- Welcome to Dano Does Things, a place to learn, have fun, and do something creative every week! This week I decided to go back to my very first needle felting project, a mushroom! I documented my first foray into needle felt about a year ago (which you can see here: • Learning to Needle Fel... ) and since then I have learned a lot about felting. So I thought it would be interesting to recreate my mushroom and see how I've improved.. thankfully I've improved quite a bit!
So if this is your first journey into needle felting, I hope you enjoy this tutorial and make sure to check out my original video so you can see how far a little patience and and practice can catapult your craft. Enjoy!

I was trying to keep this one very basic as an intro to felting! I’m sure you were able to figure out the polka dots. Learning by doing is very helpful! ☺️

As for doll joints that a great question! You can definitely make felt dolls you can pose, using wire or pipe cleaners as the base for things like arms and legs. But for ball joints, you would have to add another material. Like a wooden bead as the joint, sewn into the wool?.. hmm now I’m brainstorming I may have to give it a try and see!
