I still get chills hearing that roar Perfect Chaos does. Especially when he takes damage. Just now found myself remembering that Silver in this was voiced by Marcus (main character from Digimon Data Squad)
I have come to realize that besides Shadow (whose fight is structurally different from the rest anyway), the Egg Dragoon is the only boss in Generations that doesn't take four hits to beat.
Back when I was a kid, the Egg Dragoon was such an amazing Boss fight. Using all the combos and skills you learned over the game to beat the everlasting crap out of Eggmans greatest mech yet, as you fall to the Earth's core is one of the greatest spectacles in the series.
Funfact about Perfect Chaos: it's designed in Generations is much closer to its intended design than what was used in Adventure. The only reason its concept design wasn't used in Adventure was because the Dreamcast couldn't handle it and the re-releases on Gamecube, Xbox 360, and PS3 weren't given a high enough budget for the developers to actually put it in the game.
It is surprising how strong Sonic has become sine he can now fight perfect Chaos in his base form and doesn't need werehog powers to fight the Egg Dragoon
My head canon is that Sonic absorbs a fraction of power from Super Sonic in his base form everytime he goes Super. So in the dreamcast era he needed to be super defeat Chaos, but by generations he was almost as, if not more powerful than Super Sonic at that point. Whicb also explains how he got the boost.
@@chriscoughs5774 my thoughts are sonic has gotten way stronger and faster since then, proof of that would be his new skills like the boost and homing attack
If we're being honest, the Werehog form was holding Sonic back from beating the Egg Dragoon. If he was regular fast Sonic, then he would have defeated it much easier, since he's more comfortable with his speed than his brute strength.
I think the coolest thing about this game is the Boss themes. They all either have their original theme from their respective games or a remixed version of it
Back when they still actually put effort in the boss fights. Instead of recycling them, and changing just the coat paint... swapping the model and calling it the day.

So quick story: I played the Sonic Generations game on release, I only watched a trailer about it and knew it was gonna be either another boring sonic game or a pretty cool one...But there was no way I could be ready for the experience and joy I had. Every boss, every level, the soundtrack was amazing; and I was wondering which level and which boss was gonna come after the next one, I even had a small tear in my eye when I saw sonic landing on that destroyed city and heard that awesome guitar riff. Needless to say, I finished the whole story and collected all the emeralds in less than 2 hours. Simply perfect. Thank you so much for this compilation.
Almost 2 years since this made me happy, wish I could play it again on my Xbox 360. Don't got the game though... Edit: Sorry I meant 6 years, I was thinking about the video's release, not the game's
Didnt Sonic vs Shadow end in a tie canonically as they were equally matched and only stopped because a program on Ark was initiated to cause it to crash into Earth? Also it is canon that Sonic cannot beat Shadow 1 on 1 as Shadow maintains a direct link to the Chaos Force, the same energy that the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald get their power from, that he can tap into at will to further increase his own speed and power. This means that if Shadow ever removed ALL of his inhibitor rings, he can become Super Shadow without using the Chaos Emeralds.
Fun Fact: Perfect Chaos design in Sonic Generations was how he was supposed to look in sonic adventure. But due to the limitations of the dreamcast, with was impossible at the time
During the Silver origin fight, all I can think is the Grumps during the Egg Emperor in Heroes... "TAKE THIS! TAKE THIS! TAKE THIS! TAKE THIS! TAKE THIS!..."
My Generations wishlist: (for another Sonic Generations) Bosses: Sonic Blast - The Green Hill boss Sonic 2 (Game Gear) - Sky High Zone bird boss Sonic Adventure 2 - Eggman Fight with Tails Knuckles Chaotix - Neo Metal Sonic Stages: Yellow Desert (Sonic Blast) Twinkle Park (Sonic Adventure 1) Sky High Zone (Sonjc 2 Game Gear) Star Light Zone (Sonic 1 Genesis) Labyrinth Zone (Sonic 1 Game Gear) Pumpkin Hill (Sonic Adventure 2) Splash Hill (Sonic 4: Episode I) Aquatic Ruin Zone (Sonic 2 Genesis) Mushroom Hill (Sonic 3 and Knuckles) Blue Marine Zone (Sonic Blast) Electric Egg Zone (Sonic Chaos) Stardust Speedway (Sonic CD) Music Plant (Sonic Advance series)
I always say that. Perfect Chaos in this game is the ultimate showcase of Sonic's strength. Because he first needed the chaos emeralds to beat him. But now he can handle it without chaos emeralds.
Part of me still likes the US music for Metal Sonic's boss fight a bit more. I mean, I love the "hue"s as much as the next guy, but that other one felt more intense, at least to me.
the metal rival battle was based on the 'bad future' version of stardust speedway, also, the generations version of the level was used on a cutseane in sonic 4 episode 2 which implies that sonic got the bad ending in sonic cd (lol)
I think it's safe to say Silver's fight had the biggest improvement between 06 and Generations

