That list of complaints you mentioned was soooo educational. Maybe more info than creepy selfies next time.

That was way too creepy, and then then the stalking.

@name not available , only complaint I've had with my Samsung is the indoor icemaker freezes up all the time. Its a known issue now just a bad design with the icemaker being in the fridge compartment instead of the freezer.
$2000 ON SALE!?!? I’ll stick with my 20 year old refrigerator.
Our old house was listed for sale recently. The same Kenmore fridge we bought in 1992 was in the kitchen pictures, now going on its 4th owner!
Same but mine is Samsung
We bought ours in 2003 and it's still going strong
And that's relatively cheap. Place where I furniture shop they average 3k or more.
I got a new dented fridge last year for 300$. Paid for it, came back to get it and they had accidentally sold it. They gave me a brand new un dented fridge 🙂
A fridge guy told me years ago "stay away from fridges made by TV manufacturers". I have heeded that advice ever since.

Old sales tactic that works on a few. Insulting to most. I had a car salesman do that. He literally Wrote down 400 and crossed it out to put 280. Oldest trick in the book.

That's funny. Their warranty is up to 10 years. Look at the video. On the right side of the price, there is a sticker that says 10yr. Warranty. Hope yours last longer than that.

She said if it happens again to also include the retailer in the filing ( Home Depot) she will hold the retailer accountable as they will hold Samsung accountable. She was pissed at Samsung as they didn't attempt to join the court case as its easier now with zoom. She was awesome, she said if Samsung doesn't pay within 60 days to re-file the claim, include Home Depot and she will increase the claim award to the state max of $10,000. she basically said The retailers have an obligation to the public at large to support the products they sell through the vendors they offer at the retail level since they make money on the transaction. The first house I bought had a 1980s fridge in it and when I sold the house, the new owners didn't want it. This fridge has followed me from house to house for years and almost always remained as a garage fridge filled with drinks. Over the years I've had Samsung, Frigidaire, and GE refrigerators which have all failed on me at times where I had to transfer all my stuff into the crusty, but trusty 80s Kenmore fridge. This fridge is currently my primary fridge and it's more than 20 years older than my house.

Everything now at days is made from aluminum and cheap plastic, they dont make them like they used to.
If the guy is watching this happen in the store, he should walk up to the gentleman that's interested in the Samsung refrigerator and explain to him why he should not buy it and recommend what he should buy to help him. Even if he is not a store employee
Then he'll be escorted out of the store by security for actively causing them to lose business.
If he does this he will be expelled from the store immediately
Why when the other products he’s suggesting are in the same store?
The trick is not to buy a fridge with many "bells & whistles", even as simple as an ice maker. The more a fridge is simple in its feature the better.
Anyway, rather than spying on shoppers and be like a creep, I wish you just approached them & share the info you have about Samsung & with doing so, you've helped someone with making an informed decision & get a thank you.

My sisters lg washer is 9 years old and had a single repair. LG washers and dryers are pretty good. Their kitchen appliances have issues in the past but they are getting better. From an appliance repair tech: yes Samsung has some bad fridge models. BUT that one they were looking at was not one of them. Their lawsuit had to do with the direct cool ice maker in certain models. This model is a flex, and doesn’t have that ice maker.
On another note, kitchenaid (whirlpool) is making some of the worst fridges right now. And LG has a lawsuit against them for their compressors. Do better research

I agree, we’ve had two Samsung refrigerators and both had issues with the ice maker getting jammed and frozen up. They look nice, but don’t do it!
Same here👋🏼 Nightmare!!!
Those ice makers can't simply be powered off either; if the ice maker fails, it is connected to every other part - and well, may as well toss it in the trash or take it out back and shoot it with a shotgun. A malfunctioning ice maker can simply screw with the temps of every other component, causing high temps inside the fridge, problems cooling, etc.

