- Great song written by Hoyt Axton and performed by Three Dog Night on The Family Channel's Spotlight on County back in the 1990's. Jimmy Greenspoon on keys, Michael Allsup on guitar and that's me with the big hair, bass notes and high harmony :)

Absolutely a band that should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is a disgrace that they are not in it.

This must have been just before he passed. He was my favorites of the 3. His voice was the most soulful.
This was actually ~22 years beforehand, he died in 2015 and this broadcast around 1993 I believe
This was in the 90's. He passed in I think 2014 or 2015. Filmed here in Myrtle Beach, at The Carolina Opry.
I met Cory, Danny and Michael in 1992 after one of their shows in Norfolk, VA. They were so much fun to talk with. They truly love their fans and were so polite friendly. We shared Three Dog Night stories and they signed autographs for everyone. RIP Cory, Jimmy and Joe Shermie; thanks for making such great music. We miss you. Michael and Danny are trying to keep it alive but no one will replace the voice of Cory Wells.

Indeed one of the best bands of the 60s and 70s and maybe of all time. Definitely of all time. How in the world are they not in the Hall of Fame.? Shame on the folks that make those decisions!

you guys really hammered it home..
A trifecta of voices like no other.
They headlined the first rock show I ever attended, and rocked Cobo Arena to its foundation.
In the 90's I saw them again, with America opening the show, also down to just two members.
Still great, but missing that third party in both bands WAS a big disappointment.
Danny should just call the band "One Dog Night", & be truthful about it.

I belonged to Three Dog Night’s fan club. Also to the Cory Well’s fan club. Cory was my very favorite. I just found out yesterday (Jun 23, 2021) that Jimmy Greenspoon passed away in 2015, only 67 years old. TDN music will live on long after we are all gone.
It would be nice to have the whole name of the song "Never Been to Spain" in the title so it shows up in search.

Just recently got a work a TDN show. Amazing vocals and great musician. I've been working concerts for 51yrs. Not really into pics, selfies or autographs but, I got into my collection of stage passes and my work resume. Between 1976-1978, I got to work with quite a few groups. TDN just happen to be 1 of the groups. I took my resume back to the show and asked them if they would autograph my resume. 1st things they did was under line 3 dog nite😅. They thought it was kool and had a blast signing it for me. Thanks guys I remember listening to your music in high school, then working for you in the 70's and 50 yrs later getting yours autograph.....life really does go full circle. Eventually if you wait ling enough lol....

They were phenomenal, as a vocal group. Musically, their style kept you from sitting still.
I know chuck negron had his demons to deal with but three dog night isn’t three dog night without chuck negron. He had the best voice of the three singers hands down. Remember chuck one day at a time, BECAUSE WHAT HAPPENED TO CHUCK COULD HAPPEN TO ANYBODY, How I know that is because it happened to me too. I’m so glad your still clean and sober rock on chuck.
I will refrain from saying what I really want to so I’ll just say to bad Chuck couldn’t get his shit together for years. More videos without him than with him

Well, unfortunately it didn’t turn out that we did it? Looking back now the years they were together were precious, in the years that they’ve been apart and now Cory is gone and so is Mr Greenspan no hope of Reuniting Mr. Negron to the rest of the band again, everyone just is going forward with their own projects and the essence of three dog night will live forever in our hearts and our minds and the songs that we sing that were theirs ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
