The real anime of the year it's no joke the only anime that had balling my eyes out. a lot of stuff have made me tear up, but abyss alone made me full on cry in every arc.

Yeah the music is great. Animation is good but not insane, but story and characters are weak. And it fell from its conceptual greatness by rushing all the way down to the “interesting” part of the abyss and immediately going to a complete and total halt.
i love how different the context is between just listening to the song and hearing it in the anime listening to it makes you feel like you are royalty, while the song in the anime makes you want to bawl your eyes out 😭😭

The "trauma" you speak of was the show itself. Ive never seen a show that can scare me to death with its concepts and then turn around and gut punch you with a scene so despondently sad that it becomes such an uplifting moment as you cry yourself a waterfall...

This is the reason shit like Demon Slayer annoys me so much. It's an alright show on its own, but its disproportionate to how many other better shows there are. Made in Abyss should be talked about to the level that people talk about Demon Slayer, not the other way around.

Nick's an adult so I guess he can handle those weird shit. But I hope those scenes wouldn't change his perspective on anime. Talking about horror anime, maybe he should try Another. It's not great or anything but thats the base of horror anime imo. after that he can start with the Junji Ito Uzumaki that's coming out soon. Just so he can get the jist of what horror feels like in japanese culture
@@MTAKIM-xy9jd Tbh I didn't think the anime had that much "unnecessary" weirdness besides that one part in ep1 where Riko was strung up naked and the toilet scene in season 2 (although it didn't really include nudity, but it was just kinda weird)... The other nude parts just seemed like cultural behaviour to me since I, too, live in a country where nudity is not linked straight to sexualizing. I thought it also added to the realism of the natural but unfamiliar world that the author clearly wanted to convey through the story, so I really don't get why some people make it such a big deal. I mean, I understand that CP is a huge problem, but this doesn't even come close to anything like that. Now, the manga is a whole other story😬 The author's production manager wanted him to include some questionable content on the transitioning chapters when the manga was doing bad at first - thanks Japan😐 And I think the author also has some... unique... fetishes regarding smell and some other things😅

I like how you uploaded this on the “Nicholas **Dark** TV” channel, because Made in Abyss is genuinely one of the darkest, goriest and most disturbing animes I’ve ever watched. Yes, you heard me. If you ever plan on watching this, just know that this is not a kid’s show, even though it’s focused around children and the openings and art style look cute. It’s the definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover” and that’s one of the reasons I absolutely love this anime. But the biggest reason you should watch it is the incredible story and worldbuilding.

Episode 13 is one of the best episodes in anime, it's unequaled in some respects. For me, episode 13 is better than the whole Violet Evergarden and Clannad put together, in that particular respect, lol.

Absolute superb. I've seen it like 6 times total, cried in buckets when I saw it 1st, a quarter of a century ago when I was 12. RESHAPED MY SOUL that anime.
Demon Slayer has one or two good osts and a nice story, the reason it exploded like it did is ufotables animation. When it comes to soundtracks, Made in Abyss is among the greats. Edit: I haven't seen it, so I can't judge the rest of its Quality.
