  • ‪@FaridResponds‬ made a video attempting to downplay the weight of the "Islamic Dilemma" used by non-muslims to demonstrate the Quran is false.
Strangly, Farid doesn't seem to make much effort attempting to defend the Quran - and instead asserts that any contradiction between the Quran and the Torah/Injeel must be intentional and rather than being a mistake - it must be evidence of an attempt at "correcting" the previous scriptures that the People of the Book were required to follow the law of prior to Muhammad.

Both of them were at the casinos playing blackjack and roulette. Then god cast them out of Las vegas and sent them to the middle east because they lost too many sheckles.

If the Quran is true, then Islam is false. Why? Because the Quran says to trust the Gospel and the Gospel contradict the Quran. This means the Quran can't be true if it says the gospel message is also true.

      1) That’s one of the problems of the Quran, the Quran is often vague and the author doesn’t sound like the sharpest tool in the shed.
      2) The four gospels were back then named as the gospel namely the fourfold gospel.
So most likely it’s meant to be the four gospels, specifically because the Quran refers to it as the gospel that is with them meaning the christians

@Ex-MuslimTestimonies nah nah, Islam solved the problem itself. Sirat Rasul Allah states John is the Injeel. John doesn't substantiate the Qu'ran, therefore the Qu'ran is false.
And Sirat Rasul Allah is legitimized in the same tier as authentic hadith, possibly even more from how it's praised for being an "ocean of knowledge"

@@justapassione5554The Gospel mentioned by the Quran is the revelation sent to 'Isa(as); copies of this could still be found here and there in the seventh century, though in rapidly dwindling numbers, since by then it had almost completely been displaced by the four Gospels.
This true Injil is currently lost. I strongly suspect it is the Gospel mentioned four times in the first century text of the Didache; it is also likely the source of some references to a Hebrew Gospel; an account of how it came to be replaced by the four Gospels is found in Qadi Abdul Jabbar's "A Critique of Christian Origins".

@@omarmirza9957Secular Jewish historian Josephus in his text (The Antiquities) wrote about the crucifixion of Jesus within 100 years of the event.
Secular Roman historian Tacitus wrote about the crucifixion of Jesus in The Tacitus Histories within 100 years of the event.
The Quran states this is 4:157-
“And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allāh." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.”
Just saying I’d be very skeptical to listen to what a man said about the crucifixion 600 years later (with not witnesses), and calling the earlier gospel corrupted when secular historians make the same claim as the earlier apostles.

    Contradictions are perfectly preserved:
one quran says "you", another says "I".
Dawah script: "they are different accents" 🤣🤣🤣
Hafs says "you (muhummud) wonder", while hamza, al kesai and khalaf versions say "I (allah) wonder". Which is the correct quran?
This is the text of sura 37.12 in the
    hafs quran:
    بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ: “
But YOU are amazed, and they mock”
    hamza, al kesai and khalaf:
    بَلْ عَجِبْتُ وَيَسْخَرُونَ:
“But I am amazed, and they mock”
The difference between the two sentences is the speaker’s perspective. The first sentence uses “عَجِبْتَ” (you are amazed), indicating that the speaker is addressing someone else. The second sentence uses “عَجِبْتُ” (I am amazed), indicating that the speaker is referring to themselves.

