He just mis-spoke. He meant to say, "We want the ball and THEY'RE going to score!" Actually, from what I've heard about this, it wasn't his fault at all, and he threw the ball to exactly where Bannister was supposed to be. He just ran the wrong route, and Al Harris, who had a nose for the ball, made a perfect break and that was that.

1:00 "Got both feet down" Actually, he didn't. That game happened when if a receiver was forced out and would've landed in bounds, it was ruled in bounds and a catch.
If you need one, German Bundesliga 2001 Schalke was Champion for the first time, but just for 5 Minutes until Bayern snitched it away due to a freekick in the 9th minute of extratime and this is stranger/crazier as it sounds.
It was an indirect free kick as well, called due to a backpass. And the goalkeeper that picked up that backpass vs. Bayern? He was on loan to HSV.......from Schalke
Yup. A Schalke youth product, played that one season in Hamburg - just 3 matches - and will forever live in football trivia. And btw it wasn't 5 minutes, but more precisely 4 minutes 38 seconds. A number that will haunt Schalke fans till their death. And the freekick was the right call.
That’s the point he was a half of a inch away from the national title. If he hit the shot he would be remembered forever in the collage basketball history books.
Being a Seattle native I remember the early 2000's Seahawks era well and all of the frustrations that came with it. Our receivers routinely dropped passes (as pointed out in this video) so much that we hired a 41 year old Jerry Rice in 2004. The biggest problem was hiring Mike Holmgren as the head coach and GM; he knew how to recognize talent but he never knew how to use them correctly. I remember the 2006 NFC divisional playoff game between the Seahawks and Bears well. Hutchinson signing with Minnesota in 2006 hurt but we still had most of the players from the 2005 Superbowl team. In my opinion Holmgren's play calling cost us another Superbowl appearance; throughout the 4th quarter and into overtime Holmgren kept handing the ball off to Shaun Alexander (who was only as good as his offensive line) and kept getting stuffed by the best defense in the NFL that year. The game went into overtime and the Seahawks won the coin toss but they went three and out. The Bears hung in there, kicked a field goal, and won the game in OT. The Holmgren era was over at that moment, they never won a playoff game again until Pete Carol was hired. There were many Head coaches in the mid 2000's that showed how obsolete they were (Mike Shanahan, Dan Reeves, Marty Schottenheimer) Mike Holmgren was one of them.
Not that big of a deal but poole did not get both feet down. This was when the nfl had the strange rule that if a player would have landed in bounds but was pushed out before both feet hit the ground it would be ruled a catch. That ruling was a huge deal because of the playoff implications. Kinda like how Dez caught it lol
@@zeefly226 Yeah, but it never should have gone to overtime, that was an idiotic throw by Favre though, one of many. He wasn't even looking at the receiver, he just looked up to the sky...

The next week Donnatell wanted to call the same all out blitz on 4th & 26 vs philidelphia but was overruled by Mike Sherman and green bay lost and Donnatell was fired.

Underrated 2000s QB honestly
Packers/Seahawks always have great playoff games.
what's going on with the people doing "hot feet" on the right/left side of the o-line? #81 at 6:02 and #86 at 6:17
Did originally come to this channel for the Bois, but Alex and Seth have made this series Pretty Good too.
As a die hard bears fan. Watching this live broke my heart lol
Do the infamous 1 yard pass since we already talking about Seattle 😂😂😂
Too soon
Should have run the damn ball, Petey.
Let’s talk about it while we’re getting happy endings at a massage parlor.
"Second half rushing TD's from a yard out continued to become a bit of a theme" wait, this doesn't fit.
As a Seahawks fan, I’m almost happy the Super Bowl interception happened so we finally forgot about this painful one
2010 men's hockey Olympic final for rewinder!
I so remember that.
Here's a Rewinder
One Nation Under... Landon?
Landon Donovan's 2010 World Cup goal against Algeria to not only send the USA to the knockout stages of the World Cup, but also giving the USA its first ever first place finish in the group stages in the World Cup in a group that included the mighty England.
Poole got 1 foot down, different rules back in the early 2000's on what's a catch, but your point still stands SB Nation
Junior High Seahawks fan me died inside after that pass, once again after our SB loss to the Steelers aaaaaand yet again after we didn’t hand it to Lynch on the goal line
The week 16 game in 2003 between the Packers and Raiders on MNF was probably the best game Favre had ever played. He was obviously motivated to get a win for his dad and to make it look like he was playing backyard football with the Raiders.
I actually remember watching this game
Do either the Malcolm Butler goal line interception in the Super Bowl or the 2013 Iron Bowl Kick Six please
This game was before I was born
As the greatest moment in college football you haven’t done please do Iowa’s Hail Mary against LSU in the 2004 capital one bowl
The 2010 game between the grizzlies and Kings with tyreke's buzzer beater and Dante Cunningham celebrating the shot before it's even crossed half court
