You don't have to do that, Mike. Remove BOTH caps from the top of the cartridge and set aside (one is to allow air flow). Fill the ink chamber and the sponge will absorb the ink straight away. Once filled, replace BOTH caps. Happy days, you're welcome :) and thank you for explaining how they are filled in the first place!

And to Peter King, the ones I have are auto reset. On my old printer this meant installing the cartridges and if they weren't recognised, turning the printer off, unplug from mains, wait 3 minutes or so, plug back in and seeing if they had been recognised then. Fingers crossed these still work the same way.

You just had to remove the seal sticker on the top corner and then refill the cartridge.

hi i have a question. that orange try it's removable?before refilling the cartridges do you put the Orange try , once you refilled the cartridges you remove the try right? i won't leak?

Hi Laura, that is correct. Fill the carts with the orange tray/clip, leave them to settle for a few moments, remove the tray and insert the cartridges into your printer. Don't forget to wash and keep the trays for future filling.
Leaving the cartridges for several minutes after filling will avoid leakage when inserting into the printer.

If you squeeze the ink cartridges then your ink is dripping all over the place!