Since I am Muslim I feel like I ought to give an answer to this video (In roughly chronological order). This will not be a standard answer because I am Shia and our beliefs are much more amendable to (the more moderate claims of) critical scholarship. For example, we believe Muhammad (A.S.) was literate, that the Qur'an was created as God revealed it (and thus has context relating to contemporary events and literature), and that the hadith are not to be taken uncritically. I am open to the name Muhammad being a title, and I actually believe Ahmed is a title, meaning Paraclete. I also believe that the Bible is preserved (though not primarily in the manuscripts Protestants prefer) and that the Qur'an affirms and has masterful knowledge of it. In 5:48 the Qur'an claims to be the Muhayminan (A term only used twice, once here referring to the Qur'an's relationship to the Bible, and once as a title of God in a long list of titles, thus we are left to figure it its context from the reference here) of the Bible, which I understand to mean Midrash given both the context of the Chapter and the Qur'ans use of Biblical passages. I agree with you that Mecca was not a massive city, when it is called the Mother of Cities I understand that to be a reference to it being roughly the location where Adam and Eva were expelled. The reason the Qur'an mentions things not easily known to its local populace is because it is a message to all mankind, not just the Hejaz, and while we are on the subject of the Hejaz both Eusebius and Jerome place Cades/Kadesh in the region. I do not see why you believe that the rituals of Hajj resembling the rituals of pilgrimage to Jerusalem is a point against Islam. That is like saying praying the Hours is a point against Christianity because Jews do something similar. I am fine saying that the early Muslims (the ones who would persecute and murder the Prophet's family) used a different Qibla than Mecca, and given you are a Christian and so believe the disciples did not get the idea about the fulfillment of the Law of Moses until Paul, I do not see why you are using a comparable scenario as a point against Islam, especially because the change of Mosque direction to Mecca coincides with the rise of the Abbasids, a dynasty initially supported by Shi'ites. On the topic of the cross, believing in the crucifixion IS an acceptable belief in my sect of Islam, Twelver Shi'ism, and it is actually the standard belief in Ismaili Sh'ism, in fact, the first reference anywhere to Muslims denying the crucifixion is found in an apologetic against Islam (during rule by the dynasty that murdered and persecuted the Ahul-Bayt, I might add) written by John of Damascus. Also, Shi'ism is completely fine with images, even religious images, so the early caliphs using iconography on coins is not a problem for us. Alexander the Great is the hardest point for me to defend, I admit, but Josephus recounts him treating the Jews well and even sacrificing to the Lord, and even if I did not have a religious reason to believe that I would still be inclined to believe it happened, given Alexander's teacher was a monotheist (Aristotle) and that the Jews greeted him well. I will grant that the gates of Alexander would be incomprehensible if taken as literal history, and that it would be arbitrary to decide that this story alone is non-literal, but I take a non-literal reading of much of the Qur'an, given its Midrashic nature. I believe in the Septuagint Old Testament and a largely Majority/Byzantine New Testament as the preserved form of the Bible, and while not everything in them is comfortable to Shia Islam, I will admit (namely the sins of the Prophets), they also do not teach Christian dogmas such as the trinity, incarnation, and substitutionary atonement.

There is a very interesting documentary on Muhammeds origins. Turns out that the descriptions of where he came from was not mecca but Petra. The Qibla (direction of prayer) is also wrong, Muslims have no idea that they're following a religion that simply made things up as it went along.

In the Q'Uran there is a passage where Mohammad said "BELLS are musical instruments of the Shaitan.", When Mohammad was asked how do the revelations come to you. he replies." It's fascinating reading the subtle differences between the accounts of muhammad's first revelation (in Ibn Ishaq, at Tabari, Ibn Kathir and the hadith)
Didn't know they called the Torah the "Namus" (ie Νόμος)
-another Greek word in Islam to add to the list!

