As a Cincinnati Bengals fan, I wouldn’t blame Joe Burrow or Jamar Chase for leaving the Bengals for the same exact reason as LeBron leaving Cleveland: organizational malpractice. The fact that Cleveland failed to surround LeBron with a winning team is obvious, just like the cheap Bengals ownership.
People ignore the fact that the Cavaliers front office failed LeBron by not surrounding him with the right players to make a title run. I will also say LeBron was also too good for the front office to come to terms with the fact that LeBron can't take a ragtag team of players to the finals after he did it in 2007.
LeBron's decision was messy, but it marked a turning point in sports history. From villain to hero, his journey showed us the power of redemption and athlete driven narratives. Truly the King.

This man been getting hate even before entering the league.
00s onwards has a uprise in media outreach, previously it's just the newspaper and then TV is more common and every household is able to watch games more regularly than the past + VHS/recording etc. Then comes the internet era where people can watch games anywhere from their phone.
All are pros however it also means everyone have more ACCESS/CHANNEL to speak about it and what's the best way to bring in "clicks"? Negativity. And on who? The most talked about player in the sport.. How many channels/platforms has built a career solely out of HATING on this man? 99% of the time it's plain dumb and blind hate and it brings in CLICKS.
Media: LBJ just put up 40/10/10 in the playoff = "meh" "yeah so what?" "stat padder" "MJ better" "ballhog" "no bag" "rely on athleticism" "career won't last" "why media keeps glazing LBJ"
Media: LBJ is X (insert something negative) = EVERYONE TAKES THE BITE
Now you got even MEME pages on social media rage baiting non-stop, just to hate on this man.. for? CLICKS.

Hindsight that's the coldest moment to me, man the villain vibe is CRAAAZY looking back
Bron games @ CLE was must watch games, people just love to hate on him because it puts food on the table aka clicks/engagement/attention
If the "locking himself in for 2 weeks" thing were applied to MJ/Kobe, they'll be calling it "killer mentality"
The older I get, the more I honestly think he's the GOAT
Fun fact. Donovan Mitchell himself was in attendance during The Decision. Albeit just a kid back then.
.... Just wait for the Diddy files
All because he left Cavaliers for the Heat in mid 2010
As a Cincinnati Bengals fan, I wouldn’t blame Joe Burrow or Jamar Chase for leaving the Bengals for the same exact reason as LeBron leaving Cleveland: organizational malpractice. The fact that Cleveland failed to surround LeBron with a winning team is obvious, just like the cheap Bengals ownership.
7 years on one team is crazy most players in todays time don’t even play for more than 10
People ignore the fact that the Cavaliers front office failed LeBron by not surrounding him with the right players to make a title run.
Hindsight the villain arc @ Heat was coldddddddddddddddddddddd as f,
if it was Kobe/MJ people would be saying that's "Killer Mentality" and glazing them for taking one's career into his own hands.
this man keeps forming superteams and is routinely calling himself the GOAt when he isn't lol...
"forming Superteams" yeah, if you have LeBron on your team it's automatically a Superteam, that's how good LeBron is.
@blentoot2382 no.....having 2 of the top 3(wade, lebron and kobe) players in the game and arguably a top 5 player in the league is the reason it was a super team

I mean you cant blame Lebron, Cleveland cant build a good support and team around Lebron.
Lebron tried his best to carry the cavs team, even the Finals.
Don’t worry. Diddy loves Lebron so much .
💀
It's been 14 years ago to this day that LeBron played his first game in Cleveland since "The Decision". Oh boy how time flies.
he is still the most hated man in sports
This was so overblown and outrageous I’ll never understand it
Let me explain why LeBron was so hated. He is the first to form a player made superteam. Never in NBA 3 players in their prime drafted in the same draft class went to 1 team. That was unheard of. Especially when LeBron chocked in game 4-5 v Boston in 2010. We viewed it as the cowardly way to get a ring
@@tmac731 fr
The reason why he was so hated for it was because he was the first to do it, especially in the way he did it. Him and 2 other top players in the league were willing teaming up by signing to the same team and made a spectacle of it by first, shooting an hour long interview to announce his decision and second, throwing a celebration declaring how easy it’s going to be.
The real answer is that losers focus on winners, whilst winners focus on winning

Lowkey It was good for Lebron to leave the Cavaliers. At that time bro had to carry the team on his back multiple times carried them to a NBA Finals Appearance in 07', and Cavs fans was ungrateful as hell when he left. 11 years later bro did the same thing in 17-18 season, and got swept by a powerhouse west team like in 07'. That time when he left Cavs fans were grateful because of the 2016 Finals. Lowkey without Lebron the Cavs would have no championship appearances or championship wins, and they would still be a poverty franchise not forever, but way longer.

I wouldn’t say forever because this cavs team now is looking scary ngl
