Around the World - Leg 11 - Lijiang to Hong Kong - Lockheed C130H Hercules - MSFS 2020

Tonight we're having a crack at leg 11 of our "round the world" trip - this time taking the Lockheed C130H Hercules from Lijiang in China, to Hong Kong. Total distance - a little under 900 miles. Should be fun!

As a former US Air Force C-130 mechanic, stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base, the proper engine start procedure is 3 and 4 first, with 1 and 2 second. It allows anyone standing ground, access to the door to enter the aircraft.

Very much surprised that we do not start from ZUUU where we left our plane last flight. As ZPLJ is not in FSX we have to start anyway from another airport and thus we start in ZUUU, such we can complete the world tour. We are also not having VOR in first 2 airports on our route but an intermediate VOR helps us with interepts and finding those airports. For sure a bigger challenge than MSFS would have offered us.

Heya John, have you seen that Cap Sim have released the C-130E and J? and they say a sound update is to come in the near future. The E variant comes with flares and the J variant can air drop cargo and has flares and other than the J variant having 6/8 prop blades (can't remember) everything else remains the same
