Look, if your shoe unties, you keep marching. If your shoe comes off in the middle of the field, you keep marching. If you fall, you recover and keep on marching. If your pants come down, you got to keep marching.
My instrument came apart during a performance. The whole end joint was just gone. I had to wait until the com petition was over and go find the trampled remains. But apparently it made a member of another band almost trip, so it wasnt all bad.
It's true. Once a really big black be flew in my friends face and she just stood their not moving at all because we were in attention. SHE'S ALLERGIC TO BEES!
same, they must not take marching band seriously. like we typically start band a month before school starts every day except for Sundays. I don't blame the students, I blame the directors
Nathan Jasper your band director sounds alot like mine although he probably would've made my band the Golden Regiment run like 10 laps around the track 100 push ups 100 sit ups and then probably shoot us in the face although I'm exaggerating sounds like what he would do
Mangle // Bite of 87 No, my Marching Band calls them overalls because they are literally overalls. Not Marching Band Overalls, they're literally just black overalls
In all honesty before they pointed out t his pants fell I thought his drum harness broke. It's not unheard of we had that happen during a performance once.
I was always taught that if you make a mistake, or something bad happens, just keep going. Most of the crowd will not realize what is happening. Props to that bass drummer. Good thing he did not have any drill moves that required long strides.
While watching a performance at MFA Grand Nationals I saw a judge get hit in the head by a trombone slide. The look on his face was priceless! Also at band practice one time a guard girl tossed a rifle...and it landed on her head. Ouch!
+Liliana Sandberg (faunawhisperer) LOL, as they remind us in my band, if someone is in your spot, you run them over and they won't be in your spot any more...
I'm in colorguard and we were at a competition a year ago and it was about 30 degrees. Mind you the uniforms were not very warm. Anyway everyone in the guard had at least 4 hot pockets shoved wherever and each band member had one in each pocket. We marched a great show and as we were leaving the field there must have been at least 20 hot pockets that have fallen out. The announcer actually said "Salem, I think you forgot something." Anyway the whole crowd laughed at my band director as he ran around the field picking them up.
When I was in high school marching band, we had two uniforms. One for the school year which was pants (not bibbers) and in the summer for competition we wore kilts. Part of our uniform for both styles were suspenders to keep them from falling, but it wasn't uncommon to have a clasp or two fail in a show. We were also required to wear shorts under the kilts, however we had some smart alec members who wanted to be "true Scots" (It was a Scottish themed band) and went commando. We had one routine that started with a twirl and with kilts being pleated, they occasionally would rise a little. One particular show was a little windy and the wind happened to catch the kilt of one of the smart alecs and lifted the entire kilt up to his shoulders, exposing all his "glory".
In my Guard, we had to wear a one piece that had a zipper from the right collar bone to the left ankle. So at a football game, I was spinning when I realized the zipper was sliding down. I freaked, knowing I couldn't stop, but at the same time I was NOT going to flash the entire audience. So as soon as the band hit a rest, I reached down and caught the zipper with my teeth and yanked it up, still smiling. That was some scary shit and I was lucky as hell I was able to stop it😂😂😂
Mood, i hate when that happens 😂, last year we had two peice coustumes and we were so used to one peice, so i notice that my shoulder strap was coming down (it only had one shoulder strap) and as soon as the band stoped i nuged it up with my shulder then grabed it with my teeth, nobody noticed except my guard instructor haha
😂😂😂 , one time I we had a kind of dress uniform and we had to wear strapless Bras and when I was marching my bra started sliding down and slide all the way down to my stomach and I knew the show must go on but I was trying to pull my bra back up while marching. Ended up marching that show with my bra on my stomach. Luckily the uniform was not see through so you couldnt tell that my bra was on my stomach 😂
I come from a band with a 15 piece brass line that smashed hella competitions. Hell we constantly competed in 4a/5a in local competitions consistantly well. That band looks a good bit bigger than mine was and it definitely just not in shape.
In my band, girls have to wear short shorts and guys have to wear boxers under their band pants. I had to fill in for my friend on the toms because he had a massive solo with a colorguard guy. I stood there in my bright neon green and purple "Rev Up Your Harley" joker boxers for the whole third movement.
