Can't the bats fly back into the house through the clear tube?

Negative, they are unable to grip or grab a hold of the smooth surface of the tube. Thanks for the question. Shalom.

Using foam to install a bat cone is never a good idea unless you're wanting to entomb bats in the foam. Gorilla tape is significantly safer and easier to use, it will come off a lot easier and the bats won't stick to it.

Thanks for your thought, but that's incorrect. Due to the nature of bat door installs Pur Black foam is the best method. First, it cures extremely fast and being that the work is done in the daytime bats are not in contact with it. Second, the tube is not closed off and leaves adequate room for the bats to evacuate the space. Third, Gorilla tape is notorious for leaving adhesive residue, whereas, when the foam is removed it rarely leaves any unsightly material. Fourth, it is impossible to effectivel use Gorilla tape in many of the locations in which bats have found to enter a structure. Fifth, I've been performing this method for 10 years in the wildlife mitigation industry and have been in numerous attics after bat doors have been installed and have never encountered any bats afterward. I hope this insight has provided clarity as to why this approach is the best method.

Different ways to skin a cat I guess. I'm NWCOA Advanced Structural bat standards certified and have been trained and learned to air on the side of caution when it comes to bats. Bats often hang out near their entry point, especially during the active seasons. Pumping a bunch of foam directly on an entry point is always a terrible idea regardless of the kind of foam used. Glad it's worked for you so far, you're a professional, but putting a video out advising the untrained public, who will most likely go buy "great stuff" to do it can seriously endanger entire colonies of bats.

@Bobby Holloway Thank you again for your concern, but I do not "skin cats" nor do I care for such distrubing imagery utilized as a metaphor. The LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the name of Yehoshua has led me to this industry and has provided the knowledge I need to render the services I do. To which no unnecesary harm has come, nor will come to any bats. When you are in the New River or Roanoke Valleys I will gladly show you how this is done effectively. As for others sir, well I do not have control over them nor their choices. If I did that would make me god and that wouldn't be cool. Psalm 128:1-2 "Blessed is everyone that feareth the LORD, that walks in His way. Thou shalt eat by the labor of thine hands, happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." BTW, I'm not hungry. Oh, and some of the most intelligent people I've encountered are smarter than their education. Shalom...
