If you play a classic sonic stage as classic it's the original level, they try to be as exact with modern as well if you play a modern stage, with some liberties here and there as it's a 2d game now
Remember that time when Sonic was running from the cops because he stole a Chaos Emerald, and he wanted all humans to die because they killed his best friend? And then G.U.N thought Shadow did it, so they captured him, but he escaped by jumping out of a helicopter and running through San Francisco? Ahh, good times
I've consistently gotten S and A rankings on all of the tracks before this. Act 1 for Radical Highway gave me a C rank (I can probably do better if I retry, but I really don't want to). And I just keep failing on Act 2. It's those floating barrels that always trip me up.
@@MarjanAmbrozeNot really since if the layout and the camera gets sideways at some point it will feel like you transition into a 3d part like in the home console Version. Sonic rush doesn't have this so its different.
So who’s here from the Sonic X Shadow Generations trailers, and who’s excited for the new rendition of the Radical Highway level that’s appearing in Shadow’s story?!😄🤩😎👌
I still play sonic adventure 2 on my ps3 (considering the fact I can't beat it) but radical highway might be my favorite multiplayer stage, minus the ones you need to buy in the DLC.
Filled it to the brim with platforming. Seriously, I played this stage once and I raged a little because of the platforming segments. They're just everywhere!
So much sidescrolling... Why is Modern Sonic side scrolling the entire time?! If that's what all his 3DS levels are then what was the point of having a classic/modern seperation?
Modern Sonic represents the portable titles of the modern era, such as Rush, Rush Adventure, and Colors DS on his main levels, and Rivals on his rival battles (That's why you race Shadow and Silver rather than fight them on the 3DS version.) There's a lot of little details that prove it, other than the obvious 2D level design. When Modern Sonic fills up the entire meter, for example, he gets an infinite blue boost bar for a short period of time, similar to the way the tension gauge worked in Rush. Whether you like decision to make Modern Sonic a representation of his portable self on 3DS or not is up to you though.
Wolf O'Donnell Both versions are fun in their own right. 3DS version has a much better Classic Sonic than the consoles do, as the controls for that Classic Sonic are terrible. He feels clunky and way too robotic when he jumps, always jumping the same height no matter how you press the button, always bouncing the same exact height, etc etc. Modern Sonic....I can't really say which one I prefer. I like both styles of Modern Sonic, specially since the style was introduced in Rush (a side-scroller game) first, so that one is up to preference.
Wolf O'Donnell Only thing that makes it worse is that he has Mario-esque level design. Nothing against Mario, I love Mario, but that design doesn't work for Sonic.
My only grudge is that I dislike the fact that the camera does not follow behind you. IE bad camera view. Seems like it would be easy to die, simply from not knowing where your landing will be.
I think a cool boss would be Ultimate G-Merl, instead of going super and fighting him with Eggman you'd fight him on the moon or something and he'd try to slam his hands on the ground or something cool
oh and to add a number 3 for ppl who ask why is biolizard there because 3) it was part of sa2 and SONIC and shadow both fought him in the final battle. plus its from sonics memory
The Wii version turned into Sonic Colors. They never admitted it, but there's a lot of evidence (classic enemies ripped straight from Generations are the biggest giveaway)
Yep! If you hack the game and look at the models a lot of them are taken right from Generations but named _SD for standard definition. Who knows why they did that, but Colors is awesome so it's fine with me.
Let's not even talk about the camera angle. The game is a diagonal, behind-the-back angle. If the camera was tweaked a little more to the left, the game would be a complete behind the back look.
I think that if Sega gave Dimps the time and money they would have been able to make an awesome Wii version of Generations (Unleashed Wii's Day Stages were awesome, dammit) instead of this bullcrap.
The only level that really does have bad music is Radical Highway Modern. On that note, Dimps had nothing to do with the actual making of the music anyway, it was actually the same people who worked on the Generations 360/PS3 themes.

Yeah, but when was KH BbS and Dissidia released? And when was KH 3D released? The 3DS is still on it's first 2 years, so it's obvious that it's not gonna show it's full potential right now.
I actually like the music for this act. I don't like the actual act, though. Not to mention Sonic's never been in this level so it's a dumb level to choose. Should have chosen Metal Harbor, Pyramid Cave, or Final Rush. The Shadow boss in this level was a pain.
I didn't even realized that the entire level layout looks like the exact original.

Boooo ok I’m dumb

Actually it’s not that 2d considering the moderns parts are in some places almost faithful to the 3d parts in the 3Ds port which is outstanding

Why does the music sound like someone ate the original soundtrack and puked it into our ear holes?
it could be the 3ds sound quality or the 3ds limitations. Or they just half assed it on the 3ds version.

Atleast the Classic remix makes up for this disappointment.
