Beautiful tank. Interesting to see tanks with coral and inverts etc with fish that are often considered not reef safe. Very nice to see tanks that are also not just all sps and acros.
What lights do you have? We are looking at putting in a Waterbox Peninsula 6025 and your light style and mount style is EXACTLY how we’d like to set up our room-dividing tank…
How did he manage to hide the wires? Is it hidden thru the wall? I want to pickup the deluxe model but am concerned that the flow at one corner is going to be low and too high on the other with wave makers. Looking forward to hearing from you.
the wires for the lights sit nicely in the deluxe hood, Greg then fed them through the wall with a special wall plate, down to the cabinet. It's ultra tidy. The flow is from 2xMP40 wave makers at the wall end, the dry sides are hidden behind the tank and there is no cords in the tank. The flow is stronger at that end than at the peninsula end, but with suitable coral placement it works a treat
Deluxe peninsula should come with that light frame? The net cover came from America, there are a few places over there that make them - this one was chosen because it clips together which made postage a lot cheaper to australia :)
Great question! It was a kit he bought online made especially for the Red Sea. It is acrylic frame that fits together like a puzzle and then your usual clear mesh
I'm fairly certain this tank is 160cm long and yes, the mp60 will push water that far - but could be an issue once the coral has grown a bit more (like it has now)
If you tell me about a perfect reef I always get mad at myself because my tank is full of details/things I dislike and hate. But what is that?! AHA! I see what's going on ;);) Greg's tank has the same flaw as my peninsula tank... in fact all/most of them do. When you don't add flow strong enough from the wall side or put a pump on the opposite end of the tank you get that ugly film collecting on the water surface :( Usually that would go down the overflow but on a tank like this it just kinda stays there... i'ts crazy! But no kidding, his tank looks pretty dope... that no cable style is pretty cool and I wish my tank had more of that- better to say less of that :D Great reefscape. LOVE the LPS corals. Great selection of fish. I even spotted that yellow tip elegance coral. Dude you have no clue how rare these are in Europe :0 I spotted one for sale in my 10 year reefing career.
Wonderful. FYI: That's not a scat, it's a mono or butterbream. Scats are different, but similar beast. Also, that's not a guppy. It's a Pacific Blue Eye which is native. I've seen them in brackish, but not full salt. Totally right about guppies going full salt, I had a tank of guppies that I converted to full salt for live feeders. F1 is hardier than their parents. :)
I dont believe so. He has just moved, you should have seen the tank just before he moved it - amazing! Will be back to that level again in the new house in no time though :)
@@ParkersReef I’m planning my setup of a custom tank. Will also be very clean. I want to emulate that light fixture. Do you know if that’s the Redsea Pendant? I’m going to use G6 XR30’s. Any info would be appreciated.
Why would you be surprised that a Red Sea tank is a clean install? That's part of the reason they charge so much for the tank stand and set up. Because it's so clean. Very nice setup LPS system. Very poor audio. And you're mumbling it's not coming across clear.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm doing my best not to mumble but have been recovering from a cold. Can you explain some more about the poor audio, is it volume or quality or something else? I'm surprised that it is a clean install because they almost never are :)
@@ParkersReef okay listen to it again it's not so much you it's the other gentleman. Where in America and the English is not as fast. So it seems like you're talking fast but mumbling. Plus the volume in your voice is not really that loud so maybe a little closer microphone. Hope this helps not trying to hate at all. Just a little constructive criticism.
@@fadetoblack.- No it's all good, I always appreciate constructive feedback! We're from Australia and our accent varies from state to state (not unlike America) so there will always be a little language barrier :)
Great effort in 6 months Greg. Well done!!
A true Red Sea stunner!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!
It really is!
What an amazing aquarium, the rock work looks great 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It’s a ripper hey!
What a stunning dream reef, hands down the best for a six month old reef.
Ridiculously good huh?
Love this tank. Does he not have a clean up crew with the tusk, puffer and trigger? Tempted with a tusk myself.
Tusk certainly keeps clean up crew to a minimum!
Beautiful tank. Interesting to see tanks with coral and inverts etc with fish that are often considered not reef safe. Very nice to see tanks that are also not just all sps and acros.
Stunning tank. I love a peninsula but the best thing is the story, the stoke and that the whole family is into it ;)
My LFS has the peninsula as their display tank and like this one the water seems amazingly clear. Something I've not been able to replicate
I am a big lover of puffer fish. Would you tell me what kind is the one in the tank? does it grow too big? This is a great looking tank.
Looks like a Stars and Stripes perhaps? They get a decent size

