Sean! This comment is specific Slimeulation Mechanics and tips for you! (If you’d like.)
In the Slimeulation, you don’t have to spray everything to reveal it as a glitch slime! Largo bois, regular slimey bois, and special bois (gold bois and lucky bois) can all just be sucked up and they’ll be revealed as glitch slimes.
watch the slimes in the slimeulation closely for a little bit. glitch slimes will always have ditto faces like this •____• while the other slimes will have normal faces with big good smiles.
Pay attention to your surroundings in the slimeulation! Did you see a phase lemon tree in the indigo quarry area? did you see an overgrowth light tree in the starting area? if you watch it for a while, did it shake a little? those are 15 glitch slimes masquerading as a plant and those NEED debug spray to be revealed! save your debug spray for those!
if you wish to just keep sucking like you did with the pink slimes in the start area, i’d suggest you do it in the indigo quarry area with the water pool. you can keep sucking up all the slimes that fall in, some will be glitch slimes, and the tar that try to follow you will dissolve in the water!
btw, glitch slimes are much slower in water. if you can, i’d always suggest “popping” glitch largos over water you can swim in so the glitch slimes wont be able to run away as fast.

Don't know if you know this but the glitch slimes have a ditto face when in disguise
Annoyed me so much I was waiting for him to notice and he never did
It was a bit confusing on my first try, but the ditto faces are a bit tough to miss after 2 or 3 runs. It's also funny (to me) that he's interested in drones, and is going to spend his resources on the original ones instead of the Advanced ones that can be unlocked later.

Some tips for Jack: You CAN get the drones to get plorts from the plort collectors. For target choose 'plorts' it's the first one you can choose. Then for from where you choose 'plort collectors' and then for where to you choose 'market link' or 'market place'
Another tip: The glitch slimes have this face: ._. They literally look like ditto! So instead of wasting all the bug repellent just look for the weird faces and they CAN show up on any slime, they're just more seen on Pink Slimes.
Also you can only have two drones per area expansion, but just having two is extremely helpful if you need help collecting plorts. And make sure you always give them water or they'll shut down and stop working :)

Glitch slimes have a different face that look like Ditto from Pokémon. Basically a more derpy looking slime. Keep this in mind.

It's a little late but what I've done on my own farm in Slime Rancher is that I put a garden or coop with the favorite of a specific slime right next to the corral with the corresponding slime! Then you don't have to transport the food very far to feed the slimes

Hi Jack, seasoned Slime Rancher here! I've got some tips to help you in your adorable slime-filled playthrough:
I recommend you look into the new gadgets in the Lab area. Market and refinery links are VERY helpful and you'll want to make a few so you can put them around your ranch for the drones to deposit plorts into. (They are also able to be picked up and moved.) Also you can only put TWO Drones in each area. I recommend using one Drone to collect plorts from the plort collector and putting them into the market / market link, and using the other drone to harvest food and put it into the auto feeders.
I find it helps to keep the food item that slimes eat right next to the corrals, and after you make a Drone you'll want to keep fruit-eating slimes and veggie-eating slimes in their own locations (i.e. keeping veggie-eating slimes in the main area, fruit eating slimes in the Overgrowth, etc. This allows the Drones to be able to divvy out food to all the slimes in that area.)
Feeding your slimes their favorite food will produce two plorts instead of one! (Look in the Slimepedia to see their favorite foods.) It helps when trying to gain money or if you need plorts for the refinery.
Keep building drills and machines in the labs to unlock the purple treasure cracker, then go back and visit Hobson's secret vaults! There are a lot of purple treasure pods and they will help your progress (plus it's vey rewarding getting to open them.) I believe you need to build 100 to unlock the purple treasure cracker, which isn't a lot if you just keep fabricating the most basic pumps and drills, costing you the least amount of plorts.
You can see your progress on how many treasure pods you've unlocked and how many slime keys you've gotten in each area on the map in the top left corner! It's helpful if you want to %100 each area. (Slime keys are always attained by exploding Gordos, and you can also purchase one at your ranch.)
(This one is not so much a tip for progressing gameplay as it is for having fun;) If you have excess resources in your refinery you should try making decorations and putting them around your ranch. It's always a lot of fun to decorate and use the resources that would otherwise just be sitting in the refinery.

the refinery link is super useful as you can pick it up and move it. so when you go to other areas where you placed drills, you can place the refinery link down and just shoot it into your inventory to build things. it saves you having to drop things to make room for the materials! so glad you're playing again 😊

Tip you can use the debug spray on glitchy rocks and trees you can notice by when the objects move or twitch and you can notice the glitched the have dot eyes and a straight mouth
Also a full fruit tree or plant are usually a dead giveaway that it’s a fake

Here's a tip for ya Jack:
To get glitch slimes, look for the slimes or largos that look like ditto's
Please make so many more of these I love it so much
You can make teleporters to key areas on the map that go to and from your ranch to places you need to go. For example you can place a teleporter in the glass desert so you don't have to travel all the way to the ruins and then to the glass desert, you can save time

Hey Jack, here’s a tip; when the glitch slimes disguise themselves as different slimes, they have straight faces while the normal slimes have happy faces. Just thought you should know.

Try and get a teleporter in the glass desert so you don’t have to run all the way over there to get mosaic slimes.

He mentioned that it would be moderately useful. He already has one leading to the beginning of the ruins and its a slight run to get to the portal. A new portal would purely be quality of life
The glass desert is always what your first teleporter should be used for. The second teleporter is best used to create a loop from the lab to the overgrowth teleporter and the third teleporter is best used to connect the dry reef teleporter and the moss blanket. It gives you quick access to pretty much every area and the loop saves massive amounts of time while ranching. If you place the glass desert teleporter near the lab, you'll also create 2 pretty good teleporter hubs this way. The first hub being the lab and the second hub being the dry reef, with both hubs being connected thanks to the overgrowth teleporter.