      Sahih Muslim 160a:
The first (form) with which was started the revelation to the Messenger of Allah was the true vision in sleep. And he did not see any vision but it came like the bright gleam of dawn.
Thenceforth solitude became dear to him and he used to seclude himself in the cave of Hira', where he would engage in tahannuth (and that is a worship for a number of nights) before returning to his family and getting provisions again for this purpose.
He would then return to Khadija and take provisions for a like period, till Truth came upon him while he was in the cave of Hira'.
There came to him the angel and said:
      Recite,
to which he replied: I am not lettered.
He took hold of me [the Apostle said] and pressed me, till I was hard pressed; thereafter he let me off and said: Recite.
I said: I am not lettered.
He then again took hold of me and pressed me for the second time till I was hard pressed and then let me off and said: Recite,
to which I replied: I am not lettered.
He took hold of me and pressed me for the third time, till I was hard pressed and then let me go and said:
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, created man from a clot of blood.
Recite. And your most bountiful Lord is He Who taught the use of pen,
taught man what he knew not (al-Qur'an, xcvi. 1-4).
Then the Prophet returned therewith, his heart was trembling, and he went to Khadija and said: Wrap me up, wrap me up! So they wrapped him till the fear had left him. He then said to Khadija: O Khadija! what has happened to me? and he informed her of the happening, saying: I fear for myself.
She replied: It can't be. Be happy. I swear by Allah that He shall never humiliate you. By Allah, you join ties of relationship, you speak the truth, you bear people's burden, you help the destitute, you entertain guests, and you help against the vicissitudes which affect people.
Khadija then took him to Waraqa b. Naufal b. Asad b. 'Abd al-'Uzza, and he was the son of Khadija's uncle, i. e., the brother of her father. And he was the man who had embraced Christianity in the Days of Ignorance (i. e. before Islam) and he used to write books in Arabic and, therefore, wrote Injil in Arabic as God willed that he should write.
He was very old and had become blind Khadija said to him: O uncle! listen to the son of your brother.
Waraqa b. Naufal said: O my nephew! what did you see? The Messenger of Allah, then, informed him what he had seen, and Waraqa said to him: It is Namus that God sent down to Musa. Would that I were then (during your prophetic career) a young man. Would that I might be alive when your people would expel you! The Messenger of Allah said: Will they drive me out? Waraqa said: Yes. Never came a man with a like of what you have brought but met hostilities. If I see your day I shall help you wholeheartedly.

      Al Tabari Volume 6
The first form in which the revelation came to the Messenger of God was true vision; this used to come to him like the break of dawn."'
After that, he grew to love solitude and used to remain in a cave on Hira' engaged in acts of devotion for a number of days before returning to his family.
Then he would return to his family and supply himself with provisions for a similar number of days.
This continued until the Truth came to him unexpectedly," and said. 'Muhammad, you are the Messenger of God.
The Messenger of God said, "I had been standing, but fell to my knees; and crawled away, my shoulders trembling. I went to Khadijah and said, 'Wrap me up! Wrap me up!'97 When the terror had left me, he came to me and said, 'Muhammad, you are the Messenger of God."'
He (Muhammad) said: I had been thinking of hurling myself down from a mountain crag, but he appeared to me, as I was thinking about this, and said, "Muhammad, I am Gabriel and you are the Messenger of God."
Then he said, "Recite!" I said, "What shall I recite? He took me and pressed me three times tightly until I was nearly stifled and was utterly exhausted ; then he said:
"Recite in the name of your Lord who created," and I recited it.
Then I went to Khadijah and said, "I have been in fear for my life." When I told her what had happened, she said, "Rejoice, for God will never put you to shame, for you treat your kinsfolk well, tell the truth, deliver what is entrusted to you, endure fatigue, offer hospitality to the guest, and aid people in misfortune."
Then she took me to Waraqah b. Nawfal b . Asad and said to him "Listen to your brother's son." He questioned me and I told him what had happened. He said, "This is the Namus which was sent down to Moses, son of Imran. Would that I were a young man now, and would that I could be alive when your people drive you out!" I said, "Will they drive me out?" "Yes," he said. "No man has ever brought the message which you have brought without being met with enmity. If I live to see that day, I shall come firmly to your aid."