I believe greg was running AI Hydra 26 :)
Gorgeous LPS tank!
I love it :)
oh that is so cool the schooling fish if i can ever get another tank i will get those type
it's a lovely tank!
Magnifique, bravo !!! 💪👏👏👏
Beautiful tank
Hey, I am installing the same mount today, any tips? How did you fix to ceiling? Thanks
Really depends on your install, but I'd suggest ceiling (but be sure to connect to something solid - not just plaster
Nice tank! Great video
Thank you for the reply!
Lovely tank
It’s a ripper huh?!
What are those schooling fish in the back?
glass cardinals
Excellent tank. 😎👍
Love the Red Sea tanks
AMAZING.
Jaw dropping! what light panel is that please?
It is included in the RedSea Reefer deluxe package. Comes equipped with 4 Hydra 26 HD's
Parkers Reef thanks alot. Im on the hunt :) keep up the good wrk.
Any idea if the light can be purchased seperately? (To the tank)
I believe it can be as a replacement part
@@ParkersReef thanks! I’ll check it out!
And yes, certainly amazing it’s just 6 months old.
What powerheads are you running in this tank? How many? And are they only placed at overflow end?
Correct, just placed on the overflow end. Often the challenge with peninsula tanks!
@@ParkersReef can I ask are they MPs? and if so, which strength did you go with?
waht kind of light that use?
It's using AI 26's
I wish you showed the sump and how he maintains the tank
yes fair point, I will try and show more of this in future. Thanks for the feedback!
are you still running the MP40s? how are they doing? enough flow? I have the same tank.
I know greg is still running mp40's and his flow must be all good as his tank looks unbelievable!
Superb

awesome tank. i also wanted to see inside the sump.
Yeah was an oversight im sorry! Next time :)
It would be nice if in future tanks we can see also the sumps 😉
Agreed. Was an oversight from this video, will do my best next time I catch up with Greg to get some footage of the sump.
Nice, would have loved to know the setup below.
yeah have had a few comments asking about the sump, I might get the owner to send me some footage and I'll make an updated video
which light is that?
that is the Red Sea Deluxe light from with I think 3x Ai Hydra 26HD's
@@ParkersReef very nice
Where could I get the net cover !??😱also any ideas how I can install my lights I got the 500 deluxe peninsula

What is Greg using for the tank lid?
Great question! It was a kit he bought online made especially for the Red Sea. It is acrylic frame that fits together like a puzzle and then your usual clear mesh
Hi, you have any idea what he is dosing and what’s in the sump, i mean any reactors
sure thing, Greg is dosing Kalkwasser and has a large refugium as nutrient export
Cool, thanks
hi mate, any chance you remember/know any details of the lids/nets he has on this unit?
would love them for my 650pen.
www.clearviewlids.com/
hey please may i ask how many cm long is this tank? also does the flow from the mp60 reach 150cm tank?
I'm fairly certain this tank is 160cm long and yes, the mp60 will push water that far - but could be an issue once the coral has grown a bit more (like it has now)
@@ParkersReef for a 150cm would you recommend mp40 or mp60 mixed reef
60’s are built so well, I’d much rather one of them
nice tank and scape....
What sort of puffer is in the tank?
Good question, not sure
I would love to know this as well.
Where can I find some of those "glass Cardinals" ?
Is that the actual name? Glass Cardinal fish? I can't seem to find them. Lol
Some call them threadfin cardinals
who sells such a light fixture? it seems it houses multiple hydras?
it comes with the Red Sea reefer deluxe setup. Including the multiple hydras
@@ParkersReef They can be bought separately.
There you go, they can be bought separately! I imagine it is not cheap however
