I'm from Lithuania. I followed them while they were playing here. What can I say. If they would have came here to play and not to turn everything into a circus (half of the games they played were organised by Lamar and they were playing basically against school teams) they could have learned a lot playing in a professional league against a grown up men. Lithuanian league is not the steongest in Europe, but half of the teams could compete with G league teams. So potential to learn was there, but instead they made a show putting basketball aside.
Talking about LiAngelo... Then watching him play in Lithuania I was saying he is not an NBA material, but he could be a decent player in Lithuanian league. Not sure about Euroleague. But even in Lithuanian league you can earn much more than in G League.

He probably should've just played in the UK. He'd probably be making $250k/year or so now, which sounds like nothing compared to NBA money, but he'd have solid employment, development, and will have earned a few million by this point. Even if he never made it to the NBA, it'd be hard to argue that he completely screwed up his life with his career choices, as was done. It's hard to make money playing ball, especially if you're not playing ball... If he became the face of the British league, like Marbury in China, would anyone say he screwed himself? No... he will have had a career and endorsements with plenty of money, fame, and a nice legacy. Who cares if it's literally in the NBA or not?
