It would have been cool if the other versions of Generations didn't get cancelled and they got their own unique selections too, because the genesis games getting three levels and the other eras only two each makes me feel like they had more planned but never finished it.

Better roll physics, special stages, some of the stages are better than the HD version personally (Mushroom Hill>Sky Sanctuary), online, missions are entirely optional instead of being needed. you could make like cool little profiles, I love how the Vs characters are actually races instead of a battle. Classic Sonic has an integrated homing attack instead of attack set in HD.
It may have been the inferior version graphically, but it was on the superior system (at least compared to the Xbox 360). It also had better mechanics and different stages. Personally, I prefer Sky Sanctuary to Mushroom Hill, but I love both! The music in Sky Sanctuary is just so energetic and upbeat! I loved playing through it in Sonic 3 and Knuckles for the amazing scenery, music, Metal Sonic boss fight, and (if you were playing as Knuckles) the Super Metal Sonic boss fight! It's a shame they didn't recreate those, but there was a Metal Sonic fight in the same section of White Space, so I can't fault them. I also liked Radical Highway over Speed Highway, and it was nice to have Sonic fight The Biolizard!
Imagine if Sega put this game with remastered graphics into Sonic X Shadow generations, making it a trilogy. That would be incredible, and maybe add the drop dash into this game too, seeing as it’s all 2d, it would be much more practical, especially for modern sonic. Even if this was a smaller game and Radical Highway and The Biolizard are in Shadow gens, I think it would’ve been a nice little bonus. Maybe for the digital deluxe or preorders.
The console and 3DS versions are all enjoyable. They both have their own pros and cons. It's such a shame people constantly shit on other people's opinions to try and force *their* own opinion to them. Bless y'all still watching this vid

Nah, the problem was that Dimps was shoved under a 6 month time limit by SEGA to make the game, so we ended up with only 7 stages and barely any side content. It was a result of crunch time.
The only thing i dislike from now, are the controls, modern sonic didnt have the stomp, and an especific button to slide, same with classic sonic and the spindash. (I just completed Green hill by now, i dont know if its an hability or something that i can get)

I think that this version is actually better than the console versions. Although this one may not be as visually pleasing, they make up for that with better camera angles while playing. The stage choice is ten times better than the console, and the gameply for modern is very reminiscent of Sonic Rush, and that's fantastic.

I like both the 3DS and console versions of Sonic Generations. I know people say that the 3DS is inferior to the console version, but personally, I think it's just as likeable as the console version due to there being different stages not seen in console. For some odd reason people forget that Green Hill Zone was the very first level in sonic games on handhelds.

So they didn't add any stages from Sonic Heroes, Sonic 06, or Sonic Unleashed (excluding the bosses) but they have a Sonic Rush stage. Good job Sega.

@@firstnamechrislastnamemart2372 its indeed not a cash grab there was thought put into this game like trophies online modes time attacks and having the mii functionality so you can play with your friends and have sweet card banners the HD versions never had this you couldn't race your friends or online players if it was a cash grab those features would be locked and the stages would all be the same as the HD yet they're not I agree with you chris out of sight out of mind .

I think that this version is actually better than the console versions. Although this one may not be as visually pleasing, they make up for that with better camera angles while playing. The stage choice is ten times better than the console, and the gameply for modern is very reminiscent of Sonic Rush, and that's fantastic.

I like both the 3DS and console versions of Sonic Generations. I know people say that the 3DS is inferior to the console version, but personally, I think it's just as likeable as the console version due to there being different stages not seen in console.
Now we wait for Brandon to make a stop to my comment and complain about the 3DS version despite him coming back to this video to bash on people who like the 3DS version

Welcome to Sonic Generations 3DS. You can ether go to the past and play some classic 2D lovable gameplay or stick to the future and play Modern 2.5D Gameplay!
This game is wierdly my personal favourite out of not just the Generations versions, but of the franchise as a whole. It was the first game I have ever played and I honestly love it, especially act 2 of Emerald Coast because of the music.
