Clanye Crawford is a great actor, you should watch him in that billy bob Thornton movie Baytown outlaws. He was great in that and lethal weapon and was on his way to being a star when he got semi cancled for something that happened while working on leather weapon. It's good to see him making movies still. ( not a judgment on what he did or did not do on leather weapon I honestly don't remember, just talking about his talent as an actor)

Getting fired by one of the biggest studios Warner Bros he was ultimately canceled as an actor regardless of how good an actor he is, it difficult to make a come back of which he can but it would take something significant and another big studio willing to take another chance on him, e. g. Robert Downey jnr, Brendan Fraser who both got cancelled during their careers and came back with a bang.But also bear in mind, it doesn't happen with everybody.

If Den of Thieves is 3rd (basically a very poor Heat). Then Heat most be so far ahead of the rest which I'd agree I've never seen a robbery/heist/thriller come close to that master piece.

Despite the "straight to DVD" vibes and the b-list cast, this one looks actually pretty good, and i do want to watch it. Brings me back to a time where this was the kind of movie you'd see in theaters with top actors and director. Too bad nowadays most of the stuff you get in theaters is Disney buffed dudes in pijamas fighting on a green screen with cgi monsters and zero violence.
The Disney/Marvel superhero era is coming to an end, in fact, Hollywood in its current form is coming to an end. Its 1968 again. The next 10/15 years expect to see a new forms of cinematic storytelling emerge.
I mean they only did one small single robbery. Bank looked small. It woulda been a lot better if they woulda made another heist before actually getting caught and into the problem

I got Heat and Den of Thieves vibes too. Two of my favorites as well. They don't make these kinds of crime movies anymore. It's good to see. If you haven't already seen, there's a trailer for another gritty crime movie called 'Confidential Informant' with Mel Gibson and Dominic Purcell that would probably be up your alley.
