@@driftset562 I loved Navy Seals with the good old "Charlie Sheen" in it. In fact I watched that so many times and it was that film that got me interested in joining the Military. I did !!! However I loved it and still do but I always keep my dad's comments in my head and to a degree he's right. He said " Please please don't join up on what you see in this film. It's stunt men and tomato sauce ! These type of films " Glorify " war and trust me, War is far from Glory !!! You get into a position that the soldiers face and come up against in this and many other war films you will not becoming back to us in one piece, if you come back at all ! If you do and your "physically " ok, you and many of your brothers and sisters 99% of the time will come back with an " Invisible " killer and this can and may well be with you for the rest of your life !!!
I'm a Vet of 2x Iraq and 1x Afghan. I'm coming into my 15th year of still serving HM but behind locked gates and doors, big steel fences and walls that have some of the most sharpest barbed and razor wire known to man. Your clientele are some of the worst and most dangerous Woman, Men and Children you could wish to meet and introduce to your parents over dinner !!! Lol.
These type of films are fantastic, jaw dropping, edge of your seat watch and I love them. But, sadly my ode man was right, no big muscles showing off, long haired Stallones, bald headed Stathams, or robotic half human Van Dammes jumping out of the smallest fox holes to fire one hand gun and destroying 19 tanks, 8 Wingy things and 700 odd infantry all firing on you ( and missing) whilst your single shot Glok blows everything up !!!!
I know such a rivet counter, spoiling all the fun etc but before anybody does the same as me and joins up, please please think about it ! Then watch Saving Private Ryan and the first scene where the Heroes of WW2 take the beach and the Germans defences ! Infact just watch the very first part of what I've just said when the Heroes approach the beach in the landing craft ( if they even got past that first approach) and see when they do make the beach, those front doors, ramps etc, drop for the Heroes to "de-buss" the most of them get cut down like animals, quite literally ...!!!! Or watch Fury, they have a couple of scenes in the film that are a good reference of the horrific, life altering and extremely big tasks the Heroes faced in WW2.
I'm a party pooper I know, and I do apologise I really do. I just don't want young girls, woman, young men and others seeing the films and making very real decisions that could well be the worst and horrific thing they do !! All War/s are not Glory even if the mission is a win or conquer of the enemy and country they are serving with !!!!
Now I've just depressed you all, for the day ahead you may of been looking forward to etc etc ... I'll bugger off !!!! Thank you for the videos you do, they are good and full of entertainment and sorry I've said this but im so fed up and angry at films here and there that do this but, they are also..... Fantastic and entertaining and never get old !!!!! Plus.... they also tend to keep us intrigued and some help us learn !!!
Sorry again folks, please all stay safe, healthy and keep doing what your doing !
      Sorry, Fondest regards !

13 hours was fantastic, but is really more of a borderline SEaL movie. Blackhawck was outstanding, but a Ranger and Delta based story.
Please don't feel like I am downing those choices, they are both great movies, I just think they belong on a different list....at the top.

    • @zabiakchannel1105
      @zabiakchannel1105 2 года назад +3

@@Penny_Pincher_Outdoors in Black Hawk Down five Navy SEALs were also present during the raid, each earning a Silver Star. Several of the SEALs were part of the initial assault force, according to award citations at the time, and helped fight in and out of the crash sites. Wasdin, the SEAL who helped capture Atto, was wounded three times during the battle. I fully recommend Howard Wasdin book “Seal Team Six”.
When go deeper into 13 Hours true story, you will find out that John Krasinski's character was indeed based on a real person, a Navy SEAL whose name was changed for the book and movie to protect his identity. The same like other characters.
Also, I don't want to be misunderstood, but I am interested in the topic of Navy Seals. I read many books about them and many biographies of former members of the division. I learned a lot of interesting things and got to know many surprising facts.
The list above is just my private point of view of movies where Navy Seals are (more or less).
Take care and all the best.

Not to mention Marcus Luttrell was in the movie, too, and was on set for every second of production which is one of the reasons it's hands down the best "SEAL" movie of all time. Talk about a true American Hero!

@@prithvinareshsummun4165 First, Black Hawk Down features no SEALS but Rangers from the 75th Regiment, a few Detachment-D operators and the Night Stalkers SOAR. No SEAL has a second of screen in that movie. The Hurt Locker follows a small team of US Army EOD. The Army may have (surely has) joint missons with SEAL teams (likely partning with other tier one units or so like CAG and/or the Ranger Reconnainssance Company....) but any SEAL Team is Navy branch. How did you choose the top 5 ´Navy SEAL´ movies?
The Rock is about a group of renegade Marines. SEALs only play a small part
Zero Dark Thirty is about the hunt for OBL. ST6 only appear at the end
In my opinion, the top SEAL movies are:

Tears of the Sun is cool even very cinematographic, Act of Valor that started first as a recruitment clip is certainly more realistic and at the same time of zero dark thirty we had Code name: Geronimo...Since few series emerged like SiX or Seal Team...the last terminal... few recent movies like Redemption day, without remorse, renegade, triple frontiers.. etc... good action but... and I almost forget Captain Philips where navy Seals had a key role but not the center the the movie story ... 🙂 and for the same retirement plan 13 Hours is a good piece!
