I'm from New Zealand and have never been to Hawaii (wish to someday) and yet there is something so resonating about this song. It just speaks to you. I can still remember the first time i heard it, I was 11 and heard it on the hawaiian movie - The Ride. Ever since then, it's never left me. I hope to visit hawaii someday myself. When I do, I'll sit on a north shore beach while the sunsets with this song playing.
I’m born and raised in Liliha area and served the Hawaii Army National Guard. Now I’m over here in Middle East and I’m listening to this song and thinking about my beloved Hawaii.
Wow, this brings back beautiful memories, I landed in Hawaii for the first time ever in 2002 and instantly fell in love with the islands and pleasant atmosphere. I went with a good friend and we walked in an audio store where I bought a cd of Keali Reichel. I had never heard of him before but I just listened to it and thought what a great music. I still have the cd till this day and everytime I listen to it I get such a good memories…thank you for sharing these beautiful songs!

You touch my soul Keali''i every time I hear you sing this. I got married for the first time at 73 years young to a man I nmet and lived with in Hawaii for almost 20 years. We had a SPECIAL HAWAIIAN WEDDING/FAMILY REUNION in Las Vegas. We danced to THIS SONG since it moves us both so very much. It is magical, awesome and exquisite. Thank you for your gift of song

listened to keali'i reichels music when I got married to my wife in Hawaii in 2001 after being together 3 years. I lost her in November 2023 to covid-19, this song holds great meaning to me.
My dad hasn’t been back to the island for over 16 years due to health issues. It’s my prayer that one day he will see home again. Touch her sands and swim in her oceans once more. To feel her calming breeze. I pray that i will join him and bring my children to see where their mommy and papa came from.
Born and raised I am a Local girl , Hawaii is always home, I Live in Vegas , but my heart will always be Hawaiian first, living on the 9th Island, and have travel the states.

So u'i as is all of Keli'i's musical selections. Takes me back to the islands for sure. Can see the hula dancers at the Moana Terrace at sunset, with their graceful movements matching the swaying of the palm trees and the blue green waves of Waikiki.
Once I heard this song I just had to learn it on guitar, it's good to play it a starry night or when the sun sets....makes the world more beautiful you know?
This song and artist reminds me of all children............aspiring to belong and to feel incredibly important no matter what. This artist brings me the uproots of the best of humanitarian traditions.

Linda Miyamoto , why discriminate? What has he done to you? Do you know him personally for you to judge him? Yes, we would call a lot of white people in Hawai'i , "haole" that's kind of a norm in our culture to discriminate others. It's pitiful tbh. It's an island where ppl come and go, the rest stays. The people that stays see the changes of our beautiful land and the changes in people, whether it's bad or good! He was commenting on how he misses Oahu, it's coming from this song, the emotions it's giving out to others. Think before you post something. Anyways, have a blessed Sunday! Aloha!

Mahalo Kealli because of ur magical songs and dance I have massaged the world in our Hawaiian 5 stars resorts and spas. To this day Ur music heals and touches me and the ancestors and brings me to my knees crying and being filled w joy💋 Mahalo for the magical healing
I wrote these words to this music. If God sang this tune, I imagine he might say these words. His Love For Us Is Pure lyrics by Jimmy Motown (apologies to Keali'i Reichel, E O Mai) :26 I love you oh so much, I gave my life, to save you from your sins. You'll never understand, My reason why, you only know it must have been. My love is pure. Oooo 1:01 I only want for you, The good and clean, for this brings satisfaction. Desire your fellowship, It pleases me, to have our interaction. My love is pure. Oooo 1:37 I love my precious child. I told you so, I'll never ever leave you. When trials of life bring doubt, Don't you forget, My grace will be sufficient. My love is pure. Oooo 2:14 For peace and happiness. Do this and you will always please me. Love me with all your heart, with all your soul, And love your neighbor as yourself. My love is pure. Oooo 2:50 When time for you is near. And you come home and enter into paradise. My angels sing and shout when you step through, I have already paid your price. My love is pure. Oooo 3:26 I love you oh so much, I gave my life, to save you from your sins. You'll never understand, My reason why, you only know it must have been. My love is pure. Oooo 4:21 My love for you is pure.
Thank you so much for this beautiful Christian lyrics. I really use this. I hope you'are agree because is such a masterpiece. Thank you again and be truly blessed in this beautiful of Jesus Christ Amen 🙏

As a Pennsylvanian with a Hawaiian dream, Hawaiian music urges me to go. As of right now, I am self-teaching myself Hawaiian. I want to live in Kauai or Oahu one day.
Sure thing my man. All we ask is to be respectful to the people, our land, and our culture. And PLEASE DO RESEARCH BEFORE DOING/GOING SOMEWHERE. We hate to here and see people from the mainland getting hurt. Mahalo nui loa 🤙🏽 Kāhea maikaʻi a me nā hoʻomaikaʻi he nui.🙂
I love love love this song and learning about it in hula class. Also came across Keali'i's own words regarding the meaning of this song: ..."the E O Mai tune. In class we had been talking about utilizing natural elements in poetry. I decided to use water-the uses of water, and water in the context of sex and making love. You gotta have water to survive. And you have to have making love to be human". Just thought to add that as many were asking about the meaning of this heavenly song
Tu voz suena es MARAVILLOSA... Me lleva a danzar para encontrarme.con lo.mas sagrado de mi ser y asi ser UNO con El Mundo entero... Gracias por compartir està interpretacion junto antan excelso acompañamiento...

English:
We two in the water
The sighing waters of Kahualoa
Hold back that driven current
O my love, answer me
Restrain those waters
Surging wellsprings, stirring the heart
Glide on those waters as they sparkle
O my love, acknowledge me
Then, release the torrent
Waters of passion, burning the skin
Indulge until you are satiated
O my beloved, respond to me

His Love For Us Is Pure
lyrics by Jimmy Motown
(apologies to Keali'i Reichel, E O Mai)
:26 I love you oh so much,
I gave my life, to save you from your sins.
You'll never understand,
My reason why, you only know it must have been.
My love is pure. Oooo
1:01 I only want for you,
The good and clean, for this brings satisfaction.
Desire your fellowship,
It pleases me, to have our interaction.
My love is pure. Oooo
1:37 I love my precious child.
I told you so, I'll never ever leave you.
When trials of life bring doubt,
Don't you forget, My grace will be sufficient.
My love is pure. Oooo
2:14 For peace and happiness.
Do this and you will always please me.
Love me with all your heart, with all your soul,
And love your neighbor as yourself.
My love is pure. Oooo
2:50 When time for you is near.
And you come home and enter into paradise.
My angels sing and shout when you step through,
I have already paid your price.
My love is pure. Oooo
3:26 I love you oh so much,
I gave my life, to save you from your sins.
You'll never understand,
My reason why, you only know it must have been.
My love is pure. Oooo
4:21 My love for you is pure.

Please tell me more God bless you