LEFT IS WHEN YOUR FOOT HITS THE DAMN GROUND, LEFT IS WHEN YOU HEAR THIS SOUND, LEFT IS NOT... RIGHT! LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT... I honestly hate hearing that so much at practice it kills me
I see all these comments on how horrible this is but the thing is is the video is 3 minutes long so we don't know how far they are in the season and we only see a few seconds of the second movement so they are probably a week or 2 into football season and still working it out all bands first and second football games have kinks awesome BD for keeping going and for Jesus Mary and Joseph THEY ARE CALLED BIBERS NOT FRICK ING JUMPERS OR OVERALLS BIBERS B I B E R S ty
Mike Krystyan it doesn't matter if the season just started. If that's how a band starts their season, it's going to awful. If the show is still not good enough, it shouldn't be put on the field for an audience
I am in marching and if something happens while you are on the field, you must not move from your position for it will make the band look bad. That is what my director always taught us, and it has always been that way for many band directors across the nation.
jAdamariE broad statement, since it isn't a sport. It is like saying football is math for dumb people. Also literally a majority of the band at my school are insanely dumb
I can relate to this I got hit in the head by a trombone slide I swear it's always the trombones and I was laughing a little cuz my hat fell lol but I kept going. And one time I pulled something in my shoulder when I was marching I got hair in my face and mouth piece it was funny but you gotta keep going on. Highfives to this guy!!
So I had this one competition a few weeks ago. I had 2 solos, one before the actual show and the outro to our show. The first one was fine. I got through the entire performance, and we started the outro. I was the only one on the field playing, and every wind player and guard member was pointing at me while kneeling on the ground. I lifted my trombone and started on the high F. It started to double buzz (brass players know what I'm talking about). And so I kept going, and it just got worse. The whole crowd laughed as I took a moment to readjust myself and play the last two eighth notes. My entire band, and the whole crowd just died laughing. It was so embarrassing, I started to laugh. So yea. Good for this kid :D
Gabe Wilson oh God double buzzing is the worst. I tried to play the Star Wars main theme song, but during the second part my saxophone "died" and it was the worst.
When i was in band, we went to one competition and our lead trumpet fell while marching diagonally backwards, proceeded to catch himself with one arm, push himself back up into marching position, and stayed perfectly in time with the rest of the band. It was so seamless that no one, not even our band director, noticed it until we were watching the recording of it and the judge happened to mention what a nice save that was. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my marching band career. I wish i had it on tape.
I had a pair of marching shoes for 3 years, and they were in such horrible shape. And I couldn't afford to get new ones, so I dealt with them. Until they got into such bad shape that I marched out of them at a competition. Both of them came off during the first movement, and I marched in my socks on an extremely muddy field for the rest of the show. We then had to march back to our warm up area after the performance. Everyone along the way just told them how disciplined I was lol. I was crying because I couldn't stand the feeling of wet muddy socks on my feet haha. But after that competition, (my senior year) the band moms, and the band director all pitched in and got me a new pair of shoes. In which I still have to this day.
I've been in Marching band 5 years, and I can tell you that if anything happens, just carry on. I don't care if you fall, drop your mouthpiece, lose a shoe or whatever, keep marching. If a judge gets in your way, you're allowed to run them over. :D
Man I hated those judges at PCI Fessssssssssssstivaaaaaaaal of Bands in Eugene, OR. Freshman year I almost narched over a judgebwho unfortunately movd out of my way at the last second. Still clipped him with end of my flute.
+Caroline richardson We had suspenders. Saved this from ever happening! Now losing shoes in the mud? Totally common. I marched over 3/4 of a show once with only one shoe on in the middle of October.
The strength of a chain is the weakest length. This boy didn't fail and endured to the end to keep the ship afloat!!! I came from a very small school too. May they have great success in their future. Good Job!!!
That was so nice of them to stop their performance just to help him. He was certainly very brave to just keep on marching because if that happened to me I would immediately stop, put them back on and then continue but I would humiliated and dying on the inside.
I had marching band rehearsal one windy day and we all had to wear caps to shield from the sun. Mine went flying off at the beginning of the run but I kept going and luckily, the hat wasn’t squashed by the benches ☺️
