God bless the RUclips felters who don’t have a studio. I watched some other videos where the people working had huge tables and studios, and while their work was great, I had no idea how I’d get something made on my kitchen table. Thankyou very much for your patience and for giving me the confidence to start a first project!

You can do it on the lawn or driveway if you like. I helped to make a felt door for a community yurt I helped to build.
But, nah, nowadays I want to sit down for my new hobbies.

@@suefraser6512 you're still helping people 7 years later! Thank you, I'm dealing with making a bunch of fur felt from opossum and fox furs, and I was all set up with bubble-wrap and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do next. Silly, I know, I got that far and the just blanked out on what I was told I could do, but now you've given me that last piece, PLUS how to tell if it's really felted. Thanks!

This is so perfect. Pragmatic, simple, no ego/performance involved. And then, after showing us that literally everyone can do this, she shows the beautiful little landscapes. A 'ta-dah!' moment but presented with nothing but a shy smile.
Really enjoyable , and I love the instructor and the little giggles from the woman behind the camera.
I am so used to watching verbose American presenters in tutorials that I am always really happy to find tutorials from Brits, who leave space for you to watch without narration. We don't mind silence. And when you're trying to absorb visual information, it's good to just watch.

If it's a baby sized doll, you could make a T shaped template, cover both sides with wool and then cut the neck and sleeves holes after felting. Allow for 30% shrinkage. Sounds like a challenge, but it is doable!
