@@VVSPRINCE what OP meant is, sen 2023 built a roster that was considered by many as a superteam, similar to nrg 2024, with 2 of the champions of the previous year, and a player (for sen it was tenz, for nrg's case 2 players which is victor and crashies) they built around. teams were expected to make an event atleast. but they had the same problems, their star player (demon1, and tenz) don't look as good as they were expected due to being expected to hard entry despite being a lot more comfortable on second entry, having multiple role issues (i mean demon1 on raze when victor's a good raze, sacy on smokes when pancada's one of the best smokes players of 2022), their main duelist (tenz, and demon1) looking absolutely washed and botfragging most games, losing to teams that they shouldn't have. along with that, problems with their coach (chet and sykko) both looking like absolute frauds despite having a good previous year, and igl issues (ethan and dephhh) with both having different problems but still, igl problems.

While I think the points made in this video were true, most of it is hindsight. Saying that we should've all been able to see it coming doesn't seem right. First of all, a secondary caller turned igl has been seen many times just this season. For example, DRX, Geng, and EDG all have had success this year when they changed igls. With a player like Ethan, who has a lot of experience, I don't think it's unreasonable to think he could've done the same, but alas he didn't. Second of all, in terms of role issues, I don't think it was very apparent either, as to the average valorant watcher the roles would be; Demon1 - Jett/Smokes Marved - controller Ethan - initiator Crashies - initiator/flex Victor - sentinel/Raze And they would heavily emphasize double initiator and viper + controller maps, and have Victor be the second entry like Boostio did for EG last year. The fact that NRG had role issues despite that, shows that there were deeper problems and teamwork issues going on that people on the outside looking in would not be aware of. Lastly, in terms of the "vibes" on the team, again, it's hard to know from the outside looking in, but the importance of a "vibe merchant" was not very talked about until Zellsis came in for sentinels this year. Even then, I'm not exactly sure who would be the vibe person on OPTIC, as FNS and yay don't seem like that type of person. It's all speculation which is why I don't necessarily agree with the sentiment that "we should've all been able to see it coming" and that "NRG was destined to fail". I would highly encourage presenting statistics to back up your points but good video nonetheless.
@@asdasdasd-cm4jg the problem with the team is that Ethan is an inexperienced IGL and has the sole responsibility of calling the shots.
