My dad was one of the biggest John Prine fans. Almost a year after my dad passed, Tommy Prine released this song where the final verse and chorus is about his dad. It always makes me think about mine whenever I hear it. I can’t quite figure out the alternate tuning he uses, but the song is similar nonetheless.