Last week at our football game, my brother got to the game with my mom at the end of the halftime show. My brother had been at a superhero dance at his nerd school, so he shows up in his Deadpool costume and starts doing the Floss. So I look up within the last 5 sets of the show to see my dancing Deadpool brother and I just start laughing. I think I messed up on some stuff, but it was so funny.😂
i think its kinda fucked up to upload this and ruin that kids self esteem. i mean fuck, if this happened to me it would be the absolute WORST but then if i found out that someone uploaded to youtube and it got a lot of views that wouldnt help the situation at all. this is really mean of you to upload.. really
similar thing happened my junior year at band camp. A guy on the drumline who played tenors accidentally got one of his belt loops caught in his harness when he put the drum on and then his pants got ripped off from the beginning. thus, he did the first part of the show with no pants on.
Many times cameras and microphones don't catch the full sound, causing some major balance issues. Whenever we listen to recordings of our band and watch videos, it sounds horrible, but somehow we placed second at regionals.
One time during a run through of our show, the soul of one of the trumpet player’s shoe fell off, and he just kept on marching like nothing ever happened.
This reminds me about a fail that happened to me about a month ago when I had to unhook my neck strap inorder to do a wave. After I clipped it back on, it failed 5 seconds later. I nearly dropped my tenor sax, and I had to play it without the strap for the rest of the show.
We just had a competition where our speaker blasted this electronic noise that deafened the whole of percussion section I was in because a mic for a sax solo messed up and we all quickly had to recover
My senior year at the UT Chattanooga competition, I wore absolutely nothing under my uniform. It was 12 degrees. That would've been the worst time for this to happen.
We were in practice one time and these guys came to help. One of them took the color guard to the side and he told us that "No matter what, if you think you have a bad run, look down to make sure you have all of your cloths on." It turns out, a while ago, there was this majorette, viscose was becoming popular, her uniform was made out of that material, and her top snapped and if almost fell down. She held it place with her hand but she had to toss her baton so she thought she could toss and then catch with the other hand. She didn't grab the top in time and it fell down and she had nothing on under it. the judges were yelling to the director to get her off the field but the director didn't notice and the crowd was silent. Their director didn't know what was happening and he was screaming for them and when they finally got her off then the crowd started cheering and he didn't understand why. I thought it was funny I just wanted to share that!
Great story for his grandkids some day! Bass drum kid 50 years later: "kids, did pop pop ever tell you the story about the time I dropped trou during a band competition?" Kids: "oh god, here we go again..."
The name was Fiesta Fantastico :) worst season we had but at this competition we were all really proud of that man!! He preformed very well :) Love you Cullen :)
Just a thought: Depending on the type of uniform pants, they may have been held up with suspenders that simply broke. Our high school band uniform pants weren't the "bibber" variety but were held up by suspenders.
Once, after school during marching rehearsal, I was doing a counter march and bumped into a French horn player.I didn't realize my lip was busted and kept marching. After my director told us to gather up, everyone was looking and saying my lip was bleeding.
Sophmore year I got smacked in the face by a trombone slide at band practice. Senior year at the competition in Corvallis, OSU, it had rained most of the week. Slick soled marching shoes and slick muddy grass do not go together. I have no idea how manybof us fell on that dang muddy field. All I know is I slid the last 10yards or so to my spot on my ass as we were marching to our spots.
Marching band teaches you not only to try to win but also to deal with bad situations . If you can finish your task and hold your head up after a public fail like that you will have learned more than just by coming in first place
This happened to a girl in my Dad's marching band. zipper on the pants broke (This was the 70's) marched right out of them, didn't miss a step. She was a marching goddess for the rest of the year.
Last year someone lost their trombone slide on the field. They just pulled it out too far and dropped it. I didn't see it but other people were telling me they saw a trombone slide on the field as soon as we got off it.
And this is why band kids deserve lots of respect! 😁 I graduated in 2013 and the only thing I miss from High School was being in band. 😭 #Marchingbandproblems
i didnt even realize his pants fell down, i thought he was getting ready to put down his drum
same 😂

