Wow, who knew!!! I love this video Dr. Whitten. Should I continue to do your shoulder exercises with the Rock tape? Also how often should you replace the Rock tape? Can you I shower with it on?
I'm so glad, Lisa! Absolutely, you can both exercise and shower with Rock Tape applied. The application should be changed out after 3-5 days. And, outside of the acute stage, I like to give the skin 12-24 hours to "breath" before reapplying.
WOW! Life changing video! Exactly what I've needed for a long time. Demo of the taping is excellent and this video is the first I've ever heard about the external circles! Thank you!!!
Hey Doctor. I live over in the UK. I’m a 67 Yr old male who since 2012 to 2023 has had surgery on both shoulders, 6 times in total over that period. Most of the surgery has been for partial or total tears of rotator cuff and a couple of bicep tears at the same time. You will probably have worked out that I have been working out correctly or incorrectly for many yrs . I would like your advice with regards to my most recent surgery in March of 2023 when I had number 3 surgery on my right shoulder to repair again a rotator cuff tear and this time also to place in there a Graft Jacket . I have, after 12 months on my final Appt with the surgeon, In May of this Yr, have been advised it’s As good as it is probably going to be , but wasn’t given a final X-ray or MRI or any further Physio and whilst I have held of working out for 14 months now, but having done all the physio exercises That were asked of me over the 12 months,I’m still experiencing a good deal of discomfort around the area of the procedure which is located on the frontal face of the right shoulder, which is mainly a burning sensation and intermittent pain both in the centre of the scar and on the area in the middle of the right scapula. I keep trying some resistance band work but after a day or two I have to keep stopping and leaving is for days or weeks before it feels comfortable again, to try again. I would just like to ask, could this be as you say in this podcast, muscle issues rather than a failed procedure and if that is the case do you think the exercises you have demonstrated in this podcast along with the Rock Tape, which I have ordered today for delivery tomorrow, could be the answer I am so longing for. Sorry to trouble you, but having watched many of your videos, I find then very interesting and useful, but this one certainly seems to have hit the nail on the head, so to speak. Hope you can comment on my war and peace here. Regards, Brett (UK)
Sorry to hear about the lingering pain, Brett. With the extensive history of surgeries, it's tough to say what's causing the lingering pain - it could be several things. The good news is the tissue will continue to remodel based on what you do and how you use it. @@painfixprotocol Hey Doc, thank you so much for your response. To be honest, I didn't think I would get one, considering your 'Workload 'and was blown away that you kindly found the time. You have given me HOPE and I can't thank you enough here. Onwards and Upwards for both of us! Stay well. Brett
I don't have any spasms in my shoulders, but my right shoulder experiences a dull ache deep within the interior, when I try to sleep on my right side and when I do dumbbell side lateral raises. Would this protocol be effective for this problem, or is it primarily for helping with spasms?
Hard to say without a physical examination. However, I have an entire playlist of shoulder videos that may be helpful for you - studio.ruclips.net/user/playlistPL1rO7vW04HUBscJklj1g7Ji-gz8a1Dllu/videos
I recently started weight lifting and have had issues with sharp pains in my wrists alongside my thumb. I also have some bumps on the wrist at the base of my thumb which doctors have determined to be cysts. Is there anything I can do for the pain in my wrists? I work on a computer much of my day as well. Loved this video as I was told I had a torn rotor cuff years ago but decided not to have exploratory surgery. My left shoulder catches and aches sometimes and I experience pain in the front delt. Thank you again. Blessings to you.
@Tammie Wilson - Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. You should see my video on thumb pain and I will see about creating a wrist video for people that work at computers all day. Cheers!

I found that the tape helped a lot with my shoulder. I am more than willing to try the exercises to retrain it too

I loved this video. I am going to do this. Where does a person get Rock tape?
Thanks Merle! You can get Rock Tape here: amzn.to/3LJIvzt
Thank for great information.
Glad it was helpful!
very good info
Thanks Werner!
the link you provided doesn't give a specific rock tape
@Johanna Bernardy, The best (most versatile) option is the 16ft continuous roll of Rock Tape. Click here to get it: amzn.to/3779mU1
