Farid Responds Can't Show 1 Muslim Scholar

- @FaridResponds responded to a live stream me, @apologeticsroadshow and @JaiAndDoC did where we met his challenge to give a single early Muslim scholar who believed the Torah/Injeel was preserved.
After some interesting attempts to not acknowledge the challenge was meet - Farid reasserts his claim that the early Muslims believed the Torah/Injeel wasn't preserved.
Farid seems to think the onus is on us to provide quotations in order to demonstrate they believed the Torah/Injeel is preserved.
In fact, it's very much the opposite - early Muslims like Ibn Isaq, Mutaqil Ibn Sulayman, Ibn Qutaybar and al-Yaqubi made clear they believed the Christians and Jews altered the words of their scriptures through interpretation and localized altered copies, but never mention the idea that the Torah/Injeel have been universally textually falsified. The onus in on Farid to show they believed that.

@@ThePrimusCrusader There are different dialects of Quran, but only 1 manuscript. The issue of Aisha (RA) was only recently brought as an argument, if it was so bad/unethical then why has no one criticised it for more than 1300 years and only came up in the 20th century?

How can there be different dialects if multiple recitations that were different existed in the same tribe in a small radius in the region of people that spoke the exact same language? Dialects doesn't work. Also, why would Uthman burn the ones he didn't agree with if they were the same Quran?

Chris, Did you see Jakes new video on the Islamic Dilemma and how the Quran fixes stories like Moses' hand, Aaron making the golden calf, God resting on the sabbath, His whole argument is essentially that the author of the Quran needed to have intimate knowledge of our texts and therefore couldn't have affirmed it
I saw it. That's not intimate knowledge. They don't call Muhammad "the ear" for nothing. These are well known stories that would be passed orally that Muhammad either goofed up because he didn't remember them or he really didn't like parts of them and changed them. This is the same guy who wrote down that Mary was part of the Trinity and updated the apocryphal 7 sleepers narrative. I think he heard stuff orally and either goofed up the stories or thought he could improve the stories but none of this shows deep intimate knowledge or he wouldn't have added all these fables or made some of the obvious gaffes.
Also if Muhammad was so intimately familiar with the Bible wouldn't he be the one to tell us that Paul was the guy who came around and messed everything up? And yet there's no peep of the arch heretic Paul. I hope Jake recovers but this argument is a really weak attempt.
I think Jake is torn between admitting that "the author" was familiar with our texts or familiar with pseudo-texts. Either position implies that the author was a human who was not all that familiar with actual texts and any affirmation was out of ignorance. In any case, from the Islamic perspective, the conveyer of this affirmation (Muhammad) proves himself unqualified to make any educated judgement. In any case, the preservation of the Torah and Injeel is proven by textual evidence and pure logistics, and the discrepancies between them and the Quran do not speak well for the Quran, if, in fact, the Quran claims to affirm the previous scriptures. To say that the Quran could not affirm previous scripture is to admit lack of knowledge on the part of the "author".

Chris please do this: challenge Farid to quot what Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyya, already in the 14th century CE, says in his work "Ighathatu lahfaan min masaa'id ash-shaytan (إغاثة اللهفان من مصائد الشيطان)" concerning the THREE categories of scholarly views of his day regrding the preservation of previous Scriptures. It will be a catastrophic surprise for him and his fans, if he has the balls to do it, which he almost certainly won't.
Farid is grasping at straws. Muslims come up against an occams razor when they look at the same evidence we do and are forced by their doctrine to conclude that an elaborate and nearly impossible set of events must have transpired. I'm more inclined to believe that galloping hoofsounds are more parsimoniously being caused by horses, not unicorns. I can't rule out unicorns 100% but i can say that its unreasonable enough that suggesting the possibility of that conclusion is just insulting the intelligence of everyone else in the discussion. The emperor has no clothes and its insanely obvious to everyone who takes the critical perspective of islam. No complex grandiose global plan and red string conspiracy tin foil hats necessary.

I'm a Sufi of the Ismaili tradition and the two scholars he mentions Al Razi and Tabari affirm the Bible.
The Ismailis (9th-11th century) affirmed the Bible and the crucifixion. Sahl Al Tustari who is very early said the Holy Spirit is God.
Imam Ali in the book of unveiling said this "The Messiah is the one who rises with truth. He is the KING OF THIS WORLD AND THE HEREAFTER. He is mighty and Sublime. HE IS THE SUPREME WORD OF GOD"
Injeel for Muslims is New Testament + Early Church Father writings. The Injeel says in 1 Timothy 3:15 that the Church preserves the truth.
The trinity is also true. Our Ismaili scholars wrote about this.

The rejection of Modalism, Collyridians and Aryanism makes sense as they either risk fusing the differing aspects of God, incorrectly identifying the “persons” to use Trinitarian language, by adding Mary to the mix or create demigods. Trinitarian formulations attempt to avoid doing any of that but that’s often missed in debates.

If no one would endorse a book that contradicts them, why do many Muslims argue the Trinity/Incarnation contradict the Old testament, given that many Trinitarians endorse the Old testament? The same questions can be applied to Muslims who argue Paul contradicts Jesus/Old Testament.

I don't think they will find early muslim scholars that support the torah and injil were textually corrupted, because it would contradict the quran itself. I do believe that if the scholar is closer and closer to the time of prophet, then people just believe everything what it said in Quran even though they didn't know what's inside the Torah and Injeel. The reason is, the verses confirming the Torah and Injeel are clear verses. Except if these verses are not clear, and people didn't understand it and so they asked for interpretation of it. But if we assume that Quran clearly mention that Torah and Injeel were corrupted in term of textual (scripture). Then, those people (Jews and Christians at the time of prophet muhammad) obviously would "react" and challenge the prophet and asked for evidences. But if we read the Quran, God ordered them (Jews and Christians) to uphold the laws in their scriptures, which indicates that their scriptures (Torah and Injeel) were still reliable.
I simply don’t know why a Muslim scholars opinion would trump god. Allah said that the Torah was preserved so why are they now running to scholars?