Look, if your shoe unties, you keep marching. If your shoe comes off in the middle of the field, you keep marching. If you fall, you recover and keep on marching. If your pants come down, you got to keep marching.

Lol you comment on like every terrible marching band

The best part is the girl in the crowd shouting "Dedication! You the man, bass drum!!"
Ronak Deepak that was my favorite part

Yess
LOL
Marching tests you, man. A bee starts flying around all over your face in the middle of marching, you gotta keep your face and horn forward.
It's true. Once a really big black be flew in my friends face and she just stood their not moving at all because we were in attention. SHE'S ALLERGIC TO BEES!
This one time, at band camp, my friend stepped on a bee and had to sit out for a bit.
One person in my band swallowed a fly and kept on playing.
I've had a wasp land on the end of my trombone then slowly crawl up toward me during a hold
+Camaroni1000 i wouldve ran like a little girl lol
my band director would shoot us all in the face if we ever sounded like that or got out of step like that.... even at rehearsal he'd do that....
Same here lol he would have our skin and use to make durums XD
same, they must not take marching band seriously. like we typically start band a month before school starts every day except for Sundays. I don't blame the students, I blame the directors
alexandbeyond Yeah we did too
They're a small band as well.

Nicole Leonard our color guard uniforms look like janitor outfits😂😂
In all honesty before they pointed out t his pants fell I thought his drum harness broke. It's not unheard of we had that happen during a performance once.
Same
no 😹
I thought he dropped his stick.
I was thinking the same
Stratagem I thought he tripped.
I was always taught that if you make a mistake, or something bad happens, just keep going. Most of the crowd will not realize what is happening. Props to that bass drummer. Good thing he did not have any drill moves that required long strides.
mk6435 Good thing he didn't have to jazz run or march backwards.
+sputnick243 If he had to march backwards...oh lord....
+cpdion it's not that hard if you know what your doing
@@playercero its easier in my opinion
this man sacrificed his dignity so they could win. i bet they lost
😂😂
KingSnail yessuh
I mean yea they sounded horrible😂
Team Black & White Hey that's rude. They actually sound okay. I've seen bad bands, and this isn't one if them.
LMAO. I love the positive vibes you gave, and then slamming it home with the truth XD
Well, I like how dedicated he was! And it makes me happy that the crowd applauded him for it! You go random bass drum player!
1:58 YOU THE MAN BASS DRUM!
Well played
that man later turned out to be the best bass drum ever lol
+PiGamings really?
JohnnyThe AwesomenessSauceda LOL THAT kID BE SAVAGE LMAO
JohnnyThe AwesomenessSauceda I thought he/she said DO THE MAN BASS DRUM!!!
Dude, about four years ago a color guard threw up a rifle, and it landed on a trombone played and it broke all his teeth.
+Burdurk Damn
+Matthew Matousek yeah i was thinking the same thing at first lol
+Matthew Matousek yesss lol
While watching a performance at MFA Grand Nationals I saw a judge get hit in the head by a trombone slide. The look on his face was priceless!

