Midlands we install baxi/main predominantly unless its customers preference.
The metal plate in the burner can be springy if the weld goes on the back left hand side (visible when you take the fan off), see if you can push it down as it shouldn’t move at all.. that can cause noise alot of the time.

Just a little tip, wire wool should never be used inside the boiler as it sheds material and can find its way into areas that will cause damage, it can become magnetic, in clumps it can flash burn etc, any abrasive used inside a unit will cause debris, but wire wool is the worst, better to remove and clean away from the unit and thoroughly rinse or vacuum the debris away.

Ideal sump cracks, little extra efforts to open them. Aluminium Heat exchanger blocks if not serviced.
Vaillant pure same. Pro and plus are better but expensive. Easy to repair. Pcb F28 and diverer valves leaks.
Worcester. Most reliable boiler and quality components until breaks. , most difficult to daignose repair. Poorest design.
Baxi. Feels cheap but easy to repair. Not expensive. Easiest ti install all once u know the tricks. All pipes are flexible to angles. Telescope and Uv protected flue. Main eco compact half price and no quality compromise. Only down side is rubber flue seal.
