      My dad same way.
Hes my dad, been same guy my whole life.
I had 32 as a soph, friends were congratulating me, high fives all game, after game on way home, my dad said, that was worse team in state, u won't do that next game.
I played best game ever, only 9 points, but great game. My dad , did that, he didn't let my head get in front of my feet.
It hurt my feelings, but made me have to prove him wrong, and he knew exactly what he was doing.
My coach, by my senior year, was asking my dad, about teams, he knew my dad, loved watching games, scouting, mainly to prepare me..turned into him, doing that for whole team. He never missed a game of mine. Home are away. I could feel him in gym and would know were to look to find him.
One game, my friend, in middle of game, when I went out, comes down to bench, says your dad, said yall need to press, that big team is slow, and they get shook when pressure is applied. When coach went to put me back in.
I told him, what dad said, not in front of others.
He didn't do it. Until we went down 10 at half.
      Then before 2nd half.
He said, well were gonna press, and we had 5 guards in game.
      We blew them out.
Made my old man look like Bobby knight around that gym. Lost 6 games in 9 yrs of youth league.
Always my dad was head coach. So he was sharp.
Paid out own pocket for extra practice nights.
      Still to this day.
Hes not missed a Kentucky game. In my whole life.
      I'm 54..
He will miss weddings over the cats.

Lonzo listened to the haters and sold his soul to Nike while scarring his relationship with his dad forever.
The worst part is that Lavar was exactly right. Zo has developed an identity as the starting PG for a #1 seed in a previously unexplored market for BBB while Melo is developing into a young star on the East Coast, another huge market.
BBB would've been growing at a huge rate right now.

    • @Anatolij86

There's the possibility that with all the pressure and frustration being involved with a disfunctional company, they wouldn't have reached the level they're playing at right now. Just look at Lonzo's time in LA when he was with BBB vs afterwards for evidence
