Hey! Over-communicating and taking a breath are really helpful ways to ensure that communication is effective at work. So glad you found these tips helpful to improve communication skills at work! Cheers.
Love this! The way you say something is not necessarily how the other person heard it, and that clarification can change the whole direction of the conversation
Great, now I have more knowledge about improving my communication skills at work. And now with this knowledge actually improving my communication skills at work.
Love the idea of using mindfulness in communication! These are great tips on how to improve communication skills at work. Communication skills are something I'm constantly working to improve at.
Thank you @bbqworld and thanks for letting us know about the link. We will look into that, and in the mean time here is the direct link for you www.cornerstonedynamics.com/mindfulness-at-work-tips/ Cheers!
What a great video! All your tips provided to improve communication skills are excellent. I have used the clarify and double checking in my career and it is so effective because it makes sure you are all on the same page and working towards the correct goal. I love your 10 second/24 hour rule. I had an occasion just last week where I should have used that 24 hour rule and I didn't. The communication that resulted was definitely not what it should have been...it was a little charged and if I had waited I think the communication would have been much better and better received.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience, Heather! Examples like this just remind us all that it's always a good idea to brush up on our communication skills at work. Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment. Cheers!
Our teacher said that we should listen to this viedeo and for tomorrow we must talk about what you said. But it's a good and useful one then pervios viedeo that our teacher sent last week😊
Haaah, I over-communicate ALL the time, and my FAVOURITE thing is clarifying. I almost feel a little annoying asking or repeating back things, but you’re totally right I have run into too many times where I thought I understood something or I thought someone else understood what I was saying and it was a total mismatch!
Yes! This is absolutely key. So glad you've learned to do this yourself when communicating at work. It's always better to be sure you're on the same page than to have mismatched information and have to go back and redo tasks. Cheers!
@@AdrianaGirdler Thank you madame. Thanks God, from June 3rd he will begin a new role as market research analyst at @Henkel. I hope your videos will guide him to success.

Hi Scott! Wishing you the best of luck on your brown bag session!! Would love to hear how it goes and I hope this video gave you some tips to apply:) Cheers!

Mine too - I find that checking in really helps to create that clarity and ensure you are on the same page. It's funny how we can think we were SO clear and then when they say back to us what they heard it isn't what you intended.
Thanks for your advise on how to balance my walks onunderstanding my self on talking to my interself.i like to reminder to take my advice slow to let the the advice breath slowly to let me have a clear view on my values I give myself. Thanks once again...your student Fabian...

@@AdrianaGirdler Hi Adriana! Well I love that you stress over-communication because I find so often these days that people won't communicate anywhere near enough information! So many times you end up being clueless because you haven't been given info! I always communicate a ton in any job and leave emails, notes and messages as well as in person talking because it's such a key! I also love that you mention just taking a breather too! Great tip! :)

Hi, Adriana! I want to ask that what should I do in a situation where my colleague who's in same level with me but, is bad at getting work done due to which I have to do their part as well in the end. Now, once in a while it's fine but, they are always like this! Isn't this unfair distribution of work!? The one who can do better has to struggle with extra work of others who are not willing to learn and do their own part atleast!?
I would air your concerns to your direct manager so that your performance isn't hindered by the addition of extra work that is the responsibility of someone else. Wishing you all the best and thanks for watching, cheers
The downside of overcommunicating is it can lead to confusion and people butting heads. I firmly believe it's also important for us to take our cues from others
These are basic tips but people tend to forget them, thank you ma'am for highlighting why these things are necessary to everyday interaction in the office and how it can help us to improve our social skills!