I assume they were ham and cheese flavored? Or pepperoni flagored?
You've gotta give him props. He kept on going through it.
pants?!?!!?!? everyone here in tx use "jumpers" or overall thingies
They couldn't provide any bibbers in his size.
Ian Fullen yeah! thats another word for em. i think thats the actual word.
Yea that's what I wear overall thingies
not in this area of tx lol..
same
THEY'RE NOT OVERALLS, THEY'RE BIBBERS, PEOPLE
Sarah Alvarado me and my friends call them Banderalls 😂😂
someone FINALLY gets it!!!
no they’re overalls
poom actually the technical name for them is bibbers.
Overalls, coveralls, bibbers, banderalls, whatever. I sometimes call em "my long shoulder pants".
When I was in high school marching band, we had two uniforms. One for the school year which was pants (not bibbers) and in the summer for competition we wore kilts. Part of our uniform for both styles were suspenders to keep them from falling, but it wasn't uncommon to have a clasp or two fail in a show.

FarfalleAlfredo kilts
I call that karma
XDDDDDD

😂😂😂 , one time I we had a kind of dress uniform and we had to wear strapless Bras and when I was marching my bra started sliding down and slide all the way down to my stomach and I knew the show must go on but I was trying to pull my bra back up while marching. Ended up marching that show with my bra on my stomach. Luckily the uniform was not see through so you couldnt tell that my bra was on my stomach 😂
Lol
bruh i remember last year we had sleeveless uniforms, and in the first song my bra strap slipped down and i had to perform the whole show like that 🙂
This entire performance is kinda cringey honestly
Well it is a small band so what do you expect? A big flashy show like bigger band do?
Ice Wing the Fox you can be small and still make impressive shows
Nestor Pelayo I guess. Down here in Orlando there's some really good ones
Nestor Pelayo my school is small compared to others around us but we're still better than majority of them
I come from a band with a 15 piece brass line that smashed hella competitions. Hell we constantly competed in 4a/5a in local competitions consistantly well. That band looks a good bit bigger than mine was and it definitely just not in shape.

That was the year my band director decided to get overalls for our uniforms instead of pants.
+Marcel Octavious 😂😂
at my school, the band wears shorts underneath their bibbers
I'm in colorguard and my pants ripped during our state prelims performance. They basically shredded. So half the audience saw my butt.
Impossiblegirl98?? Is that you
That stinks! I bet your section mates got a good laugh out of that one.
+Addie Hazen That's why our band director tells us to always wear black basketball shorts under our uniforms.
Ryuzaki In guard, you can't wear anything under.
You can't wear anything under??? so you have to go commando in order to perform as colorguard?? Not in my school lolll
How are they so off step
Left right left right left right LEFT RIGHT!
LEFT LEFT LEFT MY WIFE WITH 49 CHILDREN IN STARVING CONDITIONS WITHOUT ANY GINGERBREAD DID I DO RIGHT RIGHT LEFT
THE DRUM MAJOR IS RIGHT FUCKING IN FRONT OF YOU - My angry band director 2k16
LEFT IS WHEN YOUR FOOT HITS THE DAMN GROUND, LEFT IS WHEN YOU HEAR THIS SOUND, LEFT IS NOT... RIGHT! LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT... I honestly hate hearing that so much at practice it kills me
WHO DO YOU THINK WE ARE? THE CADETS? WERE A NORMAL BAND AND NORMAL BANDS GO LEFT LEFT LEFT
ah bibbers, so your pants won't fall when you are marching (bibbers are like jumpers)
That's kinda cool to see the people in the crowd showing some respect to that bass drummer.
I play bass
My band director would murder us if we stopped moving
+NotSoSecretSpy SAME
Lol mine too
NotSoSecretSpy
Mine would just glare intensely at us
NotSoSecretSpy What if you were supposed to stop??
That was the end of the movement
I see all these comments on how horrible this is but the thing is is the video is 3 minutes long so we don't know how far they are in the season and we only see a few seconds of the second movement so they are probably a week or 2 into football season and still working it out all bands first and second football games have kinks awesome BD for keeping going and for Jesus Mary and Joseph THEY ARE CALLED BIBERS NOT FRICK ING JUMPERS OR OVERALLS BIBERS B I B E R S ty
omg yes not overalls and preach it !
Bibbers are the bomb. Until a strap falls off your shoulder...
ConquerorReborn ughhh, that keeps happening to me and I hate it
Mike Krystyan it doesn't matter if the season just started. If that's how a band starts their season, it's going to awful. If the show is still not good enough, it shouldn't be put on the field for an audience
My band is better then this and they just finished they're two weeks of band camp, most of the days practice was cancled becuase of smoke in the air.
I am in marching and if something happens while you are on the field, you must not move from your position for it will make the band look bad. That is what my director always taught us, and it has always been that way for many band directors across the nation.
That one lady that yelled "Dedication!" xD
Band is a sport for smart people
Thank You! It is!
👍🏾
jAdamariE broad statement, since it isn't a sport. It is like saying football is math for dumb people. Also literally a majority of the band at my school are insanely dumb
Friday Night's Out uh it's a sport
Creativelyinsane nope
his pants fell down and he recovered, the smart thing to do
I can relate to this I got hit in the head by a trombone slide I swear it's always the trombones and I was laughing a little cuz my hat fell lol but I kept going. And one time I pulled something in my shoulder when I was marching I got hair in my face and mouth piece it was funny but you gotta keep going on. Highfives to this guy!!
The fact that his pants even fell ON BEAT just goes to show what a professional this guy is

