im glad lamelo took control of his career early and decided to return to high school in the states witih a top notch team instead of staying in lithuania for two more years which wouldnt have had the same effect as australia and spire. had he not gone back to the states for his senior year he would have never met his trainer JJ who clearly knows what the league is looking for with the way he trained melo and gelo to get into nba shape and adjust their game to fit the NBA
I think Lithuania is on par with Australia if not better, but I think the players in lithuania didin't respect lamelo guts or something, great league but a different mindset than in usa i think
@@gabrielrosales4344 That's true but I peeped Melo mature A LOT after that season at Spire. Off the court and on the court, he also grew like two inches too lmao. He was in the Drew League and at those Rico Hines runs going crazy.

Yea when you’re a young man with grown men trying to tell you that you aren’t top talent, and then become rookie of the year of the NBA? I think he had a good sense they didn’t take him seriously but more him using them to develop agains grown men
I think that experience humbled Melo a bit which also shaped his mentality moving forwrd. We can always say this exp didnt mean much since he already blossoming in the nba but ya know what they say. You are what you are because of what you have experienced in the past. So i do believe this had an impact with his mentality which shaped him to become better

People was saying he didn't do enough to show his commitment to basketball and making it to the highest levels. Took an AAU team with his sons to beat all those teams they played against in their pro debut.
@@AB-qg3ms you are right, but defence is included in Europe ,not like in NBA. I guess that's the main difference. Partizan will play against Golden State Warriors soon, we will see who will win.
Melo had the strangest route to the nba , if lavar was as smart as he thinks he is, melo would have followed rules and went straight from high school, or to a college... it still makes no sense to me how he wasnt really good enough , so much that his dad had create own league, and then send him to lithuania, then to australia.. suddenly he a #3 pick ? i still say he only made it cause of either his brother, or because his dad was such a media clown.. that people would tune in to see the circus
