I love this lady and I've read three of her four books so far. She is so intelligent, brave, and admirable. Also such a nice person and a wonderful friend to many people, including being a treasured friend of Princess Margaret. She's gone through seemingly overwhelming difficulties, but that stiff upper lip and her basic optimism is tremendous. At the same time she is so kind and compassionate to everyone. I'm on the verge of writing to her. You can hear her beautiful voice since she reads two of her audiobooks. What a lady, a real lady, she is.
This needed to be longer.
Her book was interesting: Lady in Waiting: My Extraordinary Life in the Shadow of the Crown.
She was just getting warmed up.

For being an award winning journalist I would expect Gayle King to bump up her game when it comes to bias and objectivity in her reporting when it comes to her friends. She is unabashedly dug in on her continual promotion and defense of Harry and Meghan. Lady Anne was gracious but at the end you could tell she is not a fan of H&M. She was a close confident and long life friend to the Queen and does not entertain drama and lazy royals. How Gayle is concerned that H&M might not be invited because it might hurt H&M's feelings.....long past that Gayle. She is fully blinkered when it comes to Harry and Meghan

I just finished reading Lady Glenconner's book and it was a delightful, and sometimes difficult, read.
"Do you hope Harry and Meghan will be invited?" Sheesh Gail, at what point are you going to stop pitching for the Duke and Duchess of Professional Victimhood? Well, we saw how that worked out. They were invited and then rudely refused to RSVP at the proper time. Then Meghan used her 4 year old's birthday as an excuse to disrespect the King and not attend. Not that she was missed but still, she pretty much left Harry to swing in the wind alone.

@@johnhughes2681 yes she was. She was lady anne coke before married to colin tennant. After that she was known as lady anne tennant. When her husband become baron glenconner, of course she become baroness glenconner or lady glenconner not lady anne glenconner.
