Just a little trick: mine seized before I could get all of them on my parchment. I added a very small Pat of butter and a small splash of milk, beat without heat, and they came back beautifully!

Pinch of salt
Half stick Or 4 tablespoons butter
1 1⁄2 c pecans

My great grandmother used to make them using regular milk and sugar. 1 part milk 1 part sugar. Stir stir and stir
Sometime try this recipe with Buttermilk instead of canned milk, that is the true Southern Pralines recipe. My son went to Tulane U. in New Orleans and one of the local studens mother gave him some and he got her recipe. Butterrmilk cuts some of the over sweetness of it.

I love this recipe. You mentioned Texas. I live in San Antonio Texas. I also love the Vanilla from Mexico but I'm almost out. You mentioned a Flea Market. If you are near San Antonio please let me know where you go to a Flea market to buy the Vanilla. I really appreciate your great recipes.
We are in North Texas so we are about five hours away from you. I don’t know of any places that direction that sell it but I’m sure if you look at flea markets you could find it happy hunting ❤️

Yum!!! I love that you use a Revere Ware pan (I inherited my grandmother's Revere Ware), that you use Mexican vanilla (THE best stuff, IMHO, and more important to bring back from across the border than booze), and that you have a cute little dog in the kitchen. 🙂

These do look good! Here in Missouri, pecans are expensive so I could understand them charging $3.00 each. But I still wouldn't buy them for that price. I'd rather make my own! Great video

I just love these...it takes me back to my childhood over at my grandma Mary's in Alabama. She used to send the family "care packages" every year filled with all kinds of candies and cookies etc for Christmas.😋 Everyone couldn't wait to see that big box of goodies arrive.😁 Do we just store them in an airtight container at room temp?
