Who is watching this now that we can connect the PSVR2 to our PCs soon?

As a PSVR2 owner, not being able to order controllers separately to replace broken ones should be the only reason not to buy it. Had it for a year, one of the controllers started having horrific drift and now doesn’t work. And guess what? They’re not sold separately. Do not buy the PSVR2 unless they start selling controllers separately.

If you don’t already own a PS5 the quest crushes the PSVR 2 and it’s not even close. If you do own a PS5 it’s close.

😂 Lots of comments of people trying to justify thier purchases.

Now at 350 the PSVR 2 smokes meta quest

  • @tomstow2002

I agree about Fresnel lenses being inferior to pancake lenses, but when comparing visuals, it's not just fidelity (and the effect of dynamic foveated rendering on fidelity), display tech is really important, and the PSVR2 uses OLED which creates an image with a much greater dynamic range and much greater black levels, and that makes a huge difference in a lot of games. (I own both headsets, but if a game is available on both headsets, I will always play it on PSVR2, games generally look prettier, and the haptics and adaptive triggers are an absolute game changer.)

  • @stylewan

I have sold my PSVR2 without hesitation.

  • @trustmeilllookitup8347

How do you give 4 checks to the quest and 3 checks to the PSVR and call it a draw? Video got me so lost I can’t find my bedroom

  • @iwantalot

All comes down to games for me and having both a quest 2 and psvr2 I can honestly say there is nothing on the standalone quest platform that can compete with the big AAA titles such as cotm, res village, Res 4, NMS, vertigo 2 , synapse, Arizona 2, kayak, and that's just 8 months . When quest games get ported over to psvr2 they are usually superior with lighting and shadows check out comparisons online for tales of galaxy, wanderer, moss, saints and sinners, zombieland, paradise hotel etc. Looking forward to the next year of psvr2 to see what other bangers Sony have planned.

I don’t own a psvr2 headset but I do own the meta quest 3 and psvr which I haven’t touched for two years, for me it’s about the meta quest 3 all day long, you can play the meta quest 3 literally anywhere whereas with the psvr2 it’s attached via a wire to your console, buying a psvr2 was not an option for me.

  • @danmarchuk3617

One thing to consider with stand alone is I use different places in my home to play or workout. When you're tethered, you're committed to one location regardless of your area needs. Also you can bring it anywhere and play. That's big for me.

  • @jameskyler5441

You can get 3rd party headstraps and controller adapters easily for $100 or less no need to spend $200. If you get a headstrap without battery you can get a very comfortable padded one for well under $50

I have both the thing i hate about the psvr2 is the tiny sweet spot with the lenses i feel like i have to constantly adjust the headset to get it in focus wheres the quest seems sharp constantly

  • @jayobhoy248

Thank you for the breakdown, however i dont understanding how you can give ease of use a draw when one unit can be played standalone wirelessly?

  • @803slimm7

    I have both.

  • @jdarg4163

I have both and I love both of them but I use my Quest 3 more for media consumption and fitness and I use the PSVR2 for VR games as it’s more immersive because of the headset rumble and adaptive triggers and the Quest 3 is much better as a multi media device as it does much much more than just playing VR games as there’s mixed reality games which are the future of entertainment the only problem with the Quest 3 is the ridiculous battery life

  • @boitmecklyn4995

I am tossing between Quest 3 and PSVR2 atm and I don't have any intent to dump my PCVR setup because there's heaps of games that just aren't on other platforms.

  • @simonoregan4744

The Quest 3 is my first ever headset. Want the PS2 for GT7. WIll buy both.

  • @PC_TV_73

OK I have the meta 2 and the psvr 2. The PSV 2 with eye tracking is crazy. I just ordered the meta 3 for same day delivery just now I’ll have it in 2 hours. I’ll see if it’s much better.

  • @parched7438

I had to get both yo. They both got killer games But ive been rocking more my quest 3 just because its wireless