      Ibn Ishaq
the apostle set forth to Hira' as was his wont, and his family with hin. When it was the night on which God honoured him with his miasion and showed mercy on His servants thereby,
Gabriel brought him the command of God. He came to me,' said the apostle of God, 'while I was asleep, with a coverlet of brocade whereon was some writing, and said, "Readl" I said, "What shall I read?" He pressed me with it 8o tightly that I thought it was death; then he let me go and said, "Read!" I said, "What shall I read?" He pressed me with it again so that I thought it was death; then he let me go and said "Read!" I said, "What shall I read?" He pressed me with it the third time so that I thought it was death and said "Read!" I said, "What then shall I read?"-and this I said only to deliver myself from him, lest he should do the same to me again. He sad:
"Read in the name of thy Lord who created, Who created man of blood coagulated.
Read Thy Lord is the most beneficent,
      Who taught by the pen,
Taught that which they knew not unto men."
So I read it, and he departedfrom me. And I awoke frommy sleep, and it was as though these words were written on my heart.
      (T. Now none of God's creatures was more hateful to me than an (ecstatic) poet or a man possessed: I could not even look at them. I thought, Woe is me poet or possessed--Never shall Qurayshsay this of me!
I will go to the top of the mountain and throw myself down that I may kill myself and gain rest.
So I went forth to do so and then when I was midway on the mountain, I heard a voice.from heaven saying, "O Muhammad! thou art the apostle of God and I am Gabriel."
I raised my head towards heaven to see (who was speaking), and lo, Gabriel in the form of a man with feet astride the horizon, saying, "O Muhammadl thou art the apostle of God and I am Gabriel."...
then he parted from me and I from him, returning to my family. And I came to Khadija and sat by her thigh and drew close to her. She said, "O Abél-Qsim,' where hast thou been? By God, I sent my messen gers in search ofthec, and they reached the high ground above Mecca and returned to me." (T. I said to her, "Woe is me poet or posseSSed." She said, "I take refuge in God from that O Abül-Qisim.
God would not treat you thus snce he knows yourtruthfulness, your great trustworthiness, your fine character, and your kindness. This cannot be, my dear. Perhaps you did see something."
"Yes, I did," I said.) Then I told her of what I had seen; and she said, "Rejoice, O son of my uncle, and be of good heart. Verily, by Him in whose hand is Khadija's soul, I have hope that thou wilt be the prophet of this people."*
Then she rose and gathered her garments about her and set forth to her cousin Waraqa b. Naufal b. Asad b. 'Abdu'l "Uzz b. Qu_ayy, who had become a Christian and read the scriptures and learned from those that follow the Torah and the Gospel.
And when she related to him what the apostle of God told her he had seen and heard, Waraqa cried, Holy! Holy! Verily by Him in whose hand is Waraqa's soul,if thou hast spoken to me the truth, O Khadija, therchathoo me unto him the greatest Namus (T. meaning Gabriel) who came to Moses afore time, and lo, he is the prophet of this people. Bid him be of good heart.
So Khadija returned to the apostle of God and told him what Waraqa had said. (T. and that calmed his fears somewhat.) And when the apostle of God had finished his period of seclusion and returned (to Mecca), in the frst place he performed the circumambulation of the Ka'ba, as was his wont.
While he was doing it, Waraqa met him and said, "O son of my brother, tell me what thou hast seen and heard.' The apostle told hum, and Waraqa said, 'Surely, by Him in whose hand is Waraqa's soul, thou art the prophet of this people. There hath come unto thee the greatest Namus, who camme unto Moses. Thou wilt be called a liar, and they wil use thee despite fully and cast thee out and fight against thee. Verily, if I live to see that day, I willhelp God insuch wise as He knoweth.' Thenhe brought his head near to him and kissed his forehead; and the apostle went to his own house. (T. Waraqa's words added to his confidence and lightened his anxiety.)

