I have such fond memories of super sonic on GBA in Somic advance 2. My game would just sometimes randomly load up after switching it on and sonic all of a sudden goes super sonic like it was some sort of glitch. Then the next time I switched it on it would be back to normal!

Ok so would I be wrong in saying that a complete reboot of Sonic ‘06 with a complete and better story, better mechanics and gameplay, with beautifully crafted and fully animated cutscenes with no mocap, and interesting side conflicts with the side characters would be very good for the story, and so good that we could make it stay in the timeline and not be forged out of it? Plus, it would do Silver a great deal of justice

It’s funny how super Sonic feels (to me) simultaneously incredibly cool and incredibly lame. I love the idea in concept, but I think the biggest problem is the execution. Like mechanically very little changes when you go super. The older sprite games look sick but it’s only some speed values that feel changed. Then in the new games once you go super it feels like you’re playing a cutscene. I wish they’d make a game where you can go super during the regular gameplay and it feel mechanically very different (like be able to fly and move significantly faster) but maybe only for a limited time.