this is basically my nightmare. absolute props to that guy for not losing his cool!

Rest in Valve oil mate
Okay but at least they tried, for the people who talk shit about them just leave them alone, that's took guts to keep moving
That's the reason why I either wore running shorts or sweats under my band uniform in case of my pants drop during a field band performance
!😨😱😵
Or your bibs rip. That's happened a few times.
imagine wearing shorts and they fall down
Does your band not use bibbers?
When i was in band, we went to one competition and our lead trumpet fell while marching diagonally backwards, proceeded to catch himself with one arm, push himself back up into marching position, and stayed perfectly in time with the rest of the band. Wholesome
well he earned my respected. the number one rule always keep marching
I love how the lady in the background yelled "You're the man bass drum!"
I am surprise he was still be brave enough to Countinue performing without even been distracted from the Crowd ^^
Pumkin 101 in band you have to. You can not stop marching if your supposed to be lol
“ dedication” “ you’re the man”. Awe man that was hilarious 😂😭🤦🏾♀️
Im in band and this is my first year in marching lol now im scared to death of that happening to me or a friend on the field
Haha. Well I have been in marching band for three years now and nothing has ever happened like this. Lol trust me you'll be fine! :D
Lol thx
I've been in Marching band 5 years, and I can tell you that if anything happens, just carry on. I don't care if you fall, drop your mouthpiece, lose a shoe or whatever, keep marching. If a judge gets in your way, you're allowed to run them over. :D

Good for him, if it were me, I would've probably flipped out and just stand there.. Lol

