I’m really wondering if the dad or someone else abused the son and then he turned around and did it to his sister. Either way, this case was shocking and sad. They should not have been on tv with this. My heart goes out to the sister, she is a certified survivor!

Nobody could have foreseen that bombshell. Totally separate from that is what I've noticed about his demeanor, attitude, monotone, lack of emotion, etc that has become so common in males currently under the age of 30 that use to be extremely rare. My son and all his friends in their mid to late 20's are like a hundred generations removed from my own. As a whole they are so removed emotionally, emasculated and trying to redefine what is naturally male, lack social skills in comparison to every previous generation. I'm proud of my son and love him in every way but it's like he and his generation largely rejects anything masculine and having a really difficult time finding their true selves or place in this world. Not at all the same with my daughter or her friends in the same age group.

Or did his parents wait until he turned 18 then have the sister file charges against him ? Because if it was reported at the time it happened. Both children would've been taken away. She only mentioned the S/A (AFTER) he started talking about the extreme amount of abuse in the house. His mother really wanted to change the subject because, she probably suspected, He was getting ready to tell the world, what really went on in that house. His mother seems extremely vindictive. But still, even though I don't think he would've won the case if they omitted the assault, it _was_ relevant information if they ever wanted to counter his abuse allegation. If they only said "actually, my husdband wanted nothing to do with him after an incident that happened 4 years ago", judge Marilyn probably would've asked for clarification anyway. I don't think they should've aired it, but I think it wasn't out of line to bring it up (since Alexa seems to have agreed to do it).

I'm not sure that he sexually abused the daughter. If he's guilty, he's guilty. But if he's not, I'm not accusing someone of something that I don't know for sure. Mom seemed like she "couldn't wait" wait to tell that irrelevant detail in the case to "get back" at the son. Mom is a loser. Dad was probably abusive to the son (must have broken his nose at some point, too) and tried to make himself better by using the so-called abuse (we have no facts that it actually happened) as a way to make himself look better. Daughter has issues. Son has issues. Father sounds like he was abusive. Mom doesn't seem to want to talk about anything that happened to the son, just the daughter. Everyone is at fault. Bad parenting.

We do know Jacob has been abused, hated, blamed, unloved, taught his word means nothing Can't you see the dazed look in his eyes, can't you see he is dead inside. He was a little boy too & should have been guided through this trauma. We all make mistakes & sometimes bad enough to need help to get through our mistakes. The best thing is for Jacob to get away from them all! As an example you saw how she "helped" him with the DUI. Why didn't she just leave him alone like he wanted! He could have also told her and she just didn't believe it because the father was that sneaky. Doesn't excuse his behavior but this dude clearly needs mental help. I find it odd the father wanted nothing to do with his son after the alleged sexual assault. I'm not saying they made it up. However, at the same time, we can only go by what he was charged with as a minor. I find it strange that the father wanted nothing to do with his son after that. If the sister had not given her permission, it would not have been broadcast. 2nd, the judge asked why the rift with the father and the mother answered the question with the sister's permission. The parties are vetted. They know beforehand what the issues are. The producers do not broadcast anything that would make them liable. I find it hard to believe that the son would consent to be on this show knowing the allegation would likely come out.

The mother absolutely seemed like a narcissist. I grew up with multiple and they will be devils behind closed doors but everyone on the outside thinks they are saints, and they even convince people who know what they are to team up against you. The reason the son seems to have dead or flat expression is most likely from all the abuse and "grey rocking". The mother and father may have been jointly abusive to both the kids, but the daughter sucks up as a saftey percausion as the golden child. The children can end up becoming narcissists too. Both the mother and father could have sexually abused their own children. This does not excuse the son sexually abusing the sister, if that event is true.

