    i was very young when this song was hitting maybe 12 years old. my dad used to let us have a small party in the living room while my mom was working it was AWESOMe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      We love that music because it’s what we grew up with, but I doubt many kids today are envious of our music any more than we were envious of our grandparents music. They have their own music, and they like it

    I always cried when they played this on the radio ...same with Everybody Loves a Clown. Dang, so many songs had me in tears back then. Leader of the Pack ..forget it! Back when music was music and songs had real lyrics.

    Love this song. Love this band. Tripplehorn who plays lead guitar has a daughter who played in Criminal Minds while Prentiss was away. Thia band has sonew really good hits. Good memories. Oh how I wish I could go back in time.

      I met Bobby Vee on a cruise and asked him about the story that he turned the song down. He stated quite clearly that it was never offered to him and he would have recorded it if it had been. He gave the same answer to someone else at a Q and A session.
