Demon1 is literally in the exact same position as TenZ last year: struggling with subpar team schemes & stuck on the wrong agents, while also dealing with his fiance having serious health issues. It's no wonder that he's struggling a bit, we've seen how much of a different player TenZ is this year, playing agents he's better suited for, not having to entry anymore & with Kye doing somewhat better nowadays. Hopefully they figure out the same with Demon1 at NRG, because I really like him & I still think he's a great player, despite his recent struggles.

demon1 should be on roles like smokes or sentinel, some what similar to alfajer/tenz, having demon1 die so early in the round just isnt suited for someone who can straight up out aim you. its why omen/kayo/gekko has been working out for TenZ, those roles dont necessarily die first or get first contact, so TenZ can easily be set up into a good position to use his raw aim to win
The thing is, with every iteration of the "optic core", ardiis and now demon1, chet seems to forget that victor is their duelist, the one who dominated fracture with neon was him, his raze always was top tier when yay was around, yay never was a pure duelist, neither ardiis or demon1, even when they had to put victor in jett (mostly on breeze comps) the man was hard carrying, even though he has 0 real match experience with the agent, the guy is just him, put him on duelist and let him cook
bro victor is an amazing duelist, shows when he plays kayo that he doesnt mind taking first contact and creating space for the team. i think all these "aimers" should drop the duelist role. and stick to support where they dont die first. and i agree when yay was playing, he wasnt really a "pure" duelist. examples of pure duelist players are like aspas/zekken/victor/jawgemo and so on players that KNOW how to create space, not just aim better.
PREACH, man!! I was so mad when they had Victor on Brim & Demon1 on Raze vs Leviatan. If NRG end up missing play-offs, I don't think I'm reaching when I say that that should be a fireable offense for Chet. It was just braindead.
Agreed. Pretty much the only time demon1 should play duelist is when it’s a Jett map.

The reason why 2023 EG never struggled with a Raze comp is because jawgemo was there to play Raze. The thing everyone seems to forget is that Victor is a great raze player (and duelist in general), it’s just that he’s a flex player. NRG should really stop trying to make Demon1 and Raze work, instead they should work on a double duelist comp with Victor and Demon1 on Raze maps. It would definitely help with their map pool, that’s for sure.
I think NRG should do what G2 did and put demon1 on sentinel or 2nd smokes and have victor on raze and if need be if they run no senti (like on split) you run demon1 on jett
They don't even need to play double duelist if they wanted to. Demon1 can play sentinels and controller as well. The fact that they forced him on Raze, they lose Demon1 flex capability. Demon1 is a very flexible players. Not as flexible as forsaken but he still can play multiple roles aside from Raze.

@@phish458Deryeon was a monster raze player during apac ascension playsoffs. The problem is they need to make yay play only chamber/jett. They be chillin and making playoffs atleast. Yay on those two agents has the most impact.
@@Anuradha-cc1hh That's the thing, Deryeon was a monster raze player in 'Ascension.' The sad thing about APAC is that, unlike EMEA and NA, the Ascension league is so far behind the VCT league. Teams that dominate Ascension look down right shit when playing against VCT teams. This was proven during the Predator event held in the Philippines. A lot of the top Ascension teams played there with only Team Secret as the VCT League team. And boy, Team Secret had a field day there. They were knifing, trolling, absolutely shitting on Ascension teams with minimal effort.
So Deryeon, in comparison to better Raze players in APAC (Jingg, Jremy, Buzz,) is pretty mediocre at best.
@@Anuradha-cc1hh Except Deryeon didn't play a single map on Raze during the entirety of Ascension 2023. Deryeon was actually primarily on Jett and sentinel, while Juicy was on Raze.

Ironic, because when you think of the best raze players in vct (e.g., Derke, Aspas, Zekken, Jawgemo, Jinggg, Zmjjkk) uses medium/high sensitivity so no wonder their raze plays are cracked.

This is just Yay all over again, the team cant accommodate for their weaknesses, and let their strength shine. Dive duelists don't need the best aim, they need to create space and stay alive. Of course having a great aimers in the position is great, but if they cant perform their role of taking space its pointless in the end.
Victor has always been able to play the entry role, even on optic. On their icebox/pearl no jett team comp, victor was entrying as kayo. On breeze, victor switched to jett so yay could play chamber. On fracture, victor played neon entry so that Yay could still be the oppressive awper. Bruh even on ascent when optic had a standard jett kayo kj omen and sova, victor still entried and made space as kayo. So with all this in mind, idk how nrg is struggling with this. My only guess is that teams have seen major success when a single player can frag out and entry properly on both raze and jett like aspas or zekken, so theyre trying to make demon1 into one of those players. However thats not necessary, since on EG demon1 would just swap with whoever was playing raze. Idk how nrg is struggling with this.
for bind, they can put Victor on raze, because he has played it multiple times and put up solid numbers. For demon1, put him on brim. he's also played brim and astra on pro play before, which could work if he doesnt like playing raze.

