Even F1 doesn't really race in the rain these days. If it's worse than the intermediate tires can handle, they tend to give up. I hope the All-Star race happens tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞
There is a drain there in turn 1. It was one of the first things they repaired when they resurrected the track. Sounds like it was clogged when this happened.

Idk how many times in those early years a big storm would come thru and flood that place out for nearly a month and it was still a rutty sloppy mess by the time we got to go back.
I thought this was a NASCAR race, not a swim meet lol… ironic thing is that the track is at this weekend was cancelled last year due to extreme flooding in the area

Yes, that was a really good movie singing in the rain I’m singing in the rain, so so yes they’re going to need probably a lot of pumps or street pumps or probably rework on the drainage system because I know the drainage like those drainage system for the pipes like under the race track will probably be preyful wire probably by tomorrowso they’re probably to bring straight pumps pumps the pump out the water maybe I don’t know but that is a lot of water a lot of water
