I enjoy your 383 stroker series. You are thorough in assembling the engine and give helpful insight as to why you do things the way you do. I also compliment you on your professional attitude and the straight forward, no drama presentation. Keep producing these informative videos.
Question, why do so many guys build 383 Strokers, From what I have noticed they are an expensive build, and moat post HP /TQ numbers I have seen are right at 450-475+ HP.
This one makes 510/491 with the real world tune. I built it because I was after those kind of numbers from a high revving small block. Big blocks are even more expensive to build, and are heavier.

👍
I'd replace the gear on the distributor with a bronze gear also
I replaced the original with a composite gear. It serves the same purpose as a bronze gear.
383 you could of had 408 for the same money
Cool. I could have built all kinds of different combos for the same money. This is what I wanted.
Hi MR B YOU SALE THE 1965 GTO
Nope. Collecting parts for them now so that when I start them I can keep building without much for delays.
When did you drop the distributor in? I dropped mine in at 14* BTDC…
I always drop them in right at TDC.