Demon1 and Yay are in the same dilemma regarding their role issues (Yay's case is different tho as he's washed and bleed's teamplay is ass). These 2 players strive off duelists who entry for their team by supporting them and getting frags along side the way on attack, and then absolutely dominate defense half by getting early picks or using the operator. Both yay and demon1 need to switch between agents like Jett or Chamber, sometimes including Yoru.
NRG tests my patience every week. Superteam my buttocks. Fantastic stuff Andy.

I dont understand why they have Vic on Brim and not Raze. Demon1 was already playing Brim back on EG
DEMON1 is going through the same personal situation as TENZ in 2023. DEMON1 did tell his chat she is getting a surgery this summer hopefully she get better. We could then judge his performance, I mean how would you do if you learn that your loved one has Osteopenia [bone desinity loss], you will for sure have impact on your performance. It sucks with the timing of all this as he did trashtalked a lot last and now stuck in this situation.

i feel like while demon1 can take some blame chet has really fallen behind on the coaching aspect (i’m not good at thr game just trying to analyze) like demon1 on raze when you have one of the best razes with vik and then back in playoffs for madrid letting sen play split when you’ve seen them play so much split. i think as they play together more it will flesh out and get more comfy i still think they can be a super team

Well Yeah we did show victor playing raze really well and let them win the second map Lotus against EG and demon1 was perfect with being a controller in that map well I guess it might be I am not sure but i think they were trying to see if demon1 will be good on raze or not if in maps where demon1 can't take on duelist they can just put victor to be duelist for then and demon1 with any controller or chember or they can also take that lineup with double duelist on split map they need to understand which map is better for demon1 to play comfortably

Demon 1 needs Boostio to tell him what to do
because they play him as a lone entry like Aspas or Derke when he is more suitable as a follow up duelist because of his low sens. In EG Jawgemo was sharing the entry duties with him, he had room to play slow ,less risky and suited more of his aiming style because of his low sens. Now in NRG he is playing raze essentially forcing him to play like Jawgemo... yeah their coach is stupid tbh.

Demon1 and yay are in the same boat. With their new teams not perfectly calibrated to set them up for kills they cant do that much. Optic was completely set around yay and same goes for EG with demon1
not really. demon1 cant fully focus since he is worried about katarina. and they have a good raze player but they tried to just set him up with raze. we really have only seen 2 losses so far so i cant really put them on the same boat. im pretty sure demon1 can bounce back when they either change him to brim and vic on raze for bind or he suddenly gets better at raze

NRG is a team that like to throw money at the problem and hope for the best.
Like they might have star studded roster but it seems they never stop and think for a minute on how they can utilize them effectively and efficiently. I think this is one instances where the management is at fault for player failings.

NRG have one of the best razes in NA and they arent putting him on raze, cuz they want their superstar demon1 who isnt a raze player to entry. It makes no sense, they just need to put victor on raze and they will win maps that use raze.

i think this nrg team will only get to their potential by champs or if they stay together then next year because ethan is not there yet as an igl and demon1's agent pool is just limited to jett, reyna and brim/astra, but the team has marved who is one of the best controllers and also jett is not as viable on many maps as raze is

demon1 should not be a duelist unless they need his operator. Victor should be the main duelist and demon1 should play 2nd entry who always gets ready to trade victor.
Demon1 is still class, no player in any FPS game has been consistently good from month to month each year, demon1 will make a comeback

been saying this from the beginning, take demon1 off raze. Jaw always use raze, viktor should raze instead of demon1. Demon1 is only good on Jett. Like literally, Viktor can play the explosive duelist like raze, neon, and yoru. Demon1 fits duelist like Jett, Iso, and Reyna. Regardless of what the internal discussion looks like, if they want to win, make sure their best player play their best agent.

Victor is literally a mostly Raze player. Let Victor play Raze & play Demon1 on his more viable agents (e.g. Jett, Brim or Chamber).

It’s not that Demon1 is washed, it’s that he was overrated. Demon1 was the best player only when he was with his old EG roster.
This doesn’t mean he is bad, he’s actually still one of the best players. However, people fail to realize how much a team’s play style effects certain players. This new NRG just doesn’t suit him.
If you need any proof of this, look at TenZ, Yay, etc. They excelled at a certain play style, until the meta shifted. Only TenZ was able to overcome this issue by swapping his role and having the entire Sentinels brand and a large fanbase to support him. Yay couldn’t adapt to any new teams because their style didn’t fit his (only with their subpar skills).
People need to look at MVPs as less than fraggers, but more as the most consistent players. Like when TenZ was considered the best in the world at the first Masters, it was Sick&Dapr who were the most consistent on the team. When Demon1 was the best on EG, it was Jawgemo who created opportunities for Demon1.
There is only one player shown to be an adept fragger across all metas and all eras of Valorant play, and that is Aspas.

First he needs to raise his sens, anything below 0.3 is just bad for this game especially if you’re duelist , and also he needs some movement in his playstyle keznit in his stream said demon1 has good aim but he’s easy to kill because of his movement while Aspas is a nightmare to shoot at.

There's one problem with bringing demon1 into the team. I just don't know why they put demon1 on Omen and raze as those are not the agents that made him good when he was in EG.
