If it's attached flush to the soffit, would the pv piping need to be reconfigured ? For example, the end of the pipe facing down? In your video the bats would exit straight out from the wall, pass through the elbow and then out. If I attached this to a soffit, the foot long exit tube would run parallel to the soffit. I was just wondering if bats would then be able to return through the pvc because it running parallel. Thanks!
Great advice for my attic. I was trying to figure out how to make a one way door using hardware cloth but this is a much easier solution. Thanks again

Yes, it would need to be reconfigured. The tube needs to go straight down. If parallel to the ground, they will simply crawl back in.
