I took advantage of this moment in time to update from the Quest 2 to the Quest 3 and while I have yet to play Batman (which came with it) and that was clearly a really good decision. It is just so much better on every level: resolution, responsiveness, comfort, memory...
I’m going to hold off buying this until it’s patched. Once you discount all the 5 star reviews, (many of which list some nasty issues), it sounds like the usual Quest launch bucket of bugs. The Quest would be a much nicer platform if publishers would release games after development, not during.
Agreed, in my second playthrough with patch 1.0.1 bugs are still persistent. I tried to create a 3rd save, and I'm stuck in a level indefinitely as the vent won't come off blocking progress.
@@SoUtHMeMpHisnope. Modders can’t do that. Quest runs on Android. Steam runs on Windows. Entirely different systems and code. It would be like trying to mod a Nintendo Switch game to run on a Sony PS5
Where is your evidence that's not true? The developers repeatedly said they targeted Q3 series and would have be hard to lower that bar after the fact for Q2 without compromising the experience. Even on the Q3, there are still some frame drops that need to be optimized for.
@@rowee270 my evidence is that I'm playing it right now. Just got to the jail. Only hiccup I've had is audio stuttering as I walked through the prison. Been smooth as butter up until now. Bar 1 hard crash.
Quest 2 is a beast. I'm actually blown away by it's efforts. Well when assassin's creed came out the quest 2 version didn't stutter and the quest 3 version did. So what figures?
@@RussBlake80 while I agree after playing it I do think it could have ran on the quest 2 I had a much better experience with assassin Creed Nexxus on my quest 3 than I did on my Q 2. Honestly, I didn’t play too much on my two maybe about an hour but that’s because it was better on the 3. But after playing this really doesn’t seem more demanding than Assassin’s Creed or Asgard wrath2
That would be impossible to run on the Quest 2, the textures and the real time shadows are too much. Even a highly watered down version would probably run
This is just my quick impressions of the game, but I do want to make a thorough review. And, if harsh/honest criticism is your thing. I think my full review that I'm working on is a bit more critical and looks over the story elements.
To be fair, so are most AAA games released nowadays. The game developers realised years ago that they can save money by not testing the game too thoroughly before release, instead release the game when the major bugs have been fixed, then let the paying customers play the game and find the lesser bugs, then release fixes for the bugs. The gamers become unpaid beta-testers, basically.

Thanks for the review brother and discount code, I can't wait to play this!

NICE! Did you get the 512GB version with the recent price drop? In so many ways Quest 3 today is a much better product than it was at launch.
@@sixtacos Oh yes! Sure better than 64GB especially since I have a lot of games already.
So far the best game for quest. 9/10 just wish there was a skip button ✅ on harder segments.
It's easily the best game of 2024 and in the Top 10 of VR games
this game is too good
I think it could be better after some patches. But it is damn fun. Little bit of jank
Wait what? The game runs without a PC on the VR headset?

Can you play in 4k? And if you can do you use in-game settings?
There are no resolution settings apart from one for "dynamic resolution"
@@acurisur you can change the resolution and settings with quest game optimizer. but thats a paid app and you need a pc to get it.
Is there a Meta/Oculus Link PCVR version also?
No, it's exclusive to Quest 3/3S standalone. Hopefully, down in the future we could!

Shame they didnt sell it for the quest 2, madness why they didnt. It would have run perfectly. 😉

Where are the non sponsor reviews
Ngl 9/10
Combat is as good as the og arkham combat is
The prison scenes feel like a mix between the game series escapists and akham asylum
Lol, with all the reviews pouring out it probably looks like shilling.
Full of bugs.
It really isn't.

The game already got a patch since it came out that seems to have fixed the bugs
no update yet.
I haven’t encountered any bugs, and I’ve put probably 5 hours into it
no, not even close
Yea?