Just now found myself remembering that Silver in this was voiced by Marcus (main character from Digimon Data Squad)
Also edward from fullmetal alchemist
I have come to realize that besides Shadow (whose fight is structurally different from the rest anyway), the Egg Dragoon is the only boss in Generations that doesn't take four hits to beat.
in unleashed i think egg dragoon takes 8-12 hits to defeat so it makes sense to keep it the same in generations
@@tylersdork I imagine it takes a lot more than that in Unleashed due to the beat em' up combat.

I was amazed when silver didn’t say “ITS NO USE!” for the original fight of silver
I wasn't
It is surprising how strong Sonic has become sine he can now fight perfect Chaos in his base form and doesn't need werehog powers to fight the Egg Dragoon
And remember Sonic was the only character to damage Tabuu in smash bros, He did that in his base version.
@@EliRetroVHS642 Yeah, sonic became very strong
My head canon is that Sonic absorbs a fraction of power from Super Sonic in his base form everytime he goes Super. So in the dreamcast era he needed to be super defeat Chaos, but by generations he was almost as, if not more powerful than Super Sonic at that point. Whicb also explains how he got the boost.

This shows how Sonic's strength develops over the years, note that he has notably less trouble dealing with them when compared to those enemies debut
Yes that’s Sonic is a 🐐
If we're being honest, the Werehog form was holding Sonic back from beating the Egg Dragoon. If he was regular fast Sonic, then he would have defeated it much easier, since he's more comfortable with his speed than his brute strength.

Classic Sonic on the death egg robot fight: Ah sh*t, here we go again.
It’s amazing how powerful Sonic has gotten. He can beat Perfect Chaos without his super form. Yet Eggman is still a threat because?
Cause like sonic eggman grows and becomes better so it's two unyielding forces constantly trying to overpower the other
Eggman finds more and more powerful sources of power, such as the jewel scepter (the thing that from Sonic rush adventures) or the time eater
Cuz Eggman is the main antagonist

Didnt Sonic vs Shadow end in a tie canonically as they were equally matched and only stopped because a program on Ark was initiated to cause it to crash into Earth? Also it is canon that Sonic cannot beat Shadow 1 on 1 as Shadow maintains a direct link to the Chaos Force, the same energy that the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald get their power from, that he can tap into at will to further increase his own speed and power. This means that if Shadow ever removed ALL of his inhibitor rings, he can become Super Shadow without using the Chaos Emeralds.

Stardust Speedway (Sonic CD)
Music Plant (Sonic Advance series)
I always say that. Perfect Chaos in this game is the ultimate showcase of Sonic's strength. Because he first needed the chaos emeralds to beat him. But now he can handle it without chaos emeralds.
18:54 I cannot understand what silver said
Meteor smash
Ok, thanks
METEOR SMASH!!!
*in fight with Egg Dragoon* how much times u could hit it, but no. u decided just to run. bravo
Fun Fact: In Sonic Unleashed The Egg Dragoon Is a Prototype
But in Generations is the Complete Version
Details, so much details
Every remix in this game were perfect. Except for egg dragoon, which is sad.
Part of me still likes the US music for Metal Sonic's boss fight a bit more. I mean, I love the "hue"s as much as the next guy, but that other one felt more intense, at least to me.
That scream though....especially when Sonic attacks perfect Chaos.
the metal rival battle was based on the 'bad future' version of stardust speedway, also, the generations version of the level was used on a cutseane in sonic 4 episode 2 which implies that sonic got the bad ending in sonic cd (lol)
Now I wonder.. what would a colors fight be.. even though recent it’d be interesting