I fix fridges as a side business and in my opinion GE makes one of the best refrigerators. Maybe not so much for the looks but more so on how reliable they are. I once had a friend who brought a Samsung fridge even though I warned him to stay away from it but he wanted something that looked fancy…he lasted a month until it stopped working 😂

GE really does make a reliable fridge. my parents have had their GE side-by-side since the late 90s now. things been thru 2 moves and sat in their humid ass garage for years as the "back up fridge" until their new fridge shit out about 5 years ago. they moved the old GE up to the kitchen instead of buying new and it's still going strong 😆😆😆 only needed 1 small repair to keep the back of the freezer from frosting up few years back.
@@moremiatas GE is Haier, they sold there appliance business to them years ago
I had a GE and it sucked. Leaked constantly, water lines froze, and ice would build up along the back wall of the fridge.
@@kylereed5161 incorrect. Haier owns General Electric now however General Electric still makes the majority of their appliances in the same facilities and the same way as they always did. It's no different than Electrolux owning Frigidaire. In fact when Electrolux bought out Frigidaire they had Frigidaire secretly making a lot of their more expensive appliances because quite frankly, the Electrolux appliances were garbage despite what they costed. They were using Frigidaire to bail them out. The most extreme case was the front load washers that all the sudden had a great reputation. Samsung is just as bad as the rest he mentioned. Source- an actual repair tech that says the only fridges made to last are by brands you wouldn’t know. Including a very expensive brand used by celebrities and not only is it expensive but no ice maker!
Ice maker is the most common failure on a fridge and most fridges are dumb and put them in the same area as the fridge part rather than smartly put it in the freezer section.
Hence my LG gets ice globs every once in a while and you have to open and remove the ice maker to clear out the chunks of ice frozen together.

Our Samsung has plagued us with random loss of temp for two years! Samsung just about made a grown man cry jumping through their hoops to get a refund. And the refund was far less than the retail price for the original unit. This house has a lifetime ban on Samsung now.
I used to install household appliances and I have to say Whirlpool, Frigidaire and Samsung were the top appliances I was having to install. Idk about you but people seemed to like them.
My advice for appliances are Whirlpool. SOOOO many people have them, they are pretty reliable and they are a lot cheaper than anything else. Now if we discuss televisions, led diodes, or a slew of other electronics, then yeah, Samsung has a great reputation. Their home appliances hardly carry the same track record though.
For me, statistics hold more value than “high ratings among professionals”.
I would be genuinely curious to hear where those high ratings are from because I’ve never seen them.
Don’t forget I have Samsung appliances that have treated me well (fingers crossed), so I’m obviously not making a blanket statement saying that they are all bad. But comparatively they have shown to be more problematic than I’m sure the company/consumers would like.
Cheers
@@JasonEyestone i reviewed consumer reports. They give Samsung high ratings. They are named in the top five most reliable brands. Just curious, what statistics reports did you read. I’d like to review them also, as my mother needs to replace her Frigidaire
Same had mine over 3 yrs. And the one I had before this one worked with 0 issues for well over 6
LG said:
"Our phones are very hot, we better concentrate on creating refrigerators. It's the complete opposite" 😂😂
(My grandparents and I are very happy LG - in fact we are an "LG family" for many years)
I have a Samsung and absolutely love it. Did my research for months prior to buying it.
Have you had it longer then four years? If so you may have bought one of the few good ones. If not and you are getting close to the four/five year mark get ready it for it to fail. Three of my neighbors all had Samsung refrigerators fail within a few months of mine during that same time line.
I have a side by side Samsung fridge. Had it for 10 years. It's quiet and has worked flawlessly.👍
mine has 10 years, lol.
@@Rover101 I've had mine for 12 years. No problems yet...
Samsung fridge has been running fine 24/7 for 16 years now besides a lightbulb that went out a few months ago.
My grandma has a Frigidaire from the 50s in the basement. Still running perfectly and so satisfying to open.
RIP the power bill
Yeah she's spending more in power than her just buying a new fridge every 20 years lol
How much ???
are you French.
@@masmoudi5595 My mother is French Canadian so yes
Fact check: TRUE. For one thing (at least on the POS model I owned) there is no mechanism to tell the ice maker to stop making ice. You can shut off the ice DISPENSER, but the ice maker won't stop making ice until it completely fills up and then freezes the whole mechanism up and it stops working altogether. I spent hundreds of dollars getting the damn thing replaced and had the same problem every time. Replaced it a second time. That time Samsung at least paid for the parts, but I still had to pay the labor (which was a crapload). It broke down again. Same issue.
Frigidaire never fails
@daddy6885 A Month?! Dayum!🤣
Thank you for educating the public! I own an appliance repair company in Michigan and I work on Samsung refrigerators almost every day and most of them have a problem that is actually a design flaw which is not really repairable in the problem keeps coming back no matter which parts you replace so definitely do not buy a Samsung
This is such awesome feedback 🙏👊👍
What do you think of the top of the line bespoke
One of my students said their new Samsung fridge was broken, too, with no resolution in sight.
The brand was so low on the list of important factors when i got my fridge/freeze. Mine is Samsung and it works as expected. Its now...6(?)yrs in. It also didn't cost the earth unlike that insulated box with a compressor. That store is making outrageous profits!
I did it. Now less than 10 years later, the fridge and stove are huge metal art destined for the scrap yard. We will NEVER buy Samsung again. It was an expensive lesson to learn the hard way.
I hope you went over and gave them some advice!
Had the same thoughts. But unfortunately people out to get more views for their videos, criticizing others instead of just directly talking to them.