    Some things I find odd...
The mother seems relatively unaffected by her daughters trauma ... rather, she is seen smiling as if she was vindicated yet her daughter is in shambles...
The son mentioned that he has been the black sheep of the family since he was 7, and whenever "someone" needed a scapegoat, they used him...
The daughter said that the son bought her a bike for her birthday ... I'm wondering how close they were, and why were they so close if he sexually abused her? Was the bike a token of his remorse? Were they so close because they were made to keep a secret, and we don't actually know the full story about the abuse? Were they protecting the father?
The son was arrested for a DUI and the mother said this is the first time he has acted out in this way ... why was he drinking so much to be 3x the legal limit? He was alone when this happened, so I don't think it's likely that he was drinking in a social setting ... and he went for a walk afterwards with a baseball bat ... what was he trying to do? The mother was concerned about him doing something with the bat, so who was he going to see with that bat?
I understand family drama, but when a child sexually abuses another child, I don't understand why people think it's a good idea for the abused child to live with their abuser ... she seems very strong and very empathetic, but I keep wondering how they managed to become close if he sexually abused her? Even as kids, I would never have a relationship with a sibling who had done that to me ... I've never been in that situation, but I can't even wrap my head around it ... I understand families need healing but THAT seems like something you keep your abused child away from...
As others have said, there's definitely more to this story, and I am very interested to know what role the father played in this ... I kind of hate catching a glimpse of their life and having so many questions. It was a really good episode though.

Agreed! Why would the Mom take the 2 kids who the sexual assault just happened with and keep them together? Why would Dad leave Mom and daughter alone with his son who according to them just molested his sister? Something isn't right in this story. Mom drops this bombshell after it appears their losing ground on the bike issue. Seems like the cameras were most likely given to the daughter as well. I think the son had been being abused since early adolescence and either Mom was complicent or complacent. I'm not saying the son is right or ok if he abused his sister. I'm saying something isn't adding up in this whole story and I think the judge took a pretty one sided approach in the heat of the moment. There is way more to this story! Very sad.

I was shocked it aired or is on here the judge also wanted to know who casted them and what production assistant was on top of it she wasn’t happy at all.

@naufhijazi8980... The judge didn't act so great herself!!!! She doesn't know all the facts, just what the poor Mother & Sister said. Jacob was mistreated, hurt, bused, unloved, misunderstood & the charge of guilt was all on his shoulders!!!! No one asked him if it was OK to let the world know this family tragedy! Just the sister! He had been so abused with this that his eyes glazed over K& he went into his brain protective helpless trans! You don't know that the sister didn't participate in the trauma & just afraid to say, or maybe Mom & Dad are are protecting her! The girl is well re-hursed in self pity. Insteading of dealing with it to make them both strong in handling the trauma, they have made him the guilty one & her the self pitying sole she will probably always be when dealing with this!

@@judyjudyjudy1841 that’s a big stretch or assumption to say but I do understand where you’re coming from as an outsider. i was there and between filming the judge was not happy this was even brought onto the show as a case, she asked which producer worked on it, and was concerned given the information as usually minors who abuse are abused themselves, that is a different matter and belongs in criminal court or special victims and not her court room which is civil cases, her being an actual judge made her highly aware of svu cases or the types of situations that create them and that this was the absolute wrong place entirely for it. It is filmed live btw, only minor cuts or edits of her responses, judge shows like this are entertainment but actually involve real law and legal proceedings. This was way way way out of place and pocket for the type of show/ cases people’s court has. I am shocked this aired actually or is still on RUclips I was apart of more than a few audiences for this show cause it’s filmed in my hometown and I can tell you they do not have situations like this ever

@@Lokislookbook77 I appreciate your response, thank you! It isn't a big stretch or assumption, I have lived life and I know what I have said can be true. I am sad for Jacob. No matter what he says, he has been found guilty by all. He needed help through this whole ordeal, but never got it. I refuse to watch it again, even though it has aired twice in the last week & I had seen it before. Why won't someone that can, take it off the air? I don't know if it is worse to keep it secret, like when I was a child or make it so public, & ruin his life like they have. The poor Sisters life hasn't been so great either Both ways are bad. My brother-in-law got away with what he did to me & he had an encounter with another girl. One other that I know, I have no clue if the "other" girl was penetrated or not. I was not penetrated, but I suffered emotionally. I never thought I was as good as the other little girls I went to school with. I felt "it was my fault". I felt dirty. I can't even imagine the horrors of being penetrated! It took years to deal with it in my mind. I think when my brother-in-law passed away, I finally had relief! I remember reading about a girl that had been abused (sexually) & was told by ignorant people that "she should make up with her Dad because she would be sorry she didn't some day!" Fortunately the answer to her was "usually they are relieved when a molester dies". I was & I think that is when I could finally come to terms. My Mother called me, one day, and said he died. My response was "Thank God". He was a useless piece of flesh! Who knows how many other little girls he messed up their childhood. Jacob was a child, young foolish and maybe wasn't a guilty alone as people thought. No matter what, he deserved help through this tragedy too!