      Ibn Kathir:
The first indication of revelation to the Messenger of God (SAAS) came in the form of true visions in his sleep. Every vision he had came like the breaking of dawn.
      "He then developed a liking for solitude. He would spend time alone in the cave Hirz', where he would seek religious purification through devotions. He would stay there many nights and then return to his family for more provisions to continue doing so;
then he would come down to Khadija and repeat the same.
"Eventually the Truth came to him while he was there in that cave Hirs".
"The angel came and told him, 'Read!' He replied, 'I don't read.' He then said, 'The angel then overpowered me and choked me until I could bear it no more, and then he released me. Again he said, 'Read!' Again I replied, 'I don't read.' Once more he overpowered me and choked me till I could bear it no more, then he released me and said, 'Read!' I replied, 'I don't read.' Again he over- powered me and choked me a third time until I could bear it no more. Then he released me and said,
      'Read in the name of your Lord who created;
He created man from a clot.
Read! Your Lord is the most noble, He who taught by the pen.
He taught man what he did not know' (sarat al-'Alaq, XCVI, v.1-5).
"The Messenger of God (SAAS) returned home with this, his heart palpitating. He went in to Khadija, daughter of Khuwaylid, and said, 'Wrap me up! Wrap me up!' They did so until the terror left him. "He then spoke to Khadija, telling her what had happened, saying, 'I was afraid for myself.'
"Khadija replied, 'Oh no! I swear by God He would never abuse you. You maintain family ties, yon are hospitable to guests, you support the weak, provide for the poor and help out when tragedy strikes.'
"Khadija then humed off with hi to Waraqa b. Nawfal b. Asad b. 'Abd al-Wzzit, who was her cousin. He had earlier become a Christian, and used to write the Hebrew script, copying out from the Bible in Hebrew whatever God inspired him to write.
He was an old man by then, and he was blind. "Khadija told him, '0 cousin! Listen to your nephew!' Waraqa then addressed him, '0 nephew, what did you see?' The Messenger of God (SAAS) then told him what he had seen.
Waraqa commented, 'This was the angel Gabriel who used to come down to Moses. How I wish I were a young man again! I hope I am still alive when your people exile you!'
The Messenger of God (SAAS) exclaimed, 'Are they to exile me?' 'Yes,' he replied, 'no one has ever received what you have without being treated as an enemy. If I am alive when your time comes, I will give you every help.'

Regarding the Islamic Dilemma, Muslims sometimes respond with 2:79
Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: "This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.
Is this saying that the scriptures are corrupted? Then what?

The Hebrew reads "leprous as snow" .
      The Septuagint reads "as snow".
The Peshitta often follows the Septuagint but reads "leprous as snow" in this case.
Interestingly, Targum Onqelos reads "white as snow". So I think the quran follows a paraphrase in this case.
However, the letter ر in the Hijazi Mayl and Kufic script is quite small and could resemble a dotless ta.

The past is the problem. The past can not be changed. It doesn't matter if I am happy or unhappy because if I am alive the story continues. Atheism is wrong. Why persist in the mistake? If God exists the truth is God exists. It is better that God exists. It is better that eternity exists and life has a meaning and a purpose. The universe was created from something incredibly powerful and intelligent. God is unbelievable. God created the universe after existing forever. God is impossible to understand. How can something create the universe after existing forever? It's not possible to understand. Time is eternal. Time always existed. Time created the universe after existing forever. Why? Why would God create life? What's the point? Being God why would you create life after existing forever? I think Spinoza was right and God created the universe from self. All is God. God is transforming. God is alive. We are constantly observed and listened. The idea of God is not a joke. Because God is necessary many people are deceived, for real, for eternity. The truth that saves literally your life is atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is the religious idea of the creator of the creation to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. I am not asking you to believe me, but to discover the truth for yourself thinking for yourself being honest. If God exists it is not going to stop existing because reality is ignored. Is your life in danger now? Humanity have to understand God exists because from nothing can not be created something. Reality is eternal. It is urgent the debate ends to save lives. You choose. Thank you.

The strength of your argument is revealed by your citing of Dan Gibson. And of course there is paralellisms between Mecca and Jerusalem, Muslims freely admit this. The Quran repeatedly invokes parallelisms between Muhammad (‎ﷺ) and earlier revelations and faithfuls of God. This strengthens our position if you possessed a modicum of thought.
