- www.tevaka.com Tamahana is the theme song to the movie "The Legend of Johny Lingo". it is on the 4th Te Vaka album - "Tutuki" .This is the original clip filmed in 2004. Other versions have pieces of the movie added.
Here are the lyrics....
Tamahana
I have always loved you
I hope to for a life time
the promise made
by this heart of mine
hold the line
you know one day I will come
I will come for you
you dont know what its like
for all your hopes to rise
to see them fall again
with the setting sun
in my heart youre the one
I know one day you will come
you will come for me
I will comfort you
well grow old forever
together in love
to settle in the calm
following loves frown
its just you and I
never let you down
I will never let you down
Tamahana
E he galo koe i toku loto (You will never leave my heart)
Tamahana
just you and I
for a life time
I will always love you
and not for just this lifetime
the promise made
by this heart of mine
youre the one
I knew one day you would come
you would come for me
Tamahana
E he galo koe i toku loto
Tamahana
just you and I
for all time

This movie is based on real events which occurred with The Tongan King who married a Samoan Woman named Tuhoia. Tonga was once in Samoa until they were chased out and basically went back to Samoa many years later and left with a Samoan wife in peace which is now called the Tu’i Kanokupolu

people from Tahiti like this sound forever pacific people mist beautiful and kind
Yeah, a lot. This song is really famous in Tahiti, you can hear it everywhere.
Those little girls are so freaking cute! I'm guessing they're singing in Tokelauan in the chorus? I can kinda understand it as it sounds similar to Samoan.
nope Tongan is ? they are speaking
+ironcobra82 tokelauaun
ironcobra82 Tokelauan. You can tell by the language and the necklaces they are wearing. They are called a 'Pa' and only worn by Tokelauans or if a Tokelauan has gifted it to you.
Yes indeed....their chorus is absolutely precious.....makes the song.....
