients. It's about creating habitual muscle memory. The more consistently you practice the exercises, the more effective they will become. There's a ot to be said also about working with a coach for accountability. Have you tried my Master Your Voice quiz: jimmycannon.scoreapp.com
I would love some tips and techniques with words and breathing on how to cut in to meetings with confidence and authority. At the moment I feel like a mouse squeaking trying not to be impolite.

Sir I can't talking loudly after this breathe exercise also talk loud means some pain in throat sir what I do???
This also will help if you have pain in the throat when you speak ruclips.net/video/niR9h8Z_ZDY/видео.html
You should be using the breath controlled from the Abdominal muscles, which will free up the tension in the throat.

The exercise is to practice controlling the breath to create more resonance when you speak.