"You the man bass drum" 😂😂😂😂 as a fellow band kid much respect
all bands are suppose to wear suspenders to avoid that.
Well then may I introduce you to the Georgia Bridgemen... ;)
Sometimes suspenders come loose, or just flat out break
Love this video! Laughed soooo hard! This just made my day a lot better :)
All I could see is how out of step everyone was
dut dut dut dut LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT dang that was DRILLED into me at camp
I had marching band rehearsal one windy day and we all had to wear caps to shield from the sun. Mine went flying off at the beginning of the run but I kept going and luckily, the hat wasn’t squashed by the benches ☺️
YOU'RE THE MAN BASS DRUM!! -Some guy in the stands
Nice to see you back.
I remember that one youtube chat thing I saw you in...
Good times.
Well when they say "keep marching no matter what happens" they mean it lol I would've stopped the whole band lol 'RESPECT'
I remember this! Thank you for uploading it!
proud of the bass drum
Last week at our football game, my brother got to the game with my mom at the end of the halftime show. My brother had been at a superhero dance at his nerd school, so he shows up in his Deadpool costume and starts doing the Floss. So I look up within the last 5 sets of the show to see my dancing Deadpool brother and I just start laughing. I think I messed up on some stuff, but it was so funny.😂
YOU THE MAN BASS DRUM 😂😂😂
“You the man,bass drum!”
THAT MADE MY DAYYY IDK WHY IT’S JUST HILARIOUS
This is why we wear bibbers
"you the man bass drum" whoever shouted that in the recording is a legend
i think its kinda fucked up to upload this and ruin that kids self esteem. i mean fuck, if this happened to me it would be the absolute WORST but then if i found out that someone uploaded to youtube and it got a lot of views that wouldnt help the situation at all. this is really mean of you to upload.. really
Its not like you can tell who it is
Tree Creation but the video wasn't uploaded with mean intent, they only gave props for how professionally this person handled the situation
hard to believe a person called *nigga lol* would say meaningful compassionate shit like this
nigga lol he was wearing other pants underneath, was not he?
Man shut up you liberal modernist.
similar thing happened my junior year at band camp. A guy on the drumline who played tenors accidentally got one of his belt loops caught in his harness when he put the drum on and then his pants got ripped off from the beginning. thus, he did the first part of the show with no pants on.
Oh god PleaseTune -.-
Many times cameras and microphones don't catch the full sound, causing some major balance issues. Whenever we listen to recordings of our band and watch videos, it sounds horrible, but somehow we placed second at regionals.
As they say, “the show must go on”! I’ve got MAD respect for dude, he just kept going like it was nothing, a true professional!!!!
brave dude brave
lol I like how the person up there like a teacher goes to the kid & talks to him about it
Y do people have to b so mean?
omg that was so professional. You juat gotta commit. I applaud you bass drum dude 👏👏👏.you did amazing.
Bibber time
One time during a run through of our show, the soul of one of the trumpet player’s shoe fell off, and he just kept on marching like nothing ever happened.
That band honestly wasn't that good...
DizzyGEICO stfu
"DEDICATION! YOU THE MAN BASS DRUM!" 😂
is not funny at all it was an accident
I know right the crowd shouldn't even being laughing at him lucky he was brave enough to Countinue performing
This reminds me about a fail that happened to me about a month ago when I had to unhook my neck strap inorder to do a wave. After I clipped it back on, it failed 5 seconds later. I nearly dropped my tenor sax, and I had to play it without the strap for the rest of the show.
The thing that my band learned is if something drops from you, don't stop and get it, just keep going.
LMAO I didn't notice his pants fall down until you mentioned it xD
Aside from the mishap, this is such a huge improvement in this band's sound. They're doing great!
"I'm done playing this book!" 😆 That's what I heard in my head at least.
That man has honestly earned my respect, that took dedication and guts.
Great story for his grandkids some day!
Bass drum kid 50 years later: "kids, did pop pop ever tell you the story about the time I dropped trou during a band competition?"
Kids: "oh god, here we go again..."
for those wondering, the song they were playing is called The Peanut Vendor.
The name was Fiesta Fantastico :) worst season we had but at this competition we were all really proud of that man!! He preformed very well :) Love you Cullen :)
Seeing things like this really make me feel blessed to be in the band I was for four years
Just a thought: Depending on the type of uniform pants, they may have been held up with suspenders that simply broke. Our high school band uniform pants weren't the "bibber" variety but were held up by suspenders.
My friend marched half our show with one shoe once because he got flat-tired. He never even looked back until we stopped.
Once, after school during marching rehearsal, I was doing a counter march and bumped into a French horn player.I didn't realize my lip was busted and kept marching. After my director told us to gather up, everyone was looking and saying my lip was bleeding.
It's still bruised.
At the end, I thought his underwear was going to fall as well😂😂
And this is why band kids deserve lots of respect! 😁
I graduated in 2013 and the only thing I miss from High School was being in band. 😭
#Marchingbandproblems
I swear the other day when i was marching at a game a spider was crawling up me and made a spider web i wanted to scream but i couldnt😭😂