What part of Kenya are you from? I grew up in Nairobi, over 20 years ago. I miss the smile Kenya brings to my heart. I hate that I forgot how to speak the language.
Yes, everyone loves judging from a distance, instead of being a friend. I am the opposite. Even when I work for the company. Sometimes things are on sale or clearance for a reason. Always checking product reviews before any major purchase is a must for me. Can't disrespect my money.
Nah he made a RUclips video

Same ...
Do you have any complaints about them... If not... what's the big deal. I have a 9 yo fridge... never had a better one.
My entire house is Samsung and still going strong 10ys in
My parents samsung refrigerator crapped out after a cpl years. Total garbage and expensive too. Best of luck

He's right, our Samsung refrigerator died after 1.5 years, they only gave us half of the purchase price, never again
Among the alternative refrigerators you mentioned, which is the top 1 and the last? Thanks sir.
Our Samsung refrigerator is running perfectly. We absolutely love it. Not sure what your issues are with them, but to each their own I guess.

😂😂😂😂😂
He sounds like he knows what’s going on but he doesn’t! 😂😂😂😂😂
I worked for a home warranty company and it is a fact that Samsung appliances suck ass next to LG. Repairing them is such a pain, you can't get any tech to do it, it has to be a certified one. Parts are hard to come by, deliveries take forever, Parts are expensive and if they can repair it it takes so long to do it.
And the main thing is that they are known for manufacture defective items like the fridges with the freezer drawers it would basically leak water in them and that's not covered.
Shit ima try n get in on this lawsuit😂
😂😂😂
i swear i would be buying tissue paper at a supermarket and this guy would be stalking me around the store whispering "don't do it..."
GE has never done me wrong, probably some of the best refridgerators and freezers on the market. Yes they tend to be more expensive but you get what you pay for; quality, no issues, great looking/working equipment.
Damn I have one GE came with my house which is a 80’s even older than me. It works just like new. The only problem is one of the plastic rails broke and I can’t find the parts. I used some strong glue to fix it and now it’s stronger than before
Bought an LG - lasted 3 months before it stopped cooling. Fixed under warranty. Lasted another month before same problem (4 months old). Called LG to get it fixed again. They said "sorry, pre-existing condition, we won't fix it". Then called company we bought the fridge from. 10 minutes later, LG repairman called back - apologized and said they would be out within an hour. It's still running but never again for LG.
Too late I bought Samsung fridge last year lol
I hope you purchased the extended warranty! Maybe you'll get lucky & get another year out of it.
Shit! Me too!🤣🤣
@@mayatha2091 freezer already giving problems lol
I brought the Samsung Refrigerator 4 door in 2015 with extended warranty and I think I'm THE only one not complaining. I pray everyday it holds up. So far, I'm very pleased.
Update: daughter told me ice maker in door stopped working. I checked and water not coming out. I called for a tech. Lowes nor Samsung show a record of my purchase 😆😆😆
@@itsmemrsd4621 The only person I've heard they're good refrigerators from is the salesman at Lowe's lol. A few years back they were bad because you couldn't get parts...but now you can he said.
You shouldn't have to get parts in the first place!
I bought a Samsung dryer and it's been great! Looks like you got lucky too!
