Come to New Jersey with me and let's go to the Nach Yomi cycle 2 Siyum! I completed this cycle of Nach Yomi and am so excited to go to the big siyum in Teaneck New Jersey put on my the Orthodox Union's Women's Initiative. It was such an incredible experience to celebrate with so many amazing women and I am s happy to take you along with me on my trip to New Jersey for the Nach Yomi Siyum with me!

I actually saw your picture on our local news website, Baltimore Jewish Life! There was a group picture of the ladies at the siyum, and I told my husband I think that's my girl Chana from the vlog that I'm addicted to!! And sure enough, there you were!! So glad you got to go. I plan on joining the Nach learning in the near future when I retire iy"H. 😊

When I saw the short on You Tube, I was hoping for a video, because you know I love it when you are in teaching mode! French was my first language, so any word that I don't know in another language (in my case, Spanish) gets filled in with French too! It's nice to have a backup language, right? So wonderful of you to share this celebration of learning!

That time of the morning is not fun. Iris used to always be awake at 3am as a baby and I became very familiar with it. You power through, don't you, when you have something to accomplish such as travel but also because one aspect of the travel will be bringing you much joy, encouragement and adding to your faith. It is vital for us to meet together in this way and celebrate and encourage each other - especially as women. I love that you are showing your children, by example, the focus of study and your beliefs as a person, a wife, Mum and woman in your community. I try to do the same with my family. Your eyes were sparkling all day until they were clearly done in with exhaustion. Lovely to see what you have been doing and I will be subscribing to Babbel. I have been learning Spanish and want to continue that but I am considering Swahili as I sponsor a child at a school in Tanzania. Keep smiling my friend!

@@jaroffirefliesI studied Spanish, then Japanese, then Korean. Not fluent in any of those, but while learning when I couldn't find the word in Korean, I knew it in Japanese, and then if not my brain went to the Spanish, then finally back to English. Brains are fascinating! Or maybe it's a personality thing. I think we have similar MBTI.

The vibes reminded me of programs from my undergraduate days in school-I attended a private university with religious affiliation, so a lot of what we did tied in with faith-based elements. The shared purpose of the setting of this video was very evident.

I love French. I took two years in high school and one quarter in college. My French teacher really liked me. She was mad when I switched to German. I should have stayed in French.
This is so cool. I've only wavered in and out of a little daf yomi myself, but I love the idea of celebrating a completion of a learning milestone.

Thank you! No prize, but we have our knowledge gained from the learning and the memories of a great event! As for missing the class, I did get to speak with the teacher later at the meal and thank her for her teaching and let her know how much I enjoyed her classes, so I call that a win!

It is wonderful to see the similarities and differences in religions. I could just see how excited and happy you were to be there. I can’t wait to see more of your trip.

Hello Chana, I know you're already finished with the Civil War, but I wanted to share a book with you that your eldest might find fascinating, as well as everyone else. It's called Battlefields of the Civil War by Peter Cozzens. It has maps included with the book of all the battles as well as day to day commentary of those battles. A very interactive way to learn how geography and strategy played their roles in the battles.
