Baldy hacks....lol. Great part 2 and thanks for the video. Cheers Kevin
🤣
Good stuff William, well done...
Slowly, slowly - but not stopping!
Lovely lathe action. I do love working with brass, but hate the mess it creates. 👏👏👍😀
Brass gets bloody everywhere but it is quite satisfying. I think I need to get myself some properly cut tools for various materials, I always end up using the same bits and I'm sure that doesn't help.
Great video William and all the best from grey hacks.
Grey hacks lol :)
Great lathe work, this was fun to watch thanks. We use exactly the same method for cutting threads on a lathe, it is impressive to see people do it powered. We have a good selection of imperial taps/die, drill and reamers, drop us a note if you need to borrow something for times when you do not feel is is worth buying one
Oh that's very kind of you, thank you for the offer - I think in this case I want to prove to myself that I can adapt the design and everything else works OK - but I really do appreciate the offer!
I have occasionally cut threads with a tap on the lathe under power - in theory with brass it should be fine, but I only ever do it on a through hole. Into a blind hole seems like madness!
Mmmm baldy hacks !!!!!!!! Your gonna have Quinn after your ass Mate. Progress is going well
A kind gentlemen in one of my other videos called me that, I thought it was too good to not mention :)
Yep, the typical squawking sound of brass being cut...
SCREEEEEeeeeeeee :)