Knock on wood 🪵
Having issues with mine as well😢
Wish I new sooner
What is the issue
I bought one off my neighbor for $50, it was six months old, he said the ice maker didn't work and the water dispenser was clogged. I fixed it myself with an ice maker I got from Amazon and I hooked my compressor up to the water inlet and blew the line out, it had junk in it from the factory (I guess) . Anyway, I got a $2000 fridge for $50 and some parts.
MY 1950'S GENERAL ELECTRIC REFRIGERATOR STILL WORKS 😂
Totally useless information for anyone needing a new fridge. They're all made in China.
Got a Samsung smart fridge for like 3 years now, zero issues.
Before pandemic is different
@@rickyayy nah it’s the same tf mine broke after 3 years straight up bs should’ve lasted 10 tf
Same same I've got all Samsung shit and no issues.
I have had my Samsung Refrigerator for years and I have had no problem with it. My washing machine is also Samsung. I love my appliances.
As a fellow sucker on Samsung appliances...DON'T DO IT. Pure garbage.
After several appliance repair calls...ALL repair persons said their biggest repair calls are SAMSUNG. Apparently Samsung won't even divulge how to repair, to repairmen.
I have never owned an appliance that required that many expensive repairs in the course of 5 years.
Should have dumped it after the 3rd. Could have afforded top of the line appliances.
Yep I have a Samsung. Ice maker is a nightmare. Bought an extended warranty, but they wouldn't do anything to help. Told us to join the class action suit. And the black stainless steel peels off BTW. Dishwasher broke in less than 3 years. And let me tell you I take care of my appliances.
Manufacturers have a probability matrix on the failure rate of components vs their losses; even extended warranties are only good till MOST fridges still work reliably; Insurance is a scam ; the intent is to never pay out.
The best insurance is to buy a cheaper model, run it till it dies, and buy a new replacement, skipping ALL extended warranties. That's self-insurance, btw.
I wish you had been there when my husband purchased ours in 2010.
The freezer has completely stopped working & the coils in the fridge freeze up which causes the temp in our fridge to be dangerously low.
Sometimes when you open the fridge there is a puddle of water under the crispers OR overnight that puddle formed AND refroze so you can't even pull the crisper out.
Change the condenser fan.
i mean 13 years not terrible tho
Check this out. One Frigidaire refrigerator in NC exploded with major damages in the kitchen. The company is paying for all the damages. And the Frigidaire Company is studying what caused it to explode.
So true . My sister in law had one for two weeks before it stopped working . It will be five weeks before they get a new one.
I work for a junk hauling service he ain’t lying. We’re always picking up these things
“Even Bosch” - that’s like the best one you mentioned.
Edit: if you’ve got some money to spend & Bosch doesn’t do it for you try Neff or if your loaded go Miele 👌

@@Catandthespoon yes in terms of build quality & reliability, repairs out of warranty can be expensive but what isn’t lol
I used to work as a service tech for smasung...i can confirm icemakers were a daily fix for me at least 10 a day on brand new fridges too...if i make a suggestion for anyone looking for a new fridge: make sure the icemaker is in the freezer. Way less issues with that build.

I've had a Bosch fridge for five years. Probably one of the best on the market.
My 2010 Sumsung hasn't missed a beat. Needs a damn good clean out but works like new.
