- I don't think it needs any more proof of being the ultimate sleeper if it can keep up with a BMW M2?! Absolute madness!
The 2016 Cooper S has a stage 1 remap, producing approximately 260 BHP, and just under 300 FT/LB torque!

Just purchased a Mini Cooper S and couldn’t believe how much power they have, especially in sport mode, unbelievable
drove a standard f56 once and it blew my mind just how much performance they have, even from a 3 cylinder. Throttle pedal is so sensitive haha luckily there’s the green mode for relax cruising
Depends what you’re used to driving. Had a ttrs and my wife has a touareg 3.0 tdi for the family and the cooper feels like a slight mix of both. Love the mechanical feeling of the gearstick, very reminiscent of my ttrs but it’s got about the same pull as the touareg which isn’t exactly a rocket ship. With a remap I’m sure it would rip but stock I’d say it’s the perfect power for a daily use and to have a bit of fun on tighter roads.
Just being stock F56, rolls at 40 mph in 2nd, I beat 350hp AWD Focus RS. Same 40 in 2nd beat a Type R… It is really underestimated just the Cooper S is. Imagine a GP3… keeping up with hellcats…
Coil overs are a great upgrade for any Mini. Really smoothies out the turning and bumps.
Just got one of these a week ago, loving it up to now and its stock atm but looking to go stage 1 and stage 2 in the future to hopefully push it over the 300hp mark!! The mini in this video is sick! My stock mini feels fast can’t imagine how much quicker it must feel with an extra 60hp and 100nm+!! Insane, great video mate👍
Biked I got the manual mate! Had to, got a friend with the auto and didn’t really enjoy it mate! I came from a DSG car to the manual mini and gotta say i don’t think I’ll ever go back! The manual box on the mini is amazing as well nice and smooth.
Biked best company car you could ever ask for!! Yeh I suppose if it’s going to be a company car and you’re in traffic a lot then I don’t blame you one bit for getting the auto mate, still as fun as anything! Great cars you won’t regret getting one.

These don't run those numbers from factory. They are underrated for insurance purposes. They actually run 215/240 from factory.

Got an f54 clubman Cooper s with stage 2 277 bhp. Big issue is traction... in sport mode as soon as you touch accelerator wheels spin!!🤣

I have a 2019 Cooper S and it makes me sad that the Sport Mode display no longer displays the car with a rocket ship. It only has the car standing between two apex lines.
Need to race this against your mk4. Similar torque similar weight so want to see what difference 30bhp makes

what kind of remap was it? from where? just got a 2015 S and havent a clue on where to get quality reliable maping
i have an AMD tuning remapped r58 cooper s with a k and n panel filter. dyno says 232bhp and 289 ft/lbs torque. all on the sport button :) ive had many fast cars but this considering basic tune is a LOT of fun. id like a jcw or any other mod exhaust to get better pops but yeah, recommended. anyone out there with a turbo mini in th UK take it to AMD in Eseex, or Lohen up north they are good too

They don't fit them with runflats from factory anymore. Most are supplied with a tirefit kit in the boot
possibly quicker to pull away in 2nd too with a mapped mini ;)

Seriously i do actually like the Clio 197/200 Cup body shape,but then there's the whole window wipers that go the opposite way from what we're used to,to contend with!!! 😮

Iv had a 2012 Cooper since 2016, absolutely love the way it drives, especially on thr twisties! Not powerful, but as you know, the handling!

Did You replace your timing belt and water pump in GTI ??? if yes then , did u replace also this chain that keeps 2 camshafts ? i know that u can recoqnize the sound of "used" chain but just asking :) (sry 4 my bad english im from poland and im also fresh owner '1week' of mk4 gti 2002 year aum engine :D )

Speaking to anyone who reads this who has a modded car. I am about to stage 2 my R56 mini and am curious what sort of resale value you get after doing all the mods - ever it's all done professionally by big tuning companies like Avon Tuning. Is it really hard to sell a well modded car and is the car by default under market price if it's modded?
Pretty much any mods will gain you $0 in value (this is true for sports cars or Jeeps). Stock tends to get you the best bang for the buck when it comes to resale. If you have the time/room; build the car how you want it; then if you sell it, return it to stock, and sell the parts separate. Little bit more work, but you'll get the most amount of cash in your pocket that way.

Best thing you can do for this car is put some decent tyres on it, stock run flats are trash to say the least. I have some Michelin PS4's on my JCW and it now matches the cars grunt. Time for a remap but tbh it doesn't need it at all, however the gains are to easy to pass up. Plus I have the JCW Pro exhaust which is just naughty.

@@fuhjrvr7474 about £140 each fitted. I've done about 18k miles in them and rotated them front to back. Got another 10k left in them, I drive moderately now, first 10k was done medium. My points tally has made it so. If you drive hard you'd get 20k fully rotated. I'd say they're hard wearing. The car is relatively light which helps

The B48 engine is NOT the one used in the New Supra, that's the B58. The B48 is a 4 cylinder 2.0l, the B58 that is also used in the BMW M140i is a 6 cylinder 3.0l.
And fun fact, the 3 cyl B38 in the One and Cooper is similar to the ones in the i8.
The engines are built on a modular system. Between them they share 60% of parts
The 2.0 L Supra has the B48

The Supra doesn't have a B48 engine, it has the B58 which is a straight six turbo, which is a different level of power to the mini altogether.
The Supra has different tiers of engines, the B48 is one of the engines that you can order at Toyota/BMW

Manual. He said it wrong. It has auto blip. Meaning it rev match automatically when you downshift.

yes, the 4 cylinder supra engine is identical
This engine is also used for the BMW g20 330i. It has amazing potential

Peter Joossen hi, I am still yet to remap it but I bought a JB+ power module for £185 and it’s completely transformed the car it now has around 230/240hp and 350/360nm, it has made a massive difference and it takes about 2 minutes to install, can’t go wrong for £185 I’d definitely recommend one. I am using this until my warranty runs out which is in a few month. Then I will be decatting, intercooler and stage 2 remap.
I’d definitely recommend a JB+ for your car if you’re wanting to keep your warranty for a while.

Cycling Performance that’s awesome mate!! I got mine remapped 2 weeks ago, 285.9hp and 433nm it’s absolutely insane, it’s currently in getting an uprated clutch and a decat!! Can’t wait to have it back.

Haha, 6th gear pulls like 3rd did in standard form it’s insane, I have 205/45/17 currently looking to upgrade to 215/225 I just think 205 are a bit to thin I spin up to much 0-40 I have Pirelli Pzero on as well I think they’re awesome tyres, I had Goodyear eagle F1 before they where awful! I’d defo recommend some Pzeros. I bet you’re loving it huh, they’re amazing rolling in 3rd onwards ain’t they!! Amazing cars.
