When I was a teenager I joined the Three Dog Night fan club and more important than that, I joined the Cory Wells fan club. Cory was my favorite. Rest in paradise Cory.❤❤❤❤❤
I met Cory, Michael and Danny after a show in Norfolk, Va in 1992. They were the coolest guys and showed how much they love their fans by coming back stage and just hanging out with us and sharing stories. With Cory, Jimmy and Joe Shermie gone, it will never be the same again. I saw them over 15 times. RIP guys. We miss you.
Agreed, but even though it will never be the same, I give kudos to Danny Hutton and his continued performances and loyalty to the band's memory and current members who help to perpetuate the great sound of Three Dog Night.
Mine, too. I was about a month shy of 7 when this came out (born June 10, 1963). My first memory of this song was walking on the campus of a college that was a stone's throw from my house. It was some kind of fraternity function. The guys were sitting on the roof of a dressing room for the college athletic facilities, and I very distinctly remember this playing. It was either on a record or tape. No MP3 players or cell phones back then, kids!
So glad that I finally listened carefully to the verses. Now I understand that the song is about going to wild parties. For years, I only listened to the choruses and I wrongly assumed that the song was about birth control.
Cory was the soul of this group. He took on Otis Redding's song "Try a Little Tenderness" with so much feeling. I preferred his take on it much better than Otis.

Weirdest comment on the internet! Cory Wells sang this one on the original record, just like here. Joe Schermie is dead. Chuck didn't sing this one. Jimmy invented the great keyboard parts he's playing here. Allsup played guitar on the record, just like here. Floyd was too arthritic to play drums at this point in his life. You need to chill. Or not. Whatever floats your boat.
One of the best singers in the world. And he was REALLY in great voice THIS particular night. Fantastic!

No other group like them. EXCELLENT musicians.
Cory bangs it out here. So soulful.

Great song
Sounded better than the original!!! Cory Wells was an amazing singer!!!
The coordination and teamwork needed to pull off that stage show all members and their instruments with their little bonus effects, great fun.
Cory still looking hot 💋💋💋
This shows that some older people can still sound great!!!!
love you Cory!
Corey is a Kool dude
One of my first memories of the early 70's.

Wish Chuck were there....the other 2 were great.
Where's Floyd Sneed? Great self taught drummer, a huge influence for me and my drumming..
sneed has not been with the band since a brief reppearance in the 1980's.
Maria José Cory🌹😭🎶😥👏🎼💔
Missing chuck...but he decided not to participate then😏
Lindo lindo!!!!👋👋👋😥💋❤️🌹

YOU LEFT OUT FLOYD SNEED !
Love Floyd dearly! One of the all-time great drummers and an amazing painter as well. He wasn't on this TV shoot, though. Wish he was :)
Great performance, great song, but Danny cannot replace Chuck,,'s vocals.
why the dark glasses?
Why do they all wear a wig?
They all didn't Cory did because he was in chemotherapy battling cancer 😪
@@kathyconlon6593Cory didn't have cancer yet in this video, this was in 1993 and he died in 2015. That's his real hair
This is not Three Dog Night. Stop ruining my memories and their great songs.
