    Just found your page while searching RUclips for videos on common buzzards, as I have loads of them hunting on my land here in Galway Ireland, I purchased the 10 acres site last year and decided to preserve it for wildlife except for the area I'll be building my cottage on. since moving onto the land I have noticed so many different species of birds and animals living there so I made the decision to take up photography and document all the wildlife living around the area. Looking forward to watching more of your videos to get some insight on hides and props

    Can I offer a suggestion? Try going to the hide in the dark. If the birds see you go in there youre pretty well snookered . I use the same 'Nitehawk' hide and had much more success when entering it under cover of darkness. Raptors are smart cookies and not easily fooled...Nice video all the same Simon :)

    Hi Simon. I just found your channel, and I am interested in purchasing a hide. Unfortunately, I live in a part of the world where there simply aren't any photography shops so trying gear out first is pretty much impossible. Anyway, I'm 6' 2" with a tall upper body. Do you think that hide would accommodate me? Also, wondering how that chair works on soft ground--does it have a tendency for the legs to sink into the earth? Thanks.

    • @simoneardley
      @simoneardley  Год назад +1

      Hi Christopher, at 6'2" it might be a bit cosy and on soft ground there is a tendency like any chair to sink into the soft ground. 4 x 6" square pieces of ply are useless to help with this.

    You seem disappointed Simon. I suppose it’s because you didn’t get the portrait of the buzzard on the ground. You shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that you’ve got some stunning flight, action shots, in my view possibly more exciting than your planned shots. The unpredictability is what wildlife photography is all about.
