    All these players are good, but Maya Moore was just special, there is a reason she was player of the year 3 out of her 4 years in college, and once she got to the Wnba, she showed why she was not to be messed with, we all know she retired to do her criminal justice stuff, but she was special.

      Oh, come on now she was the on a part of a uconn team that was going to win multiple championships whether she was there or not at that time in women’s college basketball. • @53toddk
      @53toddk 18 дней назад

      @@Ladnar_von_Boshaft Following Title IX, there are now just as many women as men playing NCAA basketball. The NBA draft has 30 teams each given 2 draft picks = 60 players drafted. The WNBA has 12 teams each getting 2 picks = 24 players. So it is harder for women college players to get drafted, and the talent gap between the top 6 women and the next 18 chosen is large... the 10th pick of the WNBA draft is not of great value when compared to the 10th pick in the NBA draft. Even so, not all of the first 12 women picked make the roster of the team that chose them, and on average only about half of the next 12 do. Also...In general, NBA men's bodies are still maturing/gaining muscle mass at age 20, whereas WNBA women's bodies usually don't change much from age 20 to 28.

      @richscott2483 3 месяца назад +2

      A'ja Wilson is a good blocker, but she does get the ball 4 times more often than any of her Aces teammates making her team leader in scoring. Wilson is a ball hog! She shoots at least 25 balls per game includes 3 point attempts which she getting between 25 to 30 points per game. If Caitlin Clark rarely passes the ball aka Assists and take the shot herself, CC would get 30 to 40 points per game. After all, CC holds the NCAA Women's Basketball record of more than 3,000 points. Not the NCCA Men's because she is not a man, only the women's records.
      Again, in the WNBA ..yeah remarkable to get 1,000 points for the season. More games played now than 10 years ago, so took longer to break 1,000 and 10 years ago if they played 40 games then someone else would have had 1,000 points already and not A'ja. If it were CC, easily would get 1,100 points if she was a ball hog.

    Was secondhand into the W as a kid in the 00s since it was on Sportscenter. I am so glad it was on so I could see Candice Parker throw down like she did. Her game was insane to watch and made me, a white dude who joked about the league, love women's hoops.

    If the entire WNBA played like their top picks, it’d be a lot more popular. A lot of these #1 picks have legit spectacular moves. Revenue must be anemic if even the Huskies are playing to “crowds” of 70 people.

Candace Parker has is done things that Katlin Clark can never and will never do n Clark couldn’t win MVP and rookie year the same year. It occurs to me that the difference in ability in women's college basketball between Division 1, Division 2, and the NAIA might be slight. I wonder if the WNBA takes notice of the latter two.

      No, there is a large gulf between the NCAA D1 (especially the top 5 conferences - Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12, and Big East) vs D2, D3, and NAIA. The vast majority of US-born WNBA players played college basketball in one (or more) of those 5 conferences.

    Well i kinda know now why the womens ballers sort of have that animosity on questioning and hating (?) on Caitlin.
    Seeing the numbers and performances each drafts has came out with, its really lookin' like Caitlin Clark has a lot to prove to justify the accolades she been having.
    Fact of the matter tho, is that WNBA was not in most basketball fans consciousness until this past 3 to 4 years until Caitlin Clark showed up and made a humongous buzz in the NCAA and basketball world in general.
    I myself is not remotely interested in this league and is only now watchin' videos like this coz i got interested how Caitlin fares against the rest of the competition.
    Now i am amazed of these girls achievements, so i tried *hard* to watch some relevant games but like before they were really something id wish id not wish to watch full - its that bad. So looking now how the game is played, and how masterful Caitlin orchestrates her team, id say she aint have much to worry. Shed be steam rollin in no time and i think the future will be brighter for WNBA in the future as a whole.
    NGL, that paycut they've been dreaming, may be happening soon.
